Well, yeah. In the Q&A, they said "no stuff like elemental dragons, because they're overused concepts that would better fit other creatures, and Fire, Ice, and Lightning doesn't have that ring to it".

That mod is an ancient attempt at adding Skyrim-inspired dragons to Minecraft, but the attack pattern shown is the relevant bit. Dragons have, for the most part, possessed at least a base cunning if not sapience. They're smart, and should preform strafing runs as often as they think is manageable, and spend a great deal of time in the air. They should only close the distance and land to either preform a sky drop, or to consume their kill. This may not be possible in the dragon's lair due to space constraints, and would make locating the lair a crucial advantage to actually engaging the monster. The video gives a general idea, but Alex can likely do a much better job.

Additionally, I've read the Ice dragon can swim. In the mess of spaghetti that is my brain, I immediately thought of Black Dragons from D&D, which would often lie in wait inside bogs and pools of water like a crocodile to ambush their prey. I'd love to see you take advantage of the Ice Dragon's ability. My thought is that it would lie in wait in deep pools of water in its range, and then open combat with a breath weapon before taking to the air. Could also attempt to kill the opponent in one go with a particularly nasty bite, and then lift off if that fails.

Following from the above, tunnels filled with water in the ice dragon's lair would be neat. They could surround the center of the lair, and be interconnected. This would allow the dragon to easily re-position itself during a fight in its own lair, or perhaps be used as an escape route? If it escaped, it'd naturally come after you for revenge. That's a dragony thing to do.

Sorry for the essay. Hopefully it was helpful/inspiring/not awful

Ah yes I did remember reading that somewhere and scanned the entire comments section for it, to no avail. Didn't think to look at the Q&A of the OP tho.. xD

Not sure if it's what you'd call an "elemental dragon" but I think the idea of a swamp dragon is an interesting one. Big 'ole one covered in moss and greenery and such.

I was thinking on a dragon that resembless toothless.

There's already a HTTYD mod, though.

Toothless doesn't seem to fit with the vision the creators have for this mod, at least from what I've gathered. Here's why:

• This isn't a HTTYD mod, this is Ice and Fire. Ice and Fire's aim is to create a completely original dragon/mythical creature mod. The aim of a HTTYD mod is to add elements of HTTYD into Minecraft.

• If the creators add Toothless, why shouldn't they add other HTTYD dragons? If they did, they would quickly become bogged down with adding HTTYD dragons, and be unable to add other interesting creatures, like gryphons or leviathans.

• Toothless is an elemental dragon, the creators have stated that the other elements are planned to be embodied by other creatures.

• The guys over at HTTYMD are doing an excellent job of making a HTTYD mod. Why should Ice and Fire make their hard work meaningless by adding Toothless and other HTTYD dragons? Yes, HTTYMD is taking a while, but they've been occupied with RL. Just be patient.

Since red fire dragons will darken with age, will ice dragons turn bluer/whiter with age?

Also, after the two main dragons are done, will you add different types of fire and ice dragons? (One with lava patterned skin or something.)

I like look of this mod(textures,models...)its awesome,but what dragons are you gonna add next?(i know its ice and fire dragon mod but is there gonna be more)and what coin gonna do?

Well yes but a black dragon would not hurt the mod. as they are planning to expand. they dont need to be the HTTYD mod to add a blackone. Actualy i think a electric one could also be a nice addition.

Any one else thinks they should follow a hierarchy where the oldest and biggest is the boss and the smaller one are its minions.

As long as emerald something is a thing, then I'm satisfied.

Also on the thought of "simply looked feminine" are there plans to make distinguishable genders? I'd assume this would play into the egg snatching, if it were to become a thing.
