What do you mean the oaks are unrealistic? Please describe your issue with them.
Oak trees in real life (aka. realistically) look like broccoli to some extent, its just a trunk, and then a somewhat round bush of branches and leaves.
In RTG so far, oak trees have spawned with an oddly large base of the trunk. and then grows really tall and thin, somewhat representing a badly made christmas tree..

... did I really ask that?

I have been going through this for hours it seems so complicated lol and not to mention the fact im still trying to figure out how to even get BOP biomes to spawn in RTG, i really want to use RTG but so much configuration for this or that /sigh lol
I recently picked up the game again and started putting mods on a 1.10.2 build. The main issue is that I've been trying to get Climate Control to stop activating in the Betweenlands, which puts me at bedrock layer with 60-some blocks of water above me. It seems that the biomes of the Overworld are copied and generate 1:1 in the Betweenlands, but almost no terrain spawns. What little does spawn is small, strange, and usually submerged.
It's definitely Climate Control, as it causes this issue even without RTG, and when CC is removed, the problem goes away. I looked through the settings for all three mods, but the only useful-looking setting I could find was the dimension exclusion list for CC, which still didn't work. The Nether and Aether (from the titular mod) still generate fine, though.
I'll bring this around the other involved mod threads, but if anyone here knows what could be causing it or how to fix it, I'd appreciate it.
*I've since replaced CC with BiomeTweaker and used the suggested tweaks and it solved the problem.
In order to generate BOP biomes in RTG worlds, you will need to also install either GeographiCraft or BiomeTweaker.
GC requires no additional config to generate BOP biomes, just drop it in your mods folder along with RTG and you're good to go. If you choose to install BT instead, you can use these example tweaks for 1.7.10 or these example tweaks for 1.10.2 to get you up and running quickly.
.
Ahh yea i had biome tweaker in the pack, I could not get the other one to work though it would stick on the loading screen everytime, this was with the lastest 1.10.2 version of the Geographicraft.

On those example files which folder do they actually go in? I think i actually got it but everytime i start world it will generate some chunks then it just stops generating chunks completely.
The example tweaks should go in your /config/BiomeTweaker/ folder.
If you're still having problems, zip up your config & mods folders and PM me a Dropbox link and I'll take a look.

Ive pretty much got it, still having problems with the chunks loading though takes forever for some reason also I have tropical islands spawning on the mainland rather then spawning as islands. And still trying to work out the BOP config but thats not you guys problem. I think most of the stuff from BOP is useless except the looks of the biomes themselves.

Ok so i am having problem with island biomes spawning on mainland, would i just change the variables and add the island variable to the ocean and deepocean in Biome tweaker and then blacklist the island biomes variables for the mainland?
Hi there, I'm having this issue where sometimes when I create a world using RTG world gen it will put me up in the sky where this floating trees are. It is not every time though only sometimes. What maybe causing this?
If you need anything just let me know, I'll try and provide it.

Complex stuff with Biome Tweaker should be addressed in the Biome Tweaker thread. We provide basic setups to use BT for non-vanilla biomes, but we aren't BT experts.

I'm on 1.7.10 btw. Thank you.
Are you using Climate Control? If not, then it's a limitation of the vanilla spawner and not easily fixed in RTG. Are you spawning on log blocks or leaves?

Yes I'm using Climate Control because I use BoP and the instruction on the front page tell me to install either climatr control or biome tweaker for it.
I think I spawned on log blocks because I have mod that makes the leaves non solid block, so I think I will fall when I stand there. The fps hit when I'm near the forest is very bad though, I got like 5 - 9 from my usual 70 - 100 fps and the other weird thing is there is this hole which I think connects to the mountain below it and it is made of Minefactory rubber tree logs.
Is there anything to workaround this? Because it is really weird actually seeing trees floating. You need any config files perhaps to help identifying?
The reason I was asking about Climate Control is that Climate Control has a spawn rescue procedure and I can modify it to not spawn on leaves. I'm pretty sure I just copied that choice from vanilla so dropping CC won't fundamentally solve the problem of spawning on the leaves. The absurd trees are from some mod; I don't know which and there's not much RTG or CC could do about them.

If you install Climate Control, won't it basically track what biomes are where at the edges, so that you won't get those ...
Right, there will be a chunk line where it has the same biomes, but vanilla gen on one side, and RTG gen on the other side. Never mind.
EDIT: Or, can it be forced out to an ocean -- so that the chunkgen change happens under water?

None of that is relevant as MRDNRA is talking about uploading a pre-generated world to a Realms server.

I think the trunks are there, I forgot though might have to check.
Edit: They do have trunks, only small sizes around 1 block tall.
I'm surprised if optifine have their hands there, I do have optifine though.
Oh well I guess I'll just clean it manually then. Thank you for your response.
