Hi there, I'm new to this mod but I build 3D models outside of minecraft. Is there any way we can export C&B models into a file that we can analyse and modify externally and then import back into minecraft?

While Phylogeny is right about the exporting, there is no means to re-import.
I'm willingly to script it back into the game format if only someone points me to a template of what that format should be, or where I could find it or even look for it.
First a minor addendum to my previous statement, since I noticed that Phylogeny and I saw your question as two completely different things now.
I believe Phylogeny thinks you are talking about the models as models, used for blocks / items in mod or resource pack development.
Where as I was thinking you meant re-importing the model into C&B to use as a custom block.
If you only want to use it as a model, like Phylogeny suggests, the json format works fine, and you can make use of that.
If you intend to try and re-import a model into C&B however, that is another matter, since C&B is voxel data. You'd need to make a mod of some effect to create new voxel data in game from your import source. The API supports this. The format used by C&B isn't documented, but the code to handle the format is open source and available on the github.
Soon, Flat Colored Blocks, Ambidextrious are already released for 1.12, and the the port for C&B is already done, but I need to test it before I release it. So sometime this week is quite likely.
Is it possible to chisel the flat coloured blocks to bits aswell? Or can i colour the bits form chisel? For example i like to have white glowstone bits how can i get them?
Chisels and Bits and Flat Colored Blocks work very well together, you should just try to use the chisel with whatever you want, it might work.
Last time I checked it worked with chisel blocks as well, thought it doesn't support the connected textures aspect.
At the moment I don't have any plans for it, generally speaking I will probably not go in that direction, since my focus has mostly to do with the bits and micro manipulation within my own tools and items.

C&B Blueprints which are in the works will have support for larger structures, but this more because C&B creations aren't constrained to live inside a single block, so neither are blueprints, that said I haven't desired on any firm upper bounds for them. And where as progress is slow I've been making soom good progress so I thought I'd post some screen shots here.
I saw this near the end of last year and got really exited because i'd been working with the mod for about a month and was always annoyed by how much time it takes to copy complex symmetrical designs. I love the that blueprints were added but the still have the single block limit (unless i'm missing something), are there still plans to allow a blueprint to hold a structure?

The world is a slew of beings, I am just one of them.
Has the update for 1.12 pass the testing phase yet?
Unfortunately I need to re-visit the changes after the recommended build for forge came out which will take more time, its primarily the reason that there's been no developments on that front, that some some other bugs being reported.
I've updated Flat Colored Blocks over that hurdle already, but C&B is considerably more complicated, but hopefully once I find some time I'll be able to knock out the changes and testing in one go.
Hang in there in the mean time, Its coming just been a bit delayed.
Quite snazzy, always pushing the envelope aren't you? Hehe.
I always have some fun trying to pick out where people have used other decoration mods or C&B, and you really pulled out all the stops on that, having to look really close to see if something is C&B or another mod that adds different furniture or items. Good stuff.
As always its quite impressive to see something that detailed at such a scale.
I'm trying to use C&B on a 1.11.2 but I'm having some problems. Both the client and the server are equipped with forge and the same mods. C&B works during singleplayer as it should with all of its functions. Once I'm on the server that I host, however, the modes on the chisel cannot be changed, single bit is set by default, and when I remove a bit from a block it does not get placed into my inventory. I have tried rolling the mod, client and server back to older versions but the same issue remained. Any ideas what might be causing it? Thank you.
Make sure the config matches as well. If you remove a bit from a block, then logout, and log back in, is the bit still gone? If its not I bet its not loading the mod on the server. It seems odd, but its happened before.
my mc crashes to loading phase, before main menu if i use forge above ver2362 :/ dunno where problem is
what version of your mod is using that spesific forge or below it?
You should use the newest recommend forge, with the latest version of the mod, the initial release for 1.12 were against a alpha version, the latest version was made against the first recommended version. And should work for versions after that. 2362 is an alpha version of forge, 2387 or later should work with eh latest version of FCB, which is what I assume you are using.
Just a question.
Is there currently a way to push chiseled blocks around?
I have tried with pistons but that does not work.
Only if you have a mod that allows moving tile entities around, such as frames, or a piston mod that changes pistons.
Yes, there is. Refer to C&B's FAQ page.
