I made a mod called "ViesCraft" that introduces Airships into Minecraft! This will allow people to just use my Airships separately from Ebon Arts. You can find it on the curse.com site!

Ebon Arts is a mod that brings various new ores to discover and new blocks/models to build with, along with several tools, achievements, records, and equipment to spice up the life of an adventurer. This mod also has various quality of life addons that allows the creation of various vanilla items that you normally cannot craft, all able to be disabled via the configs.
For 1.10.2, 1.10.0, 1.9.4, 1.9.0, 1.8.9, and 1.7.10:

Note for Modpack Creators
Everyone is free to use this mod in any modpack they want. I only ask that you give me credit (Viesis), don't make money off of it (keeping it free), and have a link back to this site (if you can). Otherwise, have fun with it!
That is pretty much what the weapons are, which is why I made it so you can disable them. It understand that it may not be for everyone. In the modpack I play on, I personally enjoyed the Lycanite's Mobs weapons more than the Tinker's ones. I loved getting the fire sword that summoned pets randomly/set things on fire. It was so really exciting finding one randomly in a chest, usually a game changer.
I tried to make the weapons have that same feel. Something simple, not too OP, and unique. I like the idea that each weapon has a % on hit to give a short duration buff to the player, debuff to enemies, set enemies on fire, lifesteal/absorb, etc. I would like to do more with it, but this mod is still new and trying to "find itself."
It is tough to get into the modding scene these days because a lot of the good ideas have been done, and it isn't always possible to do based on skill and what the game can handle. My friend suggested that I should create a huge airship that houses 5 people to just fly around the world in and use as a mobile storage vault while shooting out cloud bridges. This is still Minecraft that we are making a mod for, so there will always be some limitations sadly.
Yeah, making the torches was actually really helpful with understanding object positioning and facing. I started modding with no experience around early December, and I refused to use that MCreator. I knew that path would of been doomed to fail.
Honestly, I was thinking about having some unique blocks to build with, and torches could add something unique. At least with the different animations they can.
Also i noticed at the bottom you said something about learning to do custom modeled blocks. I know how to do them, and I have a tutorial on that. If you want I can help through skype. My skype is the same name as this one.
You sir, are awesome. I will try to catch you this weekend, I have another update waiting to be pushed out, but I am not sure about some of the modeling. I have some modified with json, but I feel it may not be the best "future-proofed" way. I got craft studio, but I have to look into it a lot more. Thanks for the mod review, it looks awesome!
I now have a 1.8, 1.8.8 and a 1.8.9 version of the newest update available. This took a lot of work surprisingly. Enjoy! Let me know what you all think!
A new release is on the horizon. This one is more of a quality of life update, adding features like repairable tools, tweaks to the tools/armor themselves, chest hooks, rarity item name color, tooltip revamps, make most mod blocks interact with torches/ladders/redstone, and the Shimmering Disc will now be a playable record on the jukebox! If I get around to it, I will be adding "fancy" brick for all variations and maybe a type of "road" block.
The new update, v1.3.2b is now live. This has a lot of quality of life changes. For the long list, check out the curse.com site! If there are any issues, please let me know,
The first half of the new site is now live. This lists all detailed information on Blocks and Items found in the mod. I will be working on the Equipment and Configs sections in the next couple of days.
The new site is up and running. Happy hunting! Not time to work on the next update.
Hey, I saw on your site that legendary swords require some sort of item that looks like blaze powder on a sphere, but you don't mention it at all on the site and it's not even on the spawnlist.....help?
Sure thing, to make an ultimate weapon, please visit the site! This is not accurate anymore. Got to love progress. you need to make an Empowered Blade with a fresh Diamond Sword around 4 pieces of Ebonheart, recipe below.
After that, you use the Empowered Blade, one more piece of Ebonheart, and in this case Katcheen, to make a Blazefury.
I will update the website to make it more clear when I can. Let me know if you need anything else!
I just tested all 6 weapons myself and things seemed to be working.
The new update, v1.4.1a is now live! There are a lot of changes and new items, recipes, achievements, and blocks. The main website has been updated as well. If there are any issues, please let me know.
I just uploaded the new updates about 5 minutes ago, so give it a little time before my main forum post reflects the new update info!

And thanks for the compliment with my logo, it took a while to do!
Interesting to see torches at all...
My Mods:
Fool's gold & other dumb things
Placebo Effect
Two others that I am pretending don't exist.
Also, Modding Theory.
Any chances for backport? 1.7.10
Would be nice to backport it.

Also updated the website a bit to say what items go into making the Empowered Blade.
