... say a cleansing tanning bath then a drying rack or something?
I actually really really like drying racks a lot. I don't want to loose track of the idea that this a "magic" mod but I've often used mine tweaker in the past to make it so I could produce leather with drying racks. I'll look into the tanning process some and maybe it'll inspire me. I'm not sure what I've got against flint shears. I've been asked to do that before, I just really feel like going out and making temporary friends with a giant spider is an act of compassion that's immersive and sensible to expect of a Druid... I enjoy it personally and I don't understand why feeding spiders eggs (or I think even raw chicken unless I forgot to re-add that) is so unpopular
Today's Druidry update: Sort of a Halloween update. I've been asked a lot about dimensions so I got to work re-adding those. They aren't 100% done and most of them require a command to enter (it's /setdimenson) but the Samhain is working and has a portal. (I haven't a clue why Skye's picture doesn't show it) You can make it out of lit jack o lanterns for a frame, and place a bit of faerie dust in the middle to light it. To to clarify this hopefully before it becomes a problem, roasted marshmallows require you hold an actual marshmallow on a stick in your hand while near the campfire! (also it just occurred to me that you don't get the stick back when you eat them, I don't' know why I realize that now instead of when I coded them *facepalm*)
Here's Skye in one of the new monster masks. I think it's an improvement, frankly. Much less horrifying, and matches her outfit.
Hey, just FYI: Druidry and More Bees (an extension for the Forestry mod) don't get along and cause the game to crash.

A detailed walkthrough of the error, its code path and all known details is as follows:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay! "Druidry v2016.9.26 for MC 1.9.4 to 1.10.2" uploaded just a few minutes ago should fix this! It looks like more bees was making a sort of silly assumption that if the ore exists the dust definitely would as well, and was trying to look up our silver dust which didn't exist.
Also Skye tells me that More Bees doesn't have this bug in the latest version and she gets no crashes, so you could try updating More Bees if that's reasonable for you. Either way, I hope this works for you, please get back to me if it doesn't!

Ok that makes sense. Thank you for looking into it!
This mod seems quite amazing, i definitely see myself playing with it in the future. I really love naturey mods >///.///< and want to stream it ^^;
I kind of see this mod having a lot of naturey aestetics pieces like fireflies in a jar, oil lanterns, flowery vines, maybe thats just me. I noticed some items from the mod spawn in swamp biomes, i was wondering if the mod would generate these items in mods that add biomes like biomes o plenty's lush swamp or if i would have to specifically hunt down a vanilla swamp to get those items if i had both mods installed.
Sorry I am posting so much, i just stumbled upon it at 2am ^^; today and couldn't help myself
I don't know if this is a bug or if I'm doing this wrong, but flint axes appear to be uncraftable for me. I can spawn one in just fine, but with or without a workbench, I can't get one legitimately. Otherwise this is a pretty fun and bug free mod.
I have read your legal information. I do not know if i need to ask for permission or not for use of your mod in the modpack i am building. The modpack is named Retrobutioncraft. I am currently trying to build this modpack up for 1.10 to get it submitted into FTB third party packs. Please let me know if i can use this mod in my pack.

Thanks! Let us know when you stream it, we would love to watch you play with our mod sometime =)
Those ideas are absolutely adorable, they'd be super fun to have in the mod sometime! I'll add them to my notes. From a quick bit of testing mallow seeds don't seem to drop in the BoP biomes yet. Since searching for a vanilla biome might take a while, you can build a portal out of lit jack o lanterns and light it with faerie dust to get to a vanilla swamp that drops the mallow seeds! (you'll have to place some blocks for the pumpkins on the top to sit on and then break the blocks underneath to get the pumpkins to float!)
and lol, no worries about saying too much or anything. Thanks for posting, we appreciate it!

I'm not sure what the issue is if that recipe doesn't work though and we can look into it.
We have a list of all the recipes here too, if anyone wants to check that out.

