Ever wanted to make blocks of something, but found that you couldn't? Enchanted books or potions clogging up your chests? Look no further, as Everything Blocks lets you make blocks out of any item except other blocks (for now). All mods are supported, not just Vanilla stuff. Everything Blocks has WAILA integration, too! Note that the block recipes will not override existing block recipes or recipes where the item is crafted 2x2 or 3x3 to make something by default.
This mod includes a simple API for modders who wish to modify the interaction of their mod's items or even vanilla items with Everything Blocks.
sooo... what about maps? or... tools with not full strip of durability?
BTW - I think it is great, but for me - I wanna see smth like Sort block - a mechanism, which will be connected with hopper and make blocks from everything inside - best feature for automatic fabricks!

It will make a block from any matching items - if you have identical maps or broken tools, it will work perfectly. As for the mechanism, I plan on adding auto-block-crafters in the future.

It's actually quite complex... basically it loads the item's sprite and averages the colors of every pixel together. For things like potions and spawn eggs, it uses the color of the layers from the game data.
So, in theory, would this mean diamond block block block block blocks?
If I let things go unchecked, sure! But the only items that are eligible for blockification at the moment are non-block items. Otherwise, stack overflow errors and crashes would start happening very quickly.

All I can think of is what Thaumic Tinkerer's Ordo Imbued Fire would do to a world with this mod installed Instant Mosaic World.
If anyone doesn't know, it looks for 3x3 recipes to possibly turn things into. The main (read: intended) use is with ores, they have a 1/3 chance to become an ingot block and a 2/3 chance to be destroyed, giving a net gain (usually). I assume that chance applies to all blocks that get burned.

Is there any implementation for right click use of these blocks. Like if you right click use the creeper block, it will spawn creepers?

Version 1.0.0 has been released! Out of beta now! Now to start working to port it to 1.8.9.
The update to 1.8.9 is finally complete! Much more optimized than the 1.7.10 code, too!
The last few updates have added stairs, slabs, and walls too!
I tried using this mod, but none of the crafting recipes would work.
