Looking at the code, it looks like it should appear when the cocoa beans are genned *or* when there's a block update involving a HL cocoa bean. If there's no HL cocoa beans in the world obviously it should be fine. If there *are* beans around I think you'd get messages when things happen to them but that's probably just a couple when the tree gets chopped, which might be tolerable. There might be a problem if somebody puts a redstone circuit next to a placed HL cocoa bean.
We should be able to put in a config option to swap the HL palms with our palms, or to convert the HL palm logs to jungle wood and just use the vanilla cocoa beans.
This would be excellent. I've looked for a solution to the cocoa bean thing for a long time, and it's the only thing that keeps me from using Highlands, which is otherwise my favorite biome mod. The console really gets spammed, and it doesn't seem to stop - I think the messages appear when they're trying to grow, or something.
Yep, using CC. Everything is through that, biome wise.
With CCbeta52 BOP Coral Reefs and Kelp Forests are spawning fine again.
However, extreme lag on every world I open makes them all unplayable.
This isn't an RTG problem per se - I don't have significant lag, even on a 4 year old laptop. I get the "generation pauses", but lag is pretty ordinary. Might be an interaction problem, but it's not RTG by itself.

Geographicraft (formerly Climate Control) - Control climate, ocean, and land sizes; stop chunk walls; put modded biomes into Default worlds, and more!
RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.
Better Forests Varied and beautiful trees and forests, in modern Minecraft.
Anyone else think the BoP Crag needs improvement? personally I think it would look better if it was one solid mountain with sheer faces and less gradual climb. Similar to the Mesa Plateau's but with a discernible peak still.
So.... I'm trying to run RTG on a 1.9 server hosted by MC Pro hosting, and it's not working out all too much.

v0.0.5 isn't compatible with Forge 1865 at the moment, but if you can wait a couple more days, we'll be releasing a new 1.9 version that will be.
Errr Mr Pink... I've been running RTG 0.0.5 with Forge 1865 since that version released Should I not be???
Errr Mr Pink... I've been running RTG 0.0.5 with Forge 1865 since that version released Should I not be???
RTG-1.9-0.0.5 was built against Forge 1830 and a lot has changed changed since, including breaking changes. There should be 0 expectations that it will work correctly, if at all, with Forge 1865. Furthermore, RTG-1.9 is alpha, so, unless you are only looking to do testing, (which is kind of irrelevant considering the changes we've made that aren't released yet,) then you shouldn't really be running RTG-1.9 for a world that you care about.
If you still don't mind using an alpha of RTG-1.9.. as Pink said, wait a few days and we'll have a new release out that was built with Forge 1865.

Oops Teach me not to pay attention. I do completely understand that RTG for 1.9 is in it's infancy, the same as Minecraft 1.9 itself really it's certainly not ready for the spotlight yet, so I have no intentions of playing for real any time soon, just messing around worlds at most, but mainly mod testing, tweaking, testing, tweaking... just getting things working

I also really like the current Crag, for the reasons Pink listed. I might wish that the plateaus were a few blocks farther apart to make for more interesting bridges. But I really enjoy the buildable high broken plateau thing.

I was actually thinking about pushing the plateaus further apart, although for different reasons - I wanted players to be able to walk through the bases, and I wanted it to look a little more broken up, per the reference to Temple Crag Pink pointed me to as the first of the many requests I've gotten. I'll give that a shot before the release candidate.

Sorry, there is no 1.8 version of RTG - only versions for 1.7.10, 1.8.9, and 1.9
No problem. As it turns out, 1.8 MC was incredibly laggy (yet 1.9.2 doesn't lag at all on 32 Chunks...), so I'm going back to 1.7.10. I plan to download this mod.
Great mod! I was wondering if villages and such could spawn in. Do they? Also, is there a seed bank for cool RTG seeds?
Crash with the mod Plant Mega Pack
1.9 - RTG-1.9-0.0.5
1.9 - plantmegapack-1.9.8
1.9 - Forga - "1.9-forge1.9-12.16.0.1865-1.9

Will the last version be backward compatible?

It is that I 'm not playing at the moment, but I still want to be within the mod news.

Could you make the mesa look like the one below?
And the crag like the one below?
I will say that so far I've gotten 5 requests for the Crag - and they've all been completely different.
Seems to me like the best option is to put it to a vote
