I asked someone else that uses a skywars map . They are custom maps with islands of land in a void biome . They think that worldmap might think our map is a The End or the Nether .
I appreciate the info and the world save. Isn't really related to the void biome, water level or the heightmaps. It's actually just that you're using an "incomplete" world generator that doesn't set the LightPopulated byte in the chunk data, probably because it doesn't generate light data. I'll remove the check for this byte in the next update and it should work.

Hello good I am having certain problems with the mod, the truth is, a great mod but I have a problem when exporting the map to png, they appear as only two or three parts of the map quite dark and the rest black, the map is not very large, I have tried creating the map with a few chunks and the same problem if you do not understand, I attach screenshots, I am in minecraft 1.12.2 with forge 14.23.5.2860, I thought it could be because of the biome mod (biome bundle) but without it it also fails, it is only when exporting in game it looks good but when you export it does not, I have tried previous versions up to 1.20.6 (the current one) up to 1.20 but the problem persists, I have changed to version 1.16 .5 of minecraft and the problem is gone, but I need to play minecraft 1.12.2 for the other mods. Thanks in advance.
PS: the two that look good are the ones i have tried in 1.16.5 and the other three in 1.12.2 both in the same conditions with little open ground

* Compatible with Xaero's Minimap / Better PVP 20.23.0 or newer. Version 22.7.0 is HIGHLY recommended.
* When generating a map from the world save, the chunks that have not yet been populated with light value are no longer going to be ignored. This will cause some minor "lighting glitches" at the edges of the discovered map but it is worth it for the support of some world generators that do not generate light values.
+ Added a new map overlay/highlight system to be used for future map overlays, e.g. claimed chunks from Xaero's Parties and Claims. I want to make sure that it doesn't break anything when it isn't used, since I had to rewrite a lot of existing systems.
* Significantly improved branch map texture updates (used on further zoom-outs). Completely removed map regions should now affect the branch textures. The "root" textures, which are often visible at any zoom (blurry), should now update at any zoom as well.
* Optimized subsequent map texture uploads.
* Started using direct buffer pools to reduce the number of direct allocations/deallocations.
* Reworked the world map elements system which is currently used for waypoints and to be used for future features.
* Fixed map regions sometimes not appearing in the PNG export even though they've already been generated.
* Improved text formatting support in tooltips, which should be useful for future features.
+ Added the ability to select (a) chunk(s) by dragging the mouse over the map with the right mouse button pressed. As of now, it is not used for anything but displaying the chunk coordinates in the right-click menu. Will be used in the future for chunk-specific options, e.g. chunk claiming.
* The world map right-click menu will no longer contain any coordinates when the "Cursor Coordinates" setting is disabled. You still need to use the "Hide Waypoint Coordinates" minimap setting to hide coordinates on other screens.
* (1.18.2 - 1.17.1) Fixed shared world map locations outside of the discovered map not being converted to 2D waypoints.

To stop the crash i just removed Liteloader from the directory , it might have been a mixin bug , but the new version works .
quick question . If i have a fully rendered worldmap in single player , can i use it when i am on the server, they are the same map . I thought i could just copy over the cache files but the server render just started again from scratch . what files and directories can i copy from the single player cache to the server cache to have a fully rendered worldmap on the server.
No, it wasn't a mixin bug. It crashed when reloading game resources before rendering any waypoints on the world map.
There is no map data you can copy to multiplayer. It's simply not saved in singleplayer. Cache is not the actual map.

Is there a way to make the mod only map the chunks I've physically been in? I really love the map, but I would prefer areas I haven't been to to not be revealed.
The only way to do this is to lower your render distance because the map is generated from the world save.

I was testing Forge 1.16.5 . its doing the same as the 1.12.2 . It will not render void biome . Identicall issue as before on version

* Fixed error when the minimap highlighter is null and the world map tries to interact with it.
* Some improvements to the map element rendering system needed for the parties and claims integration.
* Chunk selection will no longer begin when you right click a waypoint.
