Just gave the latest version a try. Working great!
One thing I did notice is that the charcoal-based torch recipe is still there. Not sure if that's something you can remove, or if some other mod is adding it back. I can Minetweak it away, but thought you should know.

Thanks for the mod! This is going to be useful.
When I check with NEI the recipe still exists, but it is being overwritten by the unlit torch recipe, so if you actually put that recipe into a crafting grid it returns unlit torches, not vanilla torches. I'll see if I can get it removed anyway, to avoid confusion with NEI.

Out of curiosity, why bother with the 'Glowstone Crystal', which takes 4 Glowstone, which just happens to be the same amount a regular Glowstone block takes? Why not just make it be a block of Glowstone on a stick and cut out the middleman? If you're set on using char/coal, why not a stick, glowstone and char/coal?

The idea was to make it as expensive or a bit more expensive than regular glowstone so that it is sort of like a luxury light source. Something you'd use when torches look better in your build than glowstone does, or when a recipe requires a torch (i.e. AM2's Inscription Table, Extra Utilities' Chandelier, etc). A glowstone block on a stick would have worked fine, and that was the original idea, but an item that resembles coal looks a bit more "right."

Why your torches don't burn woods and wools? Not so realistic.
Also, how to use moving light source? And there's no pic of it. :/
I received that suggestion a while ago and was planning on implementing it soon. As for the moving light source, enable it in the config and then you should see light around you when you hold torches, glowstone, etc.

I use minetweaker to change recipes. When I used to torches from Enviromine everything was fine. I changed recipes.
But now I can't! A code is the same. I just changed Enviromine torch id to your id. No minetweaker errors. It looks like your mod does not support minetweaker :/

I'm not sure what you mean. I'm aware of one or two modpacks using Minetweaker to edit recipes from Realistic Torches, so I don't think the mod does "not support" Minetweaker. What is the desired effect of the recipes, and what is happening instead?

Yes, I understand that. I tested your tweaks myself and received a few errors (mainly regarding GregTech) but the tweaked Realistic Torches recipes seem to be working. What exactly is not working for you?
EDIT: Also keep in mind that the lit torch (the one that gets placed when you light a torch with flint and steel) is RealisticTorches:TorchLit - not sure if you meant to use that in any of the recipes.
Hey Chaos, not sure if this would work for you, but I kinda had a thought. Another early game (pre nether) light source that isn't permanent, but lasts up to 3 or 4 times as long as a regular (your mod) torch. Say for example, a Lit Torch is good for 1 minecraft day, the lantern (will think of crafting recipe in a sec) will last up to 4 days before it needs re-fueling.
The lantern would be crafted with 2 iron, 2 glass, 3 stone slabs, and 1 tripwire hook:
It would be able to hold up to four pieces of coal/charcoal, and be right clicked with a flint and steal (or a few times with a match blox) to get a "Lit Lantern" which could be maybe picked up (alternatively, you can right click the lantern and open up a gui maybe, and fill it with coal/charcoal?).
No errors in the minetweaker log. I really have no idea what's wrong. Maybe I'm just a fool. It worked with Enviromine, I swear.
Okay, so I see what it is doing, but can you tell me what you want it to be doing? Is the issue that your new recipes for the unit torch produce a vanilla torch instead?

Lemme know what you think of the idea :3
Not a bad idea, I will definitely consider it for a future release. Thanks for the suggestion!

One other thing Chaos, what is the ID of the matchbox and the unlit torches? I want to add them to the chest loot for the Wastelands Mod (a bit of a perfect combo if you ask me :3) I want to have my starting chest have a mostly used box of matches and a few torches, as well as the chance to find some more matches in the odd chest that I can find in an abandoned building or village, as well as an ungodly amount of unlit torches XD

In 1.7+, the ID's of blocks and items are determined by Forge during initialization. Generally you will use the unlocalized names - which in this case are RealisticTorches:Matchbox and RealisticTorches:TorchUnlit.

Hi, I like this mod. Since I updated to 1.7.10, I have been waiting for a long time for someone who can develop the "unlit torch".
I know Enviromine has the feature, but it replaces the vanilla torch. What I want are "Cheap Torch" and "Expensive Torch".
So you just did a great mod for me, Hoo!
Could you make a config that remove torch when they burn out? Make unlit torches are unreusable.
I want to make caves more harder to stay. ^^
