Oddly enough, shaders never really clicked with me. My old lappy that I do 80% of my work on can barely handle 32x32 texture packs, much less shaders, so I never really got into them. I do have a beefy computer that can run anything I throw at it (except made-for-PC games, they tend to crash ), so I can run shaders, I just never got used to doing so. I do need to go take some pictures for another mod, so maybe it's time to get back into them. Couple those with Soartex or Chroma Hills and Minecraft doesn't even look like Minecraft anymore!
Anyhoo, you didn't post here to share shaders stories, you posted to ask for an update. I'm happy to say that version 8.0 is up on Curse now. I've removed the Shift+F1 shaders mode and instead changed up the body rendering to switch between 3D and 2D arms, and HUD/ no HUD. The latter modes work better with shaders, but the former modes are more realistic. Check the OP for an explanation of each mode if you're confused.

the hands still remaining there but the shield? I have no clue. I don't
think I have any resource pack to modify them and even if i did, it
shouldn't be a problem...
Ah! That's a relief! The shield is my issue; Minecraft renders the items in your hand in third-person even if the arms are invisible. I fixed the issue with the primary hand, but I forgot that newer versions of Minecraft allow users to have secondary items. Shows how much I play.
Expect a fix in a few days.
There's actually nothing new in the new update. The past three updates have been a slow battle on making the mod compatible with shaders. The only thing that changes is how the model is rendered, and I explain that in a post on the forums. If you really want to know the current state, just look at the OP. I update that each time I update the mod.
How is that going? From what i understand it's not something you can personally fix, as it's more of a bug from the way shaders works? Have you tried contacting the guys over at optifine about the issue (or who's responsible)? Any feedback ?
Using 1.7.10-8.0.0 with smart moving (subsequently smart render). Not sure if that's what's causing the problem but my camera is stuck inside my head about when I start looking below eye-level. Is there any way to make my head invisible or adjust the camera forward some? I think an option to make the head invisible and/or adjust the camera position would be great.

There is such a great feature this (outdated) mod, that has the player holding their bow in the other hand. Dynamic hand movement included. PLEASE include this and it will make the gaming experience so exhilarating. Thanks!
I don't hav this problemand I only hav 1 more mod that edits player renders that this, Smart Moving doesn't like it. The mod is the Gender mod. works perfectly with RFPR, but if Smart Moving or MoBends (or related) is added, the breasts constantly face south no matter where u face (not an RFPR problem, this is the Gender mod's problem)
I don't even think that's the gender mod's problem, I think that's an issue with smart render. I'll have to run some tests to see where my problem is arising. Either way, a feature to allow players to move the camera forward or backward would be great.
I don't know which arms are 2d or 3d, but you're missing the mode of hiding the body and just normal minecraft arms. I liked the F12 version of the mod because it hidden the mod when you didn't want it. A mode of just default is missing, or mabe I just dont know how to hide the body with F1.
short: there isnt a mode that is default minecraft.

Contacted them, got an "I'll look into it." Not holding my breath. Honestly, I'm perfectly fine with Shaders behaving the way they do. Minecraft's rendering system is incredibly non-dynamic, so I'm just impressed that shaders work in the first place. That, and I like the way the new mode system works better than the old system, so I'll just stick with it and let perfect-shaders-support fall where it may.

I already hide the head in first-person. Smart moving is doing renders and overlooking the current state of the player model. Go bug the creator of that mod.

If you like the camera above your neck, go grab an older version of the mod. I moved the body model backwards (moving the camera is hard, moving the body is easy) as people were complaining about looking down and seeing their neck stump. Remember that cameras look straight down when rotate, while your human eyes move in a curved fashion. Minecraft doesn't like curves, and neither do computers.

I do believe he means the bow rendering edits. I'm not going to do those, as they involve complex model-editing that will cause even more trouble with the custom-animation mods. Coming into a forum and making your first post a feature request gains you no favors anyways...
it would be possible to do an outstretched hand, when you hold the item in hand, you know how in some shooters. please do not write about F1, because it is not necessary, as in the screenshot, but all the details were all the time, not just when you hit...please write what you think about this

I would be great if this mod supported any animations from other mods especially Flans Mod! I can't see aiming and gun holding animation at all...
IIRC you can put items on a "blacklist" in the config to use the default rendering method based on item ID. While that may be tedious client-side, it means that the mod author has time to improve or tweak the major needs of the mod before minor adjustments. I'd rather major issues be sorted out by the author than have them go through the trouble of dealing with something that we ourselves can do with a little spare time.
You are correct about the blacklist. Let me remind everyone that the blacklist works on any items that contain the text listed, not just those that match the text. That means that you can blacklist all of Flan's mod's items just by adding flansmod (or whatever comes before the : in the /give command), and you can blacklist any items with 'gun' in their name by just adding the word gun.
Those aren't bugs. Those are different display options.
