Plants added:
- Diamond Plant (Grows Diamonds)
Seeds grow on coal blocks and lava must be somewhere around the 8 adjacent spots of each coal block. The lava must also be open to air (the block above it must be empty). Grows around the same rate as wheat. Drops 1 Diamond and 1 Diamond seed with a 10% chance of dropping another seed (can be changed in config).
Warning: Working with lava is dangerous. Make sure to keep all flammables stored safely. Note: Coal blocks are flammable.
- Emerald Plant (Grows Emeralds)
Seeds grow on Nertherrack blocks and lava must be somewhere around the 8 adjacent spots of each Netherrack. The lava must also be open to air (the block above it must be empty). Grows around the same rate as wheat. Drops 1 Emerald and 1 Emerald seed with a 15% chance of dropping another seed (can be changed in the config menu).
Warning: Working with lava is dangerous. Make sure to keep all flammables stored safely.
- Iron Plant (Grows Iron)

Grows around the same rate as wheat. Drops 1 Iron and 1 Iron seed with a 50% chance of dropping another seed (can be changed in the config menu).
Warning: Working with lava is dangerous. Make sure to keep all flammables stored safely.
- Gold Plant (Grows Gold)

Grows around the same rate as wheat. Drops 1 Gold Ingot and 1 Gold seed with a 40% chance of dropping another seed and a Gold Nugget (can be changed in the config menu).
Warning: Working with lava is dangerous. Make sure to keep all flammables stored safely.
Special:
So maybe plants that grow high value materials isn't for you. Well here's a sneak peak of another mod I am working on that adds more food into the game.
Strawberry Crop:
Drops 4 Strawberries. Food values balance based on apple and watermelon. Gives 1 heart (of health) and 0.3F saturation. Gives a little and need to use 1 for 1 seed (grows 4 Strawberries). To give them a little more worth, their is approximately ~25% chance that they will give you a speed boost for 5 seconds.
By far, my most favorite texture I made.
Seeds and how to get them:
Diamond Seeds
Made by surrounding a Nether Star with 8 Diamond blocks. Expensive, but well worth it.
Emerald Seeds
Made by surrounding a Nether Star with 8 Emerald blocks. Sure to crash a village economy.
Iron Seeds
Made by surrounding a Nether Star with 8 Iron blocks. Never mine for Iron again!
Gold Seeds
Made by surrounding a Nether Star with 8 Blocks of Gold. I can' believe it's not budder!
Special:
Strawberry Seed
A Strawberry seed is crafted from a Strawberry (shapeless). Strawberries themselves can be found by breaking grass.

Mod Packs:
None. Be the first!
Known Bugs:
None thus far. I am very paranoid that a mod I release will not work (even if I just change a texture), so I test very heavily. But who knows, I am only human (for now).
Good mod, maybe common idea, one question though: what can you do with crops?
1. Good idea
Why thank you
2. maybe Common Idea.
Well really any mod that adds items, crops, mobs, blocks, etc is a common idea (some are just cooler than others). I like this mod, but the mod itself wasn't really the point, it is the process. Creating this the "conventional" way would have been time consuming (more than it was already). I used a (not required) mod ZCore I created to make this mod. Saving lots of time and paving the way for adding items.
3. What can you do with crops?
Uh, If I understand correctly, each crop grows the item in its name. DiamondCrop grows diamonds, etc. I will change the name and make it more clear what each plant does.

I mean that nothing in the thread says anything about what crops do and why would you make them... Do they drop something? Do they explode with a tonn of shards? Do they spawn enderman that drops drop blocks?...
These crops, how much do they drop? How many resources and how many seeds per crop?
EDIT: Oh and I would like to make a mod spotlight for this.
Currently they all grow and drop like wheat (may change later). Added to the post, thank you. Of course you can do a spot light. I will be sure to post it up.

I know that it drops materials that it is... It's just not written anywhere in op. Make thrid section called "Drops" Where you describe what they drop and how.
I meant that when somebody random openes this page, he will not understand why he would need it, because nothing is telling him what it is usefull for.
You, like any other programmer who writes his software, know exactly what it can be used for...
You most importantly need to specify why this is usefull... To everybody, in op... Not just to me... Far not everybody can understand source code...

Is it not clear still? Ok I will create a drops section.

Add a config option for whether you can bonemeal the crops
Change the color of the dimond crops, it hurts my eyes it's so bright.
Thanks so much. Can you change the link to my adfly? Its at the top of the forum now. Nice of you to do your research and I will add bonemeal as a config. Sorry I changed the textures >.< The others may change later... either more distinct or a theme.
Edit:
I may go for an even more elaborate crop model. Since I know how to do so.
Has anyone noticed that coding is like an RPG. You start as a low level and you are not sure where everything is or how to do things, but as time passes you gain experience and it almost becomes second nature.
I say this because I have discovered Minecraft and FML events. So awesome.

Been looking for a good 1.8 mod for alternative ways for getting ores and yours fits well with my modpack. It's got good balance too. I like the fact you can config players to only grow in the nether.

I do not understand. o.O I am not using MCreator... I'm not going to post much more about ZCore here because that would be breaking the fourth wall.
Edit: Oh yeah MCreator. Tried it before but meh. ZCore is more you use it in Eclipse (rt whatever IDE you use) and then you build it. Good to know.
Edit:

Sorry about that, hope it is more clear now.
