Thank you very much for this mod, but I'm having an issue. The standard feature of translating chat live works exactly as expected, but manual translation does nothing and no matter what language I select I cannot actually translate any of my messages into anything but Spanish.
I selected my "Translate messages To" to Japanese but when i enter a message it sends it in spanish. i am using the Gui bars and my "translate from" is from english so it seems the translator is locked on spanish. is this a 1.12 problem? im using 1.12
Hello, in both 1.8.9 versions of the mod, when using the GUI to translate to another language it automatically goes to spanish and you cannot change it with the button. You have to go into config or else it won't work.
I hope that this will fix your issue, where it says German open the config file with a editing software and it should say spanish, change it to the language you want.
EDIT: To the creator of this mod, please fix the issue where you have to go into the config file to change the language, this only happens in 1.8.9 versions and the button does nothing. Thank you for the mod
The problem stated above has been fixed long ago in future versions.
Support for 1.8.9 has stopped four years ago. Please consider using later versions of Minecraft. The only old version that would be supported is 1.7.10.

I am trying to use this on a server with a decently large Croatian player base, and it works pretty well when people direct message me, or if i need to say something back that needs to be translated. Could help me find a regex that works to translate straight from general chat, thank you! I have included a picture of what it looks like in chat.
Any reason for it to tell me I am offline while I am on a server?? It really confuses me and I'm not quite sure what network settings it is talking about, cause I've even checked and yandex isn't blocked on my network. I'm just really confused by this.

- ADD: Re-adding retranslation. So that you can translate any mistranslations
- ADD: Google cloud translation. A paid Google translation service option is now available.
- UPD: Minor UI changes
- RMV: Yandex translations. They've proofed to be quite unreliable and since they removed the free option. There's no reason to keep using it.
Additionally, the mod is now open source. Check out the repository below.
- ADD: Baidu translation. For people from North Korea and "other countries" (#8)
- FIX: Translator crash due to previously failed translation (#11)
- FIX: Failed to get chat log from regex screen (#10)
- FIX: Google translate API call error (#14)

Assuming you are using the latest version. Use this
