Minecraft Beta Custom Updates:
I have not been satisfied with Minecraft ever since hunger was introduced and have started releasing custom updates for what I believe Minecraft should have been.
Re-live the dream like its 2011!
Images:
The all new Spring Block (Jump Block) that launches you into the air when you walk on it. (Also launches mobs so its good for traps )
New Custom Launcher with OTA Updates:
New brick variants (Good for prison places)
Bright Grass, so you can make that soccer field you always dreamed of:
Working Minecart Boosters:
More gold and iron block styles to chose from! (Place 1 type in crafting to get the other type!)
Here is the Inventory Editor (InvEdit) Updated to support Beta 1.7.4:
Crafting Recipes:
Craft Gears:
Craft Jump Block:
Craft Jump Block 2:
Craft redstone block like any other ore block:
You can un-craft the redstone block by putting in in the crafting grid alone (Just like any other ore block)
Craft Polished Bricks:
You can un-craft them in the same way they were made (put 1 polished brick in the grid)
New mechanics, stone bricks break into cracked stone bricks on break and you have to smelt to get them back (How smooth stone and cobble stone work)
Craft Stone bricks like in regular minecraft: (Make sure to also try it with cobblestone and stone/cracked bricks!)
This mod uses Mod Loader in order to be backwards compatible with Beta 1.7.3 mods. This means you can install beta 1.7.3 mods on beta 1.7.4. However if you install a mod that changes the HUD GUI display the mod will auto revert to saying its Beta 1.7.3 for compatibility reasons. So don't worry if installing Zombe's modpack suddenly made it appear like beta 1.7.3, you are on beta 1.7.4! This mod uses low value block IDs, starting from ID: 97 so most mods made in 2011 should work since they used high block IDs in order to be compatible with future Mojang releases. And yes this does work with TooManyItems (so don't ask again).
Multiplayer:
The 1.7.4 client is backwards compatible with 1.7.3 servers! A 1.7.4 server does not exist yet that's why I am looking for server developers in order to make this a bukkit plugin!
Inventory Editor Info:
The Inventory Editor is included because the main problem with old Minecraft version is the lack of tools. That is why InvEdit is included and updated to support Minecraft Beta 1.7.4's Blocks and Items. The revisions of the Inventory Editor reflect the revisions of the mod, so R3 works with Revision 3 of the mod. If sometimes a new version of Inventory Editor is released before the mod it might include upcoming blocks/items. Please don't try using these before you update your client!
InvEdit used to be maintained by copyboy and was written C#.
Manually Updating to a newer revision Instructions:
If you have played Beta 1.7.4 Revision 1 then you can update it by simply downloading Beta 1.7.4 Revision 2 and installing it over your old install and the updater will take care of the rest.
You do not need to download Mod Loader again to update your client. You only need to download Mod Loader to install it for the first time on a vanilla b1.7.3 jar.
Multiplayer Server Mod is being worked on. (Hopefully bukkit compatible!)
Currently the mod works with Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 servers

Ummm...Tommy everybody is in 1.7.10 Forge at least. That being said it isn't too hard to port if you do things right. You'll need to read up on Subscribe Events if you want to jump really high though.
A very clever 2 way booster system built using the mod: (For single track dual direction minecart systems)
Carts coming both ways will get push boosted with the carts on the side rails and re-join with the main tracks down the line. (It is missing 1 minecart on the top track (closest to the ocean) at top left for testing purposes)
Woah, good ol' ModLoader. This is certainly a nice mod, but I don't see myself using it. :/
Thanks, it uses ModLoader so it can be compatible with other mods people make. Minecart boosters aren't done with ModLoader, so this probably does not work with anything that changes minecart physics
And its out! Revision 2 is here! The mod also changed name because Minecraft beta 1.7.3 updates mod was not very catchy and could create confusion between Mojang's 1.7.3 update and the mod updates. From now on its the Minecraft Beta 1.7.4 mod and the mod's versions are called Revisions to reduce confusion. As of now we are on revision 2.
Revision 2 Changelog:
+Polished Bricks (For all you classic lovers out there)
*Power rails are slightly more effective!
*The good old "Minecraft Beta 1.7.3" version is shown on top left like in other beta versions (I really don't get why they removed this?)
*Press F3 to see the update revision you are on. (Top line marked after "Rev.")
I came back to MC after years knowing that I would most definitely not be playing the newer releases. I found Better than Wolves and it it what minecraft should have been, but it still wasn't that simple, humble old minecraft that I so craved. I will remember you, for when I return to beta =) (so damn happy you put the minecart boosters back in x) )
Minecraft Beta 1.7.4 Revision 3 has been released!
With a new type of grass (the classic one)
Also together with Revision 3 you get an Inventory Editor so you can cheat items in the game without having to hunt around the internet for a beta InvEdit...
Scroll up to the Original Post to download these and have fun cheating
Dude, this would be genius, if it wasn't for the fact that...
Nobody plays 1.7.3. Still, i LOVE this version, and if i still used it i would use this mod, and i appreciate someone would make a mod, in 2015, dedicated to my favorite version of Minecraft. (Rant-ish thing incoming) I just think the game has gone downhill too much since beta 1.7. It's become more of an RPG, too... Diluted, for it's simple outset. This was meant to be a game about building whatever. Now it's a game focused MUCH more heavily of survival and killing, mining, and exploring. Yes, if you wanted to do that in 1.7, you could, but it was still much simpler in just that set than what it is today. I dont know why they added all that stuff, honestly, just a creative mode would have been fine, and all the content from today BESIDE the new combat (Crits and whatnot, not the 1.9 update), experience, hunger, and other stuff. I still love 1.7.3 and wish it was still a largely supported minecraft version, like, a version called Minecraft Classic- And i dont mean the CLASSIC versions from 2009/2010. I mean basically, a revamped version with 1.7.3 with some of the new stuff, like blocks from beta 1.8 until now, no strongholds, no XP, hunger, Imagine it. Bring back minecraft 1.7.3, but better. That's be a great idea.
tl;dr Everything newer than Beta 1.7 sucks and doesn't suck.
Sorry 'bout that rant. I just... miss the golden days of Minecraft, Y'know? Mods., please don't warn me for going off track ;_; My nostalgia is to blame. But seriously, please don't. all that was technically related to this mod, so... Yeah.

awesome
a 1.7.3 mod in 2015?
Er. Wow. um...okay.
Just breakdancing along...
Okay sure im a brony but DO YOU THINK I FLIPPIN CARE?! AM I PROUD OF IT?...Okay maybe but...DEAL WITH IT DANGIT!
The point of the mod is it to be a beta mod for 1.7.3.
For players that prefer the old style minecraft but don't like the lack of boosters and updates
Been building a very long rollercoaster thanks to the boosters
A very clever 2 way booster system built using the mod: (For single track dual direction minecart systems)
Carts coming both ways will get push boosted with the carts on the side rails and re-join with the main tracks down the line. (It is missing 1 minecart on the top track (closest to the ocean) at top left for testing purposes)
Fixed a small bug with power rails not being as effective
Next version is going to have another Jump block and some more items
Woah, good ol' ModLoader. This is certainly a nice mod, but I don't see myself using it. :/
I love the concept- very interesting mod. Keep up the good work, man!

I used to have toes
The boosters are my favorite part, its like the only only thing that was missing from 1.7.3 to make it perfect

For revision 3 the plans are to add Classic Grass (The bright green one) and classic ore blocks. (The ones with side textures)
Making progress with Revision 3, the classic grass has been added but I haven't decided yet on the recipe
Minecraft Beta 1.7.4 Revision 3 has been released!
