That's a really cool idea, actually! I'll see how implementation goes.
And about a 1.7.10 version - 1.7.10 is really just finished its time, I really don't think it's worth any of our times. Not mentioning Forge for Minecraft 1.9 is out...
Glad ya like it
I agree that 1.9 is an easy port from 1.8, and I sorta would like to see modding moving to the later era, but it's not. Some modders are, but still vastly more than half of the mods for minecraft 1.7.10 have no 1.8 versions at all, let alone 1.9.
I don't love 1.8, but I don't hate it, and I'd be happy to see even a fifth of the mods I really like move on there, but it's more like a tenth right now. Maybe a twelfth. Which is really not enough for me to move on.
I have just started work on a 1.8 fork of my mod, but for now I'm still pretty fond of 1.7, and won't be leaving just yet. Especially because Et Futrum exists.

Also worth to note, as I understood the port from 1.8 to 1.9 is not that complex.
I've been enjoying this useless mod quite a bit in recent days on Minecraft 1.8.9. However, I find it disagrees with Biomes O' Plenty (which I also enjoy) to the point where a modpack with both mods in will not load for me at all. I have the most recent version of both Biomes and Jon's Useless Mod. Any suggestions for how to get them to work together?

I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is. I'm currently working on the 1.9.4/1.10.2 update, and I noticed now there's a problem with the Useless Biome ID registration.
My question is, do you think it's worth it to patch the 1.8.9 version? Do people still use it? If so, I'd love to see a crash report, if you can post it using http://pastebin.com. Thanks.

This is a pretty cool mod, but I have a question: What are the stats for the Useless Bow and Useless Arrow?
That is, how much stronger is the Useless Bow than the vanilla bow? Also, what’s the difference between using a regular arrow and a Useless Arrow? Does the Useless Arrow deal more damage? Also, does the Useless Arrow only work for the Useless Bow?
The useless arrow indeed works only with the useless bow, and yet I'm not sure what are the differences in damage, although you've got to admit the useless bow looks so much more useless.

My Mods:
Fool's gold & other dumb things
Placebo Effect
Two others that I am pretending don't exist.
Also, Modding Theory.

... It even has a useless config screen.
This mod... it speaks to me on a deep, useless level.
dantdm made a review on it too
that means ur comment is useless
Any of you people want an 1.9.4/1.10.2 update?
Not everybody at once!
I would go for it, but that would be pretty useless...

Fixed in v1.1.1, for Minecraft 1.8.9 or 1.9.4/1.10.2!
So, how buggy is the 1.10.2 version? Give me your feedback!
Updated to v1.1.2!
Changelog/Download for 1.10.2/1.9.4
Changelog/Download for 1.8.9
I'd look for bugs, but that would be useless.
That's correct, as the latest version should be really stable.
I'd love more feedback, and crazy useless ideas!
I'm thinking, but I know all of my efforts will be useless...
That's so unfortunate.
Just install the latest version for 1.10.2
