I absolutely love hexapodal dragons probably because in my country culture (myths, legends etc.) the hexapodal dragons are the most known type of dragons but that doesn't mean I don't like other types. Quite the opposite - I like every type of dragons (my nick literally means Dragon God so yeah, you can tell I love dragons), name it - I like it, it's just so happends that I prefer hexapodal dragons over wywerns. If you ask me my perfect dragon would have body of chinese/japanese dragon (aka serpent) with limbs of hexapodal dragon and head... and there's the part when I don't know which head would be the best, it's just too many ;_;
Yeah, I don't hate other types of dragons, ether. I love all kinds, and in my country hexapodal dragons are more popular, too. I just prefer wyverns for they'r more animalistic looks and because they're flight abillity looks a bit more realistic, thoug my second favourite are the hexapodal dudes. Though often when I talk about wyverns I call them "Dragons", first - because some people don't know what a wyvern is; second - I like how the word "dragon" sounds, and third - wyverns are actually a sub-family of the hexapodal dragons (from a evolutionary point of view, though there's no such thing as "dragon evolution", considering the fact dragons are mythical) and so there's not a big problem calling them dragons.

It's great that you like dragons, and I hope you enjoy the mod when it comes out, but you don't need to talk about the design. It's been made clear, far too many times, that the dragons in this mod are Wyvern styles dragons. They are only Wyverns if they can't breathe fire, but they can.
I'm not saying this to discourage you, but several times people have argued about this on the forum, dragon versus wyvern, when ultimately it's pointless and people are sick of it. Enjoy the mod, glad to meet another dragon fan, but please don't comment on design anymore. Thanks
Oh, right... Sorry but I didn't mean to say: 'Make the hexapodal dragons or I'll do something bad to you'. I just said how my "perfect" would look like and I swear I didn't intend to argue about how dragons in this mod (or any other dragon related mod) should look like. And it doesn't bother me that we will have a wywern dragon type (why it's sounds like something from Pokemon?) they are awesome too and believe me, I will enjoy the mod no matter what type of dragon it will have
Ugh... yeah, what he said. We weren't arguing, we where just talking about our favorite dragon types and not even comparing them (Though I guess it has been made clear that this isn't the place for this kind of conversations ether). Sorry if it looked like we where trying to start a forum battle, we weren't, honestly. And yeah, I sure will enjoy the mod on 100%! Dude, I'm shaking with excitement by only thinking about it!
About the dragon flight thing, flying to long is definitely a problem. I think this mod needs some sort of ranged enemy or more flying things. It still needs to be challenging even though you have a dragon. Just a suggestion.

Challenging? It might not be "easy" to get your hands on a "tamed" Dragon once the mod is released. I guess you'll have to "steal" a Dragon Egg and hatch it, which is probably not as easy as it sounds......

true, that might make it easier. still have to sneak though in order to avoid waking dragons, if they're sleeping. Invisibility might not work if the Mod Developers let the Dragons smell players or mobs. Still almost impossible to wait..
Invisibility potions? maybe?
We are going to be so dead
When you said "Invisibility potions", you reminded me to give out a suggestion - there should be a "Blindness" potion added in the mod that, when the player drinks it, cannot be affected by a gorgon's deadly gaze. Just a suggestion I came up with a while ago.

That would be a great way to make the Gorgons easier! Is it revealed what use the Gorgon's head will have yet? Probably some sort of petrification weapon...

It would be be very cool if when used on a mob (except dragons and other powerful creatures) that mob starts to run away from you just like a creeper runs away from a ocelot or a tamed cat.
I always imagined that Gorgons would go the way of the Guardians, a beam that charges up and then fires, because if we are being realistic, the effect of seeing them and then dying and turning into a statue, would rather hard, if not impossible to code into Minecraft. It would make sense if they were powerless inside complete and/or low darkness, and that all other mobs ran away from them like creepers do from cats (save probably the undead). You should also be able to block it with a shield.
The head should work like the gorgon does when selected, all mobs run away from you and you have the charge beam/ instakill guardian beam attack. It could also work as a sentry, mobs runaway in the direction its facing and such, when you put it on a fence.

The Dragons would be able to smell you still even if you are invisible. So they would know where you where anyway.

Admittedly I was not expecting that results....it can't be right, I for one have to much a hero complex for that to be right and two: I am one of the most Pessimistic people around.....yea I have no idea how I got Mew.....
Now I got it, this is the Pokemon I would be. And I am not just saying that because I like Mewtwo, I really am a lot like Mewtwo.

Why does it matter? So what if it's a common topic? All you are doing is discouraging discussion.

Because it's becoming an exhaustive topic, but that's personal opinion and I'm not going to say that people should stop talking about it. Personally I just wanted players to stop jumping up and down and pointing it out screaming "Not A Dragon!" like a bunch of whiny 5-year-olds. There has been a lot of immaturity shown over the wyvern vs dragon debate and that's part of why some people have grown sick of it, however I haven't seen it over the past several comments and it's a refreshing change for the better. So chat about it all you like, I just hated all the crying and finger pointing that was going on whenever it was brought up.

Well in some myths the head of Medusa was crafted into a shield called Aegis, said to be too awful to behold. So it could be used to scare certain mobs away.

I strive to build a Mechanical Dragon... It isn't going well.

Oh yeah, right! That would be even better! How could I forget that!
Well, there is a wyvern-like boss planned for future updates... though I know nothing about a four-legged one. Probably not, because we already have the Ender Dragon.

When it release me and my friend will try to steal the eggs together. This mod has lots of potential!
