Was wondering if we could get a list of Colored Metal block vs biome. I really like the look of the black machines so i want to know were to hunt down a large supply of black metal.

I think you can use that paint/airbrush-item (read the description in the scanner->tech-Tree) to color all the metalblocks yourself (the ones you can craft).
So there should be no need to hunt/search these blocks of any color.

as @Neikei911 already said it is possible to uncolor and recolor metal blocks wich the airbrush, just use sand/gravel to remove the paint in the blocks and then recolor them.
On page 7 and page 13 Support points are mentioned and even talked about a little in relationship to someone getting caught up on that stage. Currently I have about 60 hours invested into your mod between exploring the world, researching various aspects, and my girlfriend and I are loving it. The machines from it just look so cool ... well right now I'm at an block. I just barely stopped my GF from blowing everything up with TNT as we got a little frustrated with the UI and started to use google ... We're in the tier 2 area and need support points. We have support machines hooked up. We have as many research helpers and support machines hooked up in the area as will fit in a 3x3x3 area and we can't seem to generate any support points. We've tried everything, and read through the manual several times. Can someone please do a step by step walkthrough for us on how to generate SP. We have flash drives researched, and can potentially move it once we generate it, just the creation of the SP is having us really frustrated ... thanks.
Current Research - Glowstone Flash Upgrade
Stuck at - Unable to create/gain/move Support Point
[EDIT!:] Added a picture of the inside of the research machine. It has the yellow bar half up, we don't know where or how it got to there, or how to make it progress further. Hope this extra info helps.
[PS: "The machine is working with each Item that match to the recipe that includes Meta states and OreDictionary" - listed under "Opti Bench" could use a little work as the sentence structure makes it hard to understand what is being described.]
I'm not 100% sure that I'm not doing something wrong, however...
I have no more researchable blueprints that I can obtain without using NE. I have one that uses NE, but it seems that I'm unable to progress farther.
If this is due to one of the two things that I'm about to name, then this needs to be addressed (and I will detail why afterwards)
1 - If it comes down to finding an item within a "dungeon"
2 - If it comes down to finding one of the larger "dungeons"
If #1 is the case, then something needs to change. Gating technology behind itself is not a good idea, as if one is unlucky (such as myself) it will only serve to frustrate, annoy, and drive people away.
If #2 is the case, then there needs to be a better way of finding them. Same as above, luck is too much of a factor.
I have found 8 "dungeons" for a total of 32 wardrobes, and still have not come across one of the larger areas. I also have yet to find a battery or cable in any of them.
If progressing means blindly wandering about hoping to get lucky, then this design needs to be changed. It is frustrating and makes me want to just spawn my progression using cheats. If I feel this way, then so will others.

Basicly the Neon Furnace and the Optibench generate 1SP for each recipe the progress, so even If I make Oak planks I will only get 1SP and not 4 (the recipe output is 4). Also each item smelted will produce 1SP. The t2 modules store the sp points and provide them to the researcher. Alsol mostly of what you have build is "useless" because you have conected the T1 modules via normal wires, so only NE can flow into the t1 modules. But the researcher need a network connection (via network cables)
I can confirm that the only time you need to salvage materials from a tech-dungeon is in the very first part of the game where you have to steal some metal blocks to make your first machines. Everything after that can (and must) be done by research. If you haven't unlocked something by research there's no point taking it from a tech-dungeon as you can't use it anyway.
Try putting all your existing machines into the scanner one by one and confirm that everything's at 100%. Some things will appear to be 100% at some points then gain more options after you've unlocked something else, so it's worth testing everything again. If there's a machine you've researched but not made yet, make it, and test it.
The Generator (Stirling Engine) is the first NE generating machine you get access to, so once you've got that bad boy, and cables, and research module (energy), you should be able to start on the NE blueprints by hooking your generator up to the energy module and giving it some fuel to burn. If you can't make the Stirling Engine due to not knowing about neon ingots, try scanning the Industrial Furnace.
With your advice I managed to figure out that the generator needs to be scanned in order to unlock further power options. This should probably be better reflected somewhere in the E-Scanner. Thanks for your help.
I'm working on like my 10th version of an *almost* fully automated fuel refinery and am wondering why the fuel rods are not stackable in some inventories and are in others... Why not make them stackable everywhere??? It's so frustrating storing unstacked fuel rods in wardrobes or tanks only to see them stack beautifully in an optibench output slot!
They are unstackable if they are stackable then this is a bug. This was needed because there is a chance for them to turn into blaze powder when inserted into the fuel tank and you dont want to turn your 64 stack of fuel into one tiny blaze powder, so this is only preventing bad things.
I have programmed an opti-bench for crafting fuel out of bitripentium, blaze rods and gunpowder. If the opti-bench has no output (no connected device for extracting inventory, for example), the fuel rods stack up in the output slot. This makes perfect sense and if it's a bug, leave it!
I get your explanation about the fuel rods possibly turning into blaze powder when insterted into the tanks, and that brings me to the unavoidable question of... why? I find no practical use for that and fuel rods being so hard to produce, it's quite frustrating when you just lose some to this random occurence.
So, user's vote here: remove random fuel rods turning into blaze powder and make them stackable!