That's cool, you have permission to use Druidry in the modpack! Good luck with it and let us know when its out!

thanks, i'll have to do that and figure out how to get fairy dust, i've kind of been jumping around the differents mods i have installed. I'm trying to stream minecraft every monday and friday starting at 4 est, though with huricane mathew hitting my area i might be unable to this friday i guess we'll see.
Since this mod inspired me to read up on Druid lore, I came up with some ideas that are in line with its theme. I'd do it myself but my modding skills are so bad I'd probably set my laptop on fire just from attempting this. Anyways, just wanted to share my ideas:
- Raven - seen as a messenger between worlds. Therefore it will occasionally spawn from a Nether Portal. Killing one is bad luck (you lose hearts when you hit one). However, it will sometimes drop black feathers on their own. The feathers are infused with glowstone (imagine the glowstone dust from the Nether getting naturally caught up in them) that can be used to craft a "raven's lantern".
- Raven's Feather - Can only be obtained by raven's shedding them. Killing them will not result in obtaining a feather, nor meat. This is because they are magical creatures and it is bad luck to kill them.
- Raven's Lantern - Crafted with 4 raven's feathers in a diamond shape. Creates a black, feathery sphere that emits light at the level of glowstone.
- Raven's Rope - Crafted with 3 raven's feathers, placed vertically on a crafting table. Provides 3 1-block tall ropes. These ropes are thin and black, can be attached to solid objects from below to be used to hang Raven's Lanterns.

so you would want to put them in a cage and gather their feathers with a hopper?
Huh? No. Why would I want to do that? That would seem kind of contrary to the Druidic philosophy of respecting nature.
Also, this question is very confusing to me. How would you even do that? Are there Minecraft mods that have cages that you can put animals in?
there are mods that allow you to make spawners for any mob, plus a cage could just be some blocks iron bars for example. Obviously its against the druidic philosophy but people like automating things and will almost always find a way to automate something. Especially if they wanted to cover their base with raven lanterns for example. Alot of players shove like 50 chickens in a single block space above a hopper to collect eggs it would be no different then that.
Ok well, obviously that's not what I had in mind when I made this suggestion. And before you say that it's what a lot of players would end up doing, I can't control what other people do. The intention behind my suggestion is in line with the Druidic philosophy.

i had a feeling, i really like the idea to be honest. I think its neat, i love animals. Hell if this was a feautre i'd probably build a huge kind of enclosure and have a few vaccum hoppers or equivelent littered about so the ravens could fly around in a large environment while i still got the feathers and such.
I've added Druidry to my personal 1.7.10 mod pack and so far, I really love it! No longer do I have to worry about crafting all my wooden planks into sticks on accident since I now have a near endless supply of them, and the Alex zombies look great! I also stumbled across a Unicorn and squealed with delight when I did. It's labeled as a horse when I hover over it, but are they capable of breeding with Minecraft horses?
Also, I have discovered the Fay Wand. That thing is too much power for a cat lover to have, so after nearly crashing my game from overusing it, it has been safely put away in its own chest.
Anyway, I love the mod so far, and I really hope to see you continue to do an awesome job! I'd love to see more!
I should probably report here that feeding chickens does not cause them to drop feathers, as the re-added features list suggests. Other than that, I've been wanting to try out this mod for a long time and finally got around to it tonight. Loving it so far.
Does anyone have any suggestions for naturalist-playthrough suggestions? I'm considering never harming a peaceful mob or cutting down any trees, since this mod makes that possible, but what are some other reasonable/lore-friendly challenges? I'm currently not sure how I feel about mining, but I don't think I can get by without that.
I really like this mod; it's nice to see something that isn't post-endgame and is well-integrated with itself. :-)
That said, I am using it with a bunch of other mods, and I was wondering if there was a way to turn off just one recipe in the crafting. The fried egg recipe overrides Eggy Goodness, which uses a straight cooked egg as the basis for several other recipes. :-(

So many mods, so little time.
I didn't realize feeding spiders would get you the string, I thought you still had to kill them. Have to give that a try.
