Love the concept, but the climate, biomes, and river/lake systems need some work.
For instance, this is supposed to be Lake Tahoe:
If you fixed those few things I'd never play Minecraft without this mod
I currently don't have any river/lake data to use, but if I find any I will implement it right away! The biomemap has been made manually, and isn't perfectly accurate. If you would like to improve it, you can contribute it by making a pull request here and improving what you found inaccurate.
The Mod laags as hell ): i have only 30 fps when i use it and when i want to use a shader on it, the game crashes and when i want to teleport to a location ( /tplatlong 51.2391741 7.1509492 19.75), the game crashed too

Allocating more RAM to Minecraft should solve the lag problem. You can allocate more RAM by editing your Forge profile, ticking 'JVM Arguments' and changing 'Xmx1G' to 'Xmx2G'. I'm not sure what's causing the crash - it doesn't look in any way related to this mod, but it seems like you have no other mods installed. I can't give you an answer on that, but I can suggest that you try using Forge 1.8.9 recommended instead of latest.
This mod is very cool. I have a suggestion though for mod Compatibility. If this mod was compatible with mods like RTG, BOP, and structure mods etc. I am just imagining the diversity in biomes that you could explore in the parts of the world they would be found. Also as far as structure generation goes. If that was a possible thing to be implemented someday that would be awesome. Other than that I think this mod is awesome and has a lot of potential.
Also if your looking for more data. You can find it at the USGS website. Tools like Earth explorer are helpful. Also http://www.naturalearthdata.com/ is another site that maybe can help.
OK no, 1.7.10 is still one of the most popular versions for modding. About 90% of all the mods I have are only for 1.7.10 forge. Seriously, 1.8 made combat horrible and 1.9 ruined it completly. Please, just make the mod for 1.7.10, it's really cool.

I am never touching 1.7.10 again, it's horribly outdated. Sorry.
Hey dude, I saw you posted something about making a mod similar to the starminer mod for 1.8 (or any version newer then 1.7.10) thank you so much for that, I can't wait for its release! Is it gonna be part off this mod, or is it gonna be seperate? also, this mod seems already amazing!! Would you mind if i request this mod to Popularmmos (a youtuber)
If I Were to put this mod on a cauldron server, would players need to install the mod to join? This seems like something that SHOULD be server sided, is it?
The mod is really cool, but a question! Why Europe don't have any trees? I explore - Italy, germany, franch and I found only one trees xD I don't think this like real earth
I tried to get it as similar as possible, but it's not perfect.

What about 1.8? There are some mods that make Minecraft look more realistic and fun (like Airplane and Vehicle mods). I Use this mod (The Earth Mod) too often and i am currently building some cities, but when i need to get to the another city i have to use the cordinate of the city and teleport to the city which makes it unrealistic.
With the way everything is generated, lakes are almost impossible to find. Lake Superior is a vast forest, Yellowstone is a snowy waste/grassland, the badlands are more forest and rivers are pretty much not generated. Hawaii looks really great and other mountains do too, it just seems like the more in-between things are missing. The more inland you go, the more and more odd it gets. Overall, though, it looks great.

Would be nice if you added small random buildings where major cities would be. Maybe even just one landmark, like somebody else already suggested. Maybe you could just ask people to make miniature landmarks and send you the schematics for you to use in the mod.

I can not open the .jar. Any reason for that?
Why are you trying to open the .jar?

Just wondering, but when will this be updated to the Microsoft Update/1.9?

Maybe 1.7.10 version?
Unfortunately players would need the mod. :/

You can contribute to the biomemap here! https://github.com/gegy1000/EarthBiomemap
can you add compability to biomes o plenty?for 1.7.10 but guess not huh
trying to make this work on multi... ugh, i always have the worst luck in this stuff

the 1:95 scale is kind of a bummer. Is there a reason you couldnt do 1:1?