I should have said days ago, I have noticed your request and I am currently thinking about how to change the whole fuel tank to still have the resiclying option (yep the blazepowder was meant as recycling) but still have the stackability.
Thank you for your help, sorry it took two weeks to reply, college finals and such, but we were able to make things work with the help you gave. It took two trips into the nether to get 1600 netherrack to smelt for points but we did it and have been able to move on to glowite and other more exotic materials. Thank you again.

Angie_Furclad and i play on the same server.
one thing were both having a problem with is the polarity UI for the batteries.
Simply put, there isn't one. something might be interfering with it's display?
Can you please provide screen shots of what it's Supposed to look like, or indicate what sorts of things could conceivably interfere with whatever GUI you have for viewing battery polarity? the E-Scanner says "there are to states, in and out" but in blindly Shift-Right clicking, Angie and I are encountering 3:
In, ᅟ Out, ᅟ and (Off or Unknown or both In+Out ?)
Further more, Battery-Boxes seem to do funky things when placed next to other batteries or power sources, without a neon wire conduit passing the power.
Are wires even needed if batteries are set right next to each other???
I've sent you a friend request on skype, so we can live chat, and i can show you video of the error(s)//oddities live.
[Edit: Oh also the nether does not seem to generate any Retium or glow stone sands. sand the End has no EndSands. we've looked all over for crystal crops. but only overworld generated any. Though the Bunkers in Nether are available. ]

she and i are not getting that sky-blue highlight in any mode of the logistics editor. and defiantly not the red or green side markings. im struggling to make guesses as to what i'm doing on the surface when i click a battery box, because we have no visual aid to lend us info of that sort.
can you help me understand why? ive worked very hard to unlock everything i've got so far in survival mode, ive been standing in the same store room for a week with my pile of future-pack contraptions crafting and studying researching building scanning, each new element along the way.
some things are still confusing to me. like why no power comes out of the infusion generator into other power-hungry devices when i have working internal boards chips and a damage control unit making sure it doesn't toast. the energy bar is full but i cant get the energy out with the standard cables. Ive put a lot of work into playing through this mod and struggling blindly in some cases to beat things with a wrench or voltmeter till they work ... mostly.
any idea what mod might be directly conflicting with my ability to view the Logic-testers highlight frame?

OOohhh!!! Cool! Please advise when you upload the update with this new feature. In the meantime, I sit anxiously and wait! Thanks

Yeah this is indeed a bug, and it it strange why you have to insert an item wich nothing...
seems like the researcher is waiting for a non-existing item "glasss_bottle" (which doesnt have an icon)?
Well... Changing it to "glass_bottle" fixed the issue and the research can finally be completed.
Just released a new version fixing the bug with the Ultimate Chip
New 1.11.2 version fixing various crashes
Using version 1.10.2-24.2.118.jar
