And you could be more polite when asking if you'd like to receive a polite answer.
Before reading this, take heed that I mean nothing bad by it, despite how it may be read/interpreted.
I don't see anything relatively 'impolite' about his comment. Grammatical errors? Sure.
I believe his past statement was trying to say it would have been a better choice to have had it made for 1.7 instead of 1.8 (as in when starting, the past, and of course is his opinion). Not go and make it or revert it to 1.7. So if his comment was intended to be harsh or impolite (which I don't see, because I am a bystander) it might be because he got a relatively harsh answer for a comment that he meant nothing by but was simply misunderstood. A miscommunication due to the phrasing of both of you. I don't mean to be picking sides, but I can't say I'm not biased to the underdog (no offense to him).
I can fully understand (well not really, but I get the gist) of the stress you have to deal with and such as a dev, but Xenomorph is seen quite often on this thread and a very loyal supporter as I see it. It's understood the "threat" was in general, but having quoted him before can lead to speculation. Let's not drag this on with petty rambling, and I dare say this to you especially you Alex. As a dev, you are to be seen in a "higher-light" like it or not. The last thing you want to do is look bad, be it you fault or not, because it very well may be imprinted on you forever. That is what happened when you are in the "spotlight". I love you guys, but I can't and won't be afraid to speak my mind, even to you great devs.
I understand what I am asking may be unrealistic, but I will request that neither of you (Alex & Xeno) reply to this comment. The last thing I want to do is strike up more of this, even if that is what I have done in the process. I'm no moderator, but I would like to see this thread flourish and be clean as I do enjoy it. Good day to you both.
You should have it that if you raise an ice and fire dragon together from a young age they become friendly with each other, and if you breed them you can get some interesting things? Also, a nether dragon or demon that lives in the nether would amazing. Maybe a Wyrm? Something that digs those caves in the nether? Would the colours of dragons have the same sort of thing as a sheep, or would it be more like a genetic thing?
The loss of mods such as ancient warfare and other medieval mods is certainly tragic. I hope balkons weapons can update as who doesn't want to fire cannons at dragons.
Dont worry, there will always be people that appreciate those mods and update them. kinda happened with chococraft.

Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world — "No, you move
I checked the FAQ and the Plans, and while you did mention adding more types of dragons in the future, you didn't really have any specific details. I hope you're not against suggestions in the meantime, then.
When you're done with the Fire and Ice types, why not have some bird-like dragons, similar to the Ornithosaurs from the Witcher series?
Other bird-like dragons:
It would certainly be interesting to have some different styles as well as elemental species of dragons, and these would fit with your preference for a bipedal, occasionally wing-walking style of dragon.
Also: Having some type of dragon hunt cows, sheep and horses by swooping down and carrying them back to its den would be quite immersive and frightening to witness.
Ermm I'd read it again as we stated we weren't adding other dragon types.
Now Im only throwing this out for you, But how about Fire Dragons have A New power where if they het with Lightning, they Will Become Super Fire Dragons, And Breath Radeoactive Fire, That both deals 10 HP (In Diamond Armour) but also Destrows Aney Blockes it touches turning the area into a Radeoactive Landfill. Same Thing with the Ice Dragons, But insted of Lightning, Maby When An Ice Dragon Gets Hit By An Ice Spike, (I new Structre Idea) It Becomes a Super Ice Dragon, With Breath that Freezes you in a block Of ce, Poisens you, and Gives you Frost Bite. Also Dealing the Same Amount of Dammage as the Super Fire Dragon 5 Hp Per tick in Diamond Armor, 2 in Dragonscale Armor of of the Corusponding Type.

Why must we harm them in the first place, dragons should be respected. I intend to develop a civilization around a dragon's lair and start a dang cult!!!!
Building a town around a dragon’s layer is like building it around a volcano. As only the higher ranked dragons are found in caverns (normally stage 4, rarely stage 5). So if it gets waken you’re going to have some problems.
will the dragons be able to bite ? because breathing fire at your target that's standing right next to you is just stupid
Will they also have attacks like tail swings and such if you get too close? So that it is difficult to melee them, but also hard to range them because of fire. It would also be awesome to see dragons do dives that form craters and such, but they would have to be very high tier. Also, about how you were saying you could offer food to lower tier dragons to keep them from attacking you? Would that possibly make them less likely to attack you when they are higher level since they are used to you?
Yes they will be able to bite, however why is breathing fire at point blank stupid?
firing a rocket at point blank would kill you and your target (i know that fire dragons will probably be immune to fire damage, but it's awesome to see more attacks than just breathing fire)

i just have a question will tamed dragons be tame to other mobs or players?

Would be interesting to have a "respect" system. Though the question is does this "respect" outweigh its hunger?

a "respect" system is currently planned as it would be difficult for early players to fight/defend themselves from nearby dragons. Currently we have an idea of offering them livestock to keep there blood-lust sated.

Just how long would this work on a dragon? Like what tier would this become ineffective?

i think dragons will look for livestock but attack players when they try to enter to their lairs.

Sounds like there's some room for interpretation there as far as "dragon-like-creatures" goes.

We aren't sure yet.
