Does this build require chickenbones lib or core? I've been unable to run it without the chickenbones mod and I've been unable to find a chickenbones for 1.8.9. In other words, how are you able to run this in 1.8.9 - what accompanying mod(s) is/are required?

pretty much my issue. It crashed during mod load.
It seems to be talking about chickebones lib.
And it really is unfinished; the levitational locomotive instantly crashes whenever it tries to start moving.
I was thinking more along the lines of none of the Foci have any sort of upgrades whatsoever, not even basic ones. They should at least be able to get Frugal, Potency, etc. Also fixing all of the mistakes that exist in the Thaumonomicon (there are quite a few not-so-minor ones).
If it'll get finished at all, it will probably have to wait untill Nekosune catches up with Thaumcraft 5 on MC 1.8.9.
Zsashas, I have played with TT on 1.7.10 for quite a while, but with the number of mods I am playing with, I never got deep enough into TT to notice that it hadn't added full compatibility with the "TC4 Eldritch update" (or did the focal manipulation get added later than that?). Thanks for pointing that out.
I believe the Manipulator was added around that time, but I'm not sure.
Would it be possible for another add-on to add Manipulator upgrades for TT Foci, or would that be something only TT itself can do?

With 1.9 already available and relatively easy to port once you have a 1.8 working that might be a better way to go, I'm assembling a list of 1.9 mods, especially addons to Thaumcraft, and would like to add this soon.

you dont really need permission to assemble a list of mods, succubism did it a long while back for the 1.6.x versions over on ftb forums, and we have the mc modlist thats been up for a few years, you can search that by thaumcraft addon, as well as the curseforge pages, i honestly dont see to much of a need for it

Ok, so after two days of searching for a feature-complete, non-bugged version of TT and TX I stumble upon this thread...
Nekosune has taken over development of both, but development is proceeding for MC 1.8-, is this correct?
Is the .jar found here the most recent version of TT for 1.7.10: jenkins.nekokittygames.com:8080/view/Thaumic%20Tinkerer/job/Thaumic%20Tinkerer/
Funny how the two mods I really wanted are now being worked on by the same person, do you have a patreon or anything like that Nekosune? Keep up the good work.
Google search doesn't really notice this thread yet, it was only after going to the end of the old TT post that I found this. Could a note be attached to the start of that thread explaining that everything is here now?

I have a patreon but I dont feel comfortable using it yet, as i havent quite done fair by theese mods in past few months, sadly education comes first, I plan to try and be better in the upcoming months, there will be a final 1.7.10 for each that fixes some of the major bugs, but after that edition, moved fully to developing for 1.8.9 onwards

All the buildings are empty, nothing remains, all that can be seen is mass hordes in all directions of zombies, skeletons and other creatures never before seen. Inside isn't safe, Outside isn't safe, what will u do to survive this planet and escape? Can you survive the 1st day without death claiming you?
There is no natural light, when night time comes it's pitch black, no moon light and all that is heard is the scratching and moaning of whats around lurking to destroy you. Mining reveals unbeknownst horrors from the rocks just waiting to come out and devour your soul. Puddles of liquid blue or purple are not water, but also intent on harming you.
Do you have a delivery date on 1.8.9? I'm trying to get a just friends server up and running, but we got really used to the Tome of Knowledge Sharing on our 1.7.10 server.
Are any of the new features from the 1.8.9 releases getting backported to the 1.7.10 version or is support for the 1.7.10 version finished?
Can you add runic shielding to the KAMI armor? Do transvector interfaces work with bellows? Could I link multiple bellows to a single vanilla furnace using them?
You can give the reference to additional mod (I won't understand that it demands)

so is jenkins commonly down, or is there something i need to do to get it to load?
