I play on a late 2015 imac. For all config files, I do right-click, "open with", "other", and then select textedit. That has worked well for me. I don't know if there is some other setting difference between our computers, maybe, that is preventing it from working for you? (I'm not that good with computers.)
Whoops, forgot to ask my own question: Is there a way to adjust the view when riding a stage 4+ dragon? It's not so bad at stage 3, but by stage 4, it's very difficult to see anything, especially when trying to aim the fire attack, even in third person POV.
Press F7 when on the dragon, changes the camera angle.
Thank you for the reply and for the suggestion. It didn't work for me? I usually press F5 to switch from 1st person to 3rd person when I'm on dragons (or any other mount), to help zoom out a little. But it's still fairly hard to see anything on the ground or anything you're aiming at once they reach stage 4+. Pressing F7 didn't have any effect. :/
I wish we could have the old config option again, where we could change the render distance in 3rd person view. I'm not sure why it was taken away, but the default settings of the old version (I think 1.3?) were really nice when riding dragons, and I like that we had the option to adjust it, if we wanted a different zoom.
Finding a dragon cave is hard for me. Although I can use Spectator mode, I don't want to do this. You can add some items to help find the dragon cave. For example, "Dragon Cave Eye",make it with a dragon heart and a bottle of dragon blood. Its use is very similar to the use of the End Eye, but the goal is the dragon cave. This method can make the dragon heart useful. You don't have to follow this crafting method, but I still hope that you can add something similar.
Dragon caves aren't supposed to be easy to find. But I see your point. Usually you want to look for lumpy hills made of dragon seared stone. IF the hills is slightly round, good chance there is a cave inside it. Think of the hollow hills from Twilight. Another fun way to chez this is to on this mod with twilight, makes the caves spawn as those hills, its pretty wild.
How aggressive is a tamed dragon? Does it attack zombies for you? Do you have to initiate the attack first or get hit by them first? Is there an option to change these configuration?
So I raised a red and white dragon and it seems that they will attack enemy mobs that you attack or get attacked at stage 2 and 3, but at stage 4 and 5, the dragons became completely passive and will not attack any enemy mob at all unless you mount them.
Is this a bug or is there a way to make the dragons attack enemy mobs at those stages?
A question? Will the Trolls and the Goblins be allies as in the Anime Goblin Slayer? Because there the Trolls and the Goblins form clans with the shamans or the kings and kidnap the villagers from the villages to kill them and eat them. I think the Trolls and the Goblins will do it like in the Anime.
