Dunno, it happened as far as I know after I updated C&B or Forge. I assumed the cause was one or the other. Loaded the SSP world and the textures had broken. They were fine up until one of those actions I believe.
What a disappointment that your mods aren't for version 1.7.10, I could really use them in my project i'm doing.
I know right? The moment I read that it wasn't available nor would he backport it I just completely let go. I got a lot of recommendations to add this, (From the 1.7.10 Modpack Community). Well... guess I'm staying with Forge Microblocks, sigh. Still, when more mods get released for later versions this is definitely on my must have list.

I believe Phylogeny was accurate, the issue itself manifested randomly on restart causing zero or more blocks to return missing models for rendering, I've released 14.4, which I believe should resolve the issue.
Id like to disable all the chisel and bits blocks in davinci's vessels (causes crash). What is the block ID for chiseled items?
I'd recommend submitting a bug report to the mod author to see if they could fix the issue, however the list of ids below I believe account of all of them,
Hello AlgorithmX2! Firstly, I really love the mod you've created! It allows so many possibilities! Especially when playing around with shaders, interesting blocks can be created.
But now here comes a question regarding 1.12 version. When I first downloaded the mod (it was from 9minecraft though), there was a screenshot showing blocks that are not lit, but contained fullbright runes chiseled in it which of course were unaffected by darkness and always kept the same brightness. Was that screenshot a fake/possibly from a different mod? I'm trying to replicate that effect and installed your Flat Colored blocks mod as well. However, once I start adding glowing bits to a block, all the other nonglowly bits in the same block are lit as well. This happens with no matter what settings I use. Am I doing something wrong or have I been simply misslead? I'd love if your glowing blocks/bits could have a fullbright option, if they dont already have one (didnt find).
This is the screenshot I'm talking about

As you can see, the runes glow in the dark, but there is no light around them. When I try to this, it doesnt work, instead the whole area lights up. But when I turn off glow or set it to 0 in the settings, the whole block no longer glows, not even my runes.
Thank you a lot in advance :3
EDIT: Also noticed that chiseled/custom blocks/objects wont block light from light sources unlike vanilla halfstep and stair blocks do. Could this be related?
Ok I found the culprit. Removed Optifine and it was working. But now the question is... why would Optifine disable this effect? That is a shame. Now how to make it work while Optifine is there too , mhhhh. I tried playing around with Optifine, but no matter what I did, the fullbright glow of the bits didnt come back.... guess I have to post this into the bug tracker?

Optifine doesn't support the forge pipeline, which is required to do that effect, I was personally involved in the patches to forge that made it possible in fact. Its been reported to Optifine, however it appears to be an uphill battle.
Was wondering if this could somehow be integrated with armor, so we could have custom built armor, but in the same way that C&B works? I know the simple replace item function works to give players blockheads, but this could be easily integrated with base armor and things of that nature.
I have just added this functionality to the Extra Bit manipulation addon for Chisels & Bits:
In addition to this page, information on Chiseled Armor can be obtained in-game by the following means:
Holding the control key while hovering the cursor over a Chiseled Armor itemstack will display usage information.
JEI will give basic information on how to import copies of blocks in-world into armor pieces.
Pressing the question mark button in the top right of the Chiseled Armor GUI will enter help mode, where all relevant objects will render detailed help text when hovering the cursor over them. (this is a particularly useful and expansive source of information about Chiseled Armor).
Step 1 - Bodypart Template Creation
Click a surface in 'Template Creation' mode to set an area that represents the bodypart associated with the armor piece's selected moving part at the selected scale (right-click to additionally fill the area with bits that will be ignored when importing):
Step 2 - Block Collection
After you have created your model around the in-world bodypart template area, put the armor piece in 'Block Collection' mode. Clicking one block/bit and releasing on another, draws a box around your model and imports copies of all intersecting blocks:
Chiseled Armor GUI
All data of all currently worn armor pieces can be viewed and modified in this GUI. Open the GUI for normally worn armor by pressing G and for armor worn in the vanity slots by pressing SHIFT + G (those are defaults). There, any item can be added/removed and can have any number of GL operations (rotation, translation, scale) applied to it:
Chiseled Armor Vanity Slots
Armor worn in one of the added inventory vanity slots render on the player, but don't take up an armor slot and don't provide additional protection. Click the helmet icon (if displayed) in the survival player inventory or press H (by default) to access these slots:
Here are some examples of the usage of Chiseled Armor:
This is the default model rendered for Chiseled Armor when it has not been set to render any items for any of its moving parts:
Example where chiseled blocks of flowing water/lava are rendered at a very small scale to give the player animated eyes:
Example where a tree and some grass below it are rendered at small scale as a hat:
Example where a tree of gold/diamond in a large wooden box is rendered at 1:2 scale as a hat:
Example of a 1:1 scale brick helmet with gold horns:
Example where a collection of blocks are rendered at 1:2 scale as the player's head:
Example where chiseled wool blocks are rendered at 1:1, such that they effectively re-texture the player:

That looks really nice, pretty soon we're going to be swimming in fantastic armors as well as all this awesome architecture.

Sorry for the delay, Chisels & Bits 1.12 release hot off the presses, hopefully its working well. Cheers for everyone being patient!
The longer one uses a years-out-dated and officially (Forge, in this case) unsupported version of MC, the more of such disappointment one will suffer.
It's true of software, in general, really.
Thanks for the 1.12 release, I have been waiting for this. Works perfectly on my single player world but my forge server seems to crash.
Did you grab the second release? I sent that out just a bit ago, should be fixed now.
Works perfectly now. Thanks a lot
Either 14.3 or the latest universal recommended Forge broke textures in C&B.
It may be a manifestation of this:
Issue #292: Certain bits randomly cause chiseled block textures to break.

So does this mean it's impossible for there to be a 1.7.10 version?
Here's a 2 part answer:
Part 1: Comment #634.
Part 2: Comment #580, the following 5 posts, and the fact that nothing came of it.

I would also recommend staying away from shady places like minecraft9, C&B can be found where I upload it here, https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/chisels-bits/files
Thank you! Perhaps you might want to write it down on your start post /download page on curse that some functions of the mod wont work with optifine?
