Hey man could you add a config option to make this mod only work after you have done crafted the item the normal way at least once so its not so OP ? This would be a awesome config option !!
Op? It only gives you the ability to not use a crafting table and instead use your hand. It only "saves" you 4 planks. Sorry, but it's rather difficult to create something like a progression system and i don't see the point in it.
Here is something I have noticed while using this mod... When it comes to complex recipes, the way to craft from raw materials just doesn't work, especially if one has many mods... It causes the algorhithm to take the jankiest and silliest routes... Like I tried crafting the Weapons Crafter from LambdaCraft and it managed to do it, but had many issues, such as requiring planks instead of logs, it doesn't know how to craft redstone blocks, when i managed to actually get it to start the crafting, it took the longest way possible through ExtraUtilities tiny chests and big chests, and for some reason it crafted sticks which are not used in the recipe at all and sometimes, even if i have the exact amount of materials, it just doesnt want to register the recipe! You should first fix these weird issues before going to update it for 1.9, just so you have less to worry about.

Yeah, this mod is really buggy and damn slow. It was some kind of experiment and a failure. Those algorithms are not that easy, but if i will port to 1.9 i will rework it completely.
In theory it should calculate all possible ways to craft it and then pick the easiest/least recourse intensive one, but there are a lot of other issues. It takes care of ore dictionary and metadata, but it's just really buggy :D. The main problem of this mod was the performance. Especially if you have a lot of mods installed which would add thousands recipes. For example IC2 which adds a recipe for every painter (or something like that) color combination, which slows the calculation down dramatically. This mod was just unusable if you have used it in a huge modpack, because it quickly contained about 30000 recipes.
I have some plans to improve it, also thought about remapping everything in lists, but i'm not sure if it's too RAM intensive. Like i said once i will update to 1.9, i will rewrite it completely
2-The gui should include another tab "available craft" section, it just show what the possible craft with the current item in inventory.... So, it wouldn't need to calculate every item in minecraft....

1- Search function*
