I'm sorry to disappoint you, but there is no gui-api and no render system for 1.8.9. CreativeCore for 1.8.9 does not contain all those things. So i would need to update those two things and that would take some more time
Btw SpongeForge is already out ready for 1.10.2: http://files.minecraftforge.net/maven/org/spongepowered/spongeforge/index_1.10.2.html
but i'm not really sure if this is usable.
