Ugh. The only problems with this mod is that the 1.8 version crashes ( It's a known bug so don't mention it ) and it isn't for 1.7.10.
Maybe we should wait for DRPG and AoA to update to 1.8
Also the new update is hype-worthy

A bit of an update, however. It seems as if Essence (soon to be called Journey into the Light) is trying to be too much like larger mods, such as AoA. XolovA and I haven't gotten along very well, and Essence isn't necessarily his favorite mod. Due to the many advances upcoming in Essence, such as Knowledge, I have decided to distance the mod out a bit and give a more unique approach. Knowledge was a unique concept, but it will be removed. That, along with the power bar, which served no purpose and was going to be used in 1.2.0 - would just be another thing filling up the screen. Don't worry though, magic isn't going to be completely abolished. Power and Dark energy still exists, however I might limit it to a single bar. What will be abolished, however, is the "Plasma" blasters, currently added in 1.0.0. I removed those a while ago, but I figured I'd make that announcement, because they're clearly just a copy of the weapons from AoA. Cheers!

Possibly, but not sure. Hopefully, though. Due to many things being removed and also added, I have no idea when the mod update might suffice.

For some reason it seems like it is less distant from AoA. Plasmas need to be unique in some ways and Knowledge deals with Dimension knowledge. For example Corba. You put that image on Twitter right? And also removing a unique concept may be a bad choice since Knowledge is very different from AoA. I don't see the point either. Just because you don't like someone doesn't mean their projects can be apart. And plus that would ruin this mod for me. I only play with mods that are slightly more balanced and have more content. You know some companies hate each other and still they copy each other. You know what is competition? Also it already is similar to AoA in many ways. Removing anything that is not distant from AoA would be very very bad.
It's not that I don't like XolovA, It's that XolovA isn't very fond of me or the mod.

I really wanted the projectile launchers and the knowledge though.
You can add projectile launchers and knowledge when you become a mod developer until then let Dizzlepop make decisions for HIS mod.

No, it's fine. I may add Knowledge and / or Projectile launchers in a future update. They're ideas I don't want to fully remove for now.

Is there a chance that the most recent update doesn't crash? Also its sad to see the GUI be gone. I really liked it. I'm guessing power might be used for something really unique or cool. Too bad its only coming at 1.2.0 Also Journey to the Light makes more sense than Essence of the Gods. Projectile Launchers should actually be added because a ranged weapons unlike piercers would be really cool. Its like how AoA has little consumed ranged weapons and lots of projectile launchers while this mod is the opposite (though i cant say there is not much Projectile Launchers). I'm too unpatient now. Please forgive me but I want the update!

I'm sure the most recent update doesn't crash, however the GUI was ugly Yeah, some people liked it. Most didn't though, including me. It just seemed... unnecessary. Just a giant block on the screen that was just a complete copy of the standard MC UI. There might be some return of it in some shape or form, but it would probably take up less of the screen and be very simple. One reason why I removed knowledge was due to the placement on screen. Alone, most players might use a minimap mod, possibly mods like DRPG or AoA (when they update) that have things on-screen, and knowledge would possibly cover up / be covered up by something from these mods, as well as other mods that add GUI on-screen.
