Hi there, I just switched to Xaeros to test it out on 1.18.1 but I am having some problems.
There are two points in the mod description which appear to be unavailable. (I'm on the latest Forge version of the mod.)
Essentially there is nothing keybound to "M", nothing keybindable that enables a full/world map view, so I can't access anything other than the minimap which make it impossible to look up faraway pins in a 2D area.
EDIT: As discussed on Twitter, there are two separate mods that can go together, the minimap one and the world map one.
When teleporting the player, can you please explicitely run "minecraft:teleport" instead of just "teleport" or "tp"?
The "teleport" and "tp" commands are very likely to be reused by other mods, for example EssentialsX, and then often lack support for the dynamic variables like "@s" etc.
The @s selector is necessary for the yaw rotation part of the teleport. You can replace all of it, including @s in the full waypoint menu "Options". Also, pretty sure "minecraft:teleport" or "minecraft:tp" does not exist by default.

Ah, thanks. I must have overlooked that option there for some reason. That solves it, of course.
I suppose, those alternative or substitute commands are part of CraftBukkit and its derivatives, then. (obviously to prevent that Vanilla MC commands become inaccessible by being overridden by plugins)

Same thing for minimap, but having both mods installed makes mc not start at all and just crashes back to launcher with exit code 0. I hope it's not a skill issue on my part and it helps catch a bug. Cheers
Please restart your browser and redownload both files. Maybe even hard refresh the download page with CTRL F5 a couple of times. Not sure what exactly gets rid of the download cache. Should be fixed now though.

Yup, all good now. ctrl+f5 or shift+f5 don't remove cache per se, they just ignore it.
Update 1.18.9 (MC 1.18.x):

I am a long time user of Voxelmap who recently changed to Xaero's. While I like a whole lot of things there are a couple things that I am really missing from Voxel.
1. The ability to highlight waypoints. Maybe it exists but I can't seem to find it. I would love a way to be able to highlight a waypoint. When a waypoint is highlight no matter how far away it is it would appear on the minimap in a special way, maybe a different colored background or maybe as a red X, something so that it very easily stands out. I use a lot of waypoints and sometimes it can be very hard to tell which one is which when there are multiple ones in the same area. This would also work great if you spot a cool new location on the world map that you want to check out, you could right click, highlight this location and then easily make your way to spot.
2. Alternate ways to show waypoints in game. This one isn't quite as crucial to me as the first, but I'd love it if we could have the option to display in game waypoints as either a marker (as they are now) or as a beacon beam, or both.

1. Great idea. It has been requested before, I just haven't got to it yet. Meanwhile, you might want to consider configuring a maximum waypoint render distance and setting some "global" waypoints, if you want them to still render beyond it. And you can also organize your waypoints into sets. Both can significantly reduce the number of unwanted waypoints on the screen.
2. I disagree that beacons bring any new functionality at all compared to markers. I have implemented them for another mod in the past, so that isn't the issue. If you can give me an example of where only a beacon would work, then I can think about it.

Hi xaero
first of all, thanks a lot for your fantastic mods they are so useful. Unfortunately, I ran into an issue, I lost a great part of the map.
I created a map by slowly flying over it, which takes a huge amount of time. The map is created for an SMP to show where people put their bases (so the area is rather large). The map is done on a single player world that has the same seed as the SMP (which isn't online yet).
I wanted to update the map as a few more people chose locations, but when I opened the map, a large part seems to have disappeared. The waypoints are still there, but the map is missing.
The attachment shows the map. The width is the filled bottom part everything below and above that is black disappeared.
Is there a way to create such a map without flying over it? It literally took me days to do so. Basically, this would be a way to generate part of the world automatically.

Thanks for the support! Sorry, there is nothing you can do. The mod does not save "a map" when you use it in singleplayer, it only generates world map cache from the world save. You can't have a multiplayer map with just cache. I'm surprised you didn't notice issues immediately. You might be able to generate a map from a world save in the future though.

Hiya Xearo! i love your mod. though i seem to have a problem with it. i am playing on 1.16.5 on a pregenerated map. This however seems to impact the map generation. As it just. completely loads the entire map instead of the part i explored. Is there a way to fix this?
