I just installed this on 1.9 and the textures are missing for the seats and pretty much most of all the mod components ... why??

1. For key configurations, is it possible to cancel keyboard event for other mods when the player is seated?
2. The font size in Unicode mode should be larger, at least 1.0x. Otherwise text is broken and illegible when the screen resolultion is less than 960p.

Hello, I was playing xbpacked 1.8.9 and I placed a plane and can not figure out how to pick it up. It's kind of stuck in hole. I thought maybe I could drive it out. I built wheels and a seat and couldnt move it. Put am engine on with fuel, started it revved it up toggle the parking break several times. Never moved.

The aircraft dials (Such as altitude indicator and heading indicator) are there to guide you when world gen cannot keep up. If you can help it, try flying as slow as possible with the flaps down in order to allow world gen to keep up.

You cannot pick the planes back up. This is for realism's sake (being a simulator and all). If you have placed a plane in a bad spot, best bet is to blow it up [Note: I'm not sure, but I think it is also possible to destroy a plane by punching it's entity centre point in creative mode].

In real life I could destroy a wooden airplane body with an axe. Great, now I have to blow up tnt in my farm "for realism." Where was realism when I had a tiny model of a plane in my hand turn into a giant intangible plane? You know what else is real? Wrenches.
There is realism, then there is game play balance and utility. I hope more thought goes into this going forward.

2. The font size in Unicode mode should be larger, at least 1.0x. Otherwise text is broken and illegible when the screen resolultion is less than 960p.
What mods are you referring to? If the mod is taking your keypresses while piloting the plane it's due to a fault in the mod or you having that key bound to the same key as a plane control. Check the controls in the options menu and the controls in the MFS menu to make sure there's no conflicting keys. MFS has a custom keyboard polling system specifically to prevent it from taking other mod's keyboard events, so if a mod is doing something while you're seated it's the desired behavior.
As to resolution, I don't notice any broken text when running my computer in 800x600 mode. If you'd post some screenshots I'd be happy to help further debug the problem.

You kind of don't. It's hard for players to get a plane going over 30 bps, and unless you're in a dive plane's won't pass 40bps. Prior to that propellers are coded to break to prevent any excess speed from accumulating. Flaps do slow you down, but they're mainly used for the slower takeoff and landing operations.
That being said, there's a config option that controls the speed of planes relative to their 'true' speed. All the physics are the same; it's just the planes only move a fraction of the amount they're supposed to. As a general basemark I've set this factor to 0.5, which gives good top speed and handling. If you have a weaker computer or are hosting a server you might be better off knocking this value down to 0.4 or 0.3. This prevents players from lagging the server due to chunk generation or wrong-position packet updates.
You cannot pick the planes back up. This is for realism's sake (being a simulator and all). If you have placed a plane in a bad spot, best bet is to blow it up [Note: I'm not sure, but I think it is also possible to destroy a plane by punching it's entity centre point in creative mode].
You can't pick the plane up, but you can destroy it by shift-left-clicking the center of the plane. I'm working on improving this system in the new release, as this method won't work for larger planes.
We're in the middle of expanding the mod at the moment. I don't think updating to 1.9.4 is a priority.

Always with the wanting to update to newer versions! With each new version comes another thing for the Mojang and Forge team to 'break'. There's a reason why there's a number of mods in 1.7.10.
Thankfully, I've structured MFS to use as few Minecraft code bits as possible. This means that you get FOUR versions to play with: 1.7.10, 1.8.9, 1.9, and 1.9.4.
What's new:
New plane!
Isn't she a beaut? You should all thank DietPepsi1997 for his work on it. I said I'd put contributor's names on planes they create, and I'm a man of my word. You can also thank DP for the new engine and propeller models, both of which are far beyond anything I could create.
New landing gear!
I had a few people ask me about water landings. I'm proud to say that those are possible now by equipping your plane with a set of pontoons.
Pontoons are used in place of wheels in the crafting grid, and allow you to float on water with ease. Just don't go breaking them, or you'll end up sinking faster than a player wearing obsidian armor! You'll have to build the plane on land prior to piloting it into the water, so make sure to have a low, flat, area handy.
Plane customization!
Don't like DietPepsi1997's name on your plane? Just right-click the plane with a nametag to change the lettering. This works for both the PZLP11 and MC-172.
Interaction tweaks
The plane interaction system has been overhauled to allow for less aggravating clicking and better version updating.
Changes to note:
Interaction can now be done on any part of the plane, not just the center. Look at the bounding boxes (Shift+F3) to see all the possible points.
Shift-left clicking still destroys the plane, but now you can click any part.
The GUI is now opened by pressing the P-key while near a plane, rather than shift-right clicking the center.
Plane controls have been moved to only appear when you're riding a plane. This prevents players from fixing their planes mid-air.
New propellers & engines
With the large engines going into the PZLP11, I needed to add some larger propellers. You can now craft multi-bladed propellers and propellers of different diameters using different materials. No customized propeller bench yet; it's harder than you think!

Also, I should let you know that I was making models for a model pack in Flan's Mod, before my guild decided we should update to 1.9+. As such, I have several airplane models that will probably never see the light of day, unless Flan's ever gets updated to 1.9+. They're saved in the Flan's/ Toolbox format, but if you want any/ all of my plane models (including my MC-styled Ford Trimotor), they're yours upon request

In order for me to proceed with this next update, I need some help from you. I'm wanting to add in a block/item that allows players to make a custom label that can be placed on planes. The problem is that I'm not sure how it should be implemented. Do you want to import a set choice of .png image files from a directory? Or do you want to have the ability to use custom pictures? If the latter, then should the custom pictures be created in-game, or be linked to downloaded .png images? I rarely play on servers, so my experience in the best methods for SMP is very limited.
Also, would anyone happen to know of mods that do painting-like stuff? I've found a few by Goggling, but quite a few of them are still in Modloader format. If you've ever deleted a META-INF, I want to hear from you!
Finally, I'm looking for feedback on how well the planes work in survival mode. I suspect that they're a bit too fast for more practical use. I can slow them down, but then you border on [REDACTED] mod physics.
I like the plane speed personally. Any slower would feel really uncanny.

Would it be possible to add a config for the amount of damage the propeller does? Also, would it be possible to make it so that the plane can only be started by hitting the propeller, instead of a key? That entire feature is awesome, I couldn't believe it when I stumbled upon it in testing!

I ask because I'm working on updating my modpack to 1.9 (I haven't asked for permission yet since I'm still planning out what's going to be in it) and would like to force the player to use this method of startup, at least for the wooden planes because I am trying to keep the tech feeling older and less developed.
