You should update to 1.8.9, I think that problem is resolved for that version.
Furthermore, you should consider adding to your mod descriptions that your mods don't work well with Optifine. Seeing as the majority of users use Optifine, this is crucial info to save people a lot of headache and heartache. It's the respectful thing to do. Just throwing that out there.
I found an issue I'm having to be rather annoying. When I try to use the Block Mixer, a message comes up about an error. "A problem occurred while constructing NullPointerException: null"
I play in the 1.8 version with MalisisDoors as well (of course I have the core too)
It doesn't crash or anything, but it won't allow me to use the Block Mixer. I've yet to try much else from either MalisisDoors and MalisisBlocks. I can't think of anything else to add about it.

This is what the last few posts have been about, actually. It seems to be a conflict with Optifine. If you use it, try booting without it and you should be able to use the block mixer. After you make some blocks you can always put Optifine back in and still be able to use your blocks. Same goes with the Door Factory from the Doors pack.
so not sure if this is a bug or not, but I noticed when you make mixed blocks, you can't place anything on them at all. I was using them to make a house, as they are great for it. I made a brick exterior, with a white clay interior. But I can't place anything on them like torches. Please fix this, as I love your mods.

It's generally known and expected that Optifine breaks a great deal of things with other mods.

No help without a client log. But if the games says you need to use 1.8.9, it's probably because you downloaded the 1.8.9 version of the mod.

As stated before by monkey132465, I cannot place anything on mixed blocks (torches, levers, buttons, etc.) It would be nice if it did better detection of whether or not the component blocks can have things placed on them. So that if a block is half stone and half glass, you can place a torch on the stone side but not the glass side.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!

It might become possible with 1.9, I'm not sure yet. I'm in the process of updating, but I don't know when it will be done, Forge making it more difficult than it should be.
Malisis Blocks is great, it adds a ton of new features that i can see myself incorporating into one of my survival worlds. One problem though, the block mixer doesn't work properly in my world. I tick the box and it creates two halves of the blocks put together to make one block, but when its untucked the blocks don't seem to work. i tried with an acacia wood plank and a spruce plank, and instead of fusing the textures, all it did was add one acacia side to the spruce, and thats all. I don't know if this is a bug in the mod or just my Minecraft or computer, but to me it doesn't seem like something that should happen. From all the mod showcases that I've seen it has never happened. Please help... I would add in some images to prove it but i don't know how to insert them. Anyway if you know whats going on please leave a reply or something..

If you're using fast graphics in Minecraft options, the Simple rendering will always be used for Mixed Blocks.

Oh, so does this mean my graphics need to be fancy, default or fast for it to work? I haven't tested or seen anything about the graphic speed so I'm honestly not too sure.

Scratch that, I was just looking through the comments and saw one of killerpuppies420's posts, saying that it doesn't work with Optifine. I'll try without Optifine and update you on my progress.

Yep, Optifine doesn't work with Malisis Blocks. The mod works fine now and the blocks get there fused textures. Thanks for the support, and keep up the good work.
I was afraid you were going to say that. Going to 1.8.9 is not an option for me. Our server admin is staying at 1.8 until there's better mod support.
Guess I'll have to find a different mod. Thanks anyways.

Hi,
I edited malisisblocks.cfg on my server & client and changed B:config.enableVanishingGlitch=true to B:config.enableVanishingGlitch=false.
I restarted server & client a few times, but unfortunately this didn't work - the frames are still vibrating from time to time.
Are there any other things I have to do to stop them from vibrating?
Thank you!

Yo when I use the block mixer it looks like half a block right beside another half a block rather than merged see the attachment
That's because your either have the Simple Mixed Blocks rendering enabled, or are using low details in Minecraft options.
