So far i can break everything made in the sawbench with the hammer, maybe you should say it for some people, but the mod is really great, thanks for the effort
Hmmm, I didn't really design the hammer for breaking things -- I wouldn't expect it to work any better than just using your fist. But I might be wrong.
Playing with this mod eventually got my house filled with those unremovable sawed blocks (crashes every time, even with a hammer). The only method that works for me is to open to lan with cheats, go to creative, break those blocks and restart. But despite that, it's a really great mod.
Greg_Ewing, I wanted to ask-- while the mod is mostly comprehensive, there are some shapes you can't create (for instance the 'lesser' triangle, connecting a horizontal slope to two vertical slopes). Would we be able to request other primitives to be added to later releases, since the models would be relatively easy for you to prepare?
I'm preparing an imgur album here where I'll have the gaps to be filled and a paint mockup of the shape that would be inserted; expect for it ~10?minutes after this post is made.
EDIT: Okay, here it is. First picture is for your attention, Greg, the rest are for yours and anybody's. Painterly pack used.
Just happened to come across this mod when looking for roofing ideas and - wow! This adds that and a lot more and looks really awesome! I would love to use it but I too am still using 1.7.10, so if the creator or anyone else took the time to backport it I would be so happy!
I have a problem where clients crash whenever someone tries to break shapes cut from seemingly any kind of stone. The crash doesn't seem to occur with any other materials, just the stone types. Is anyone else experiencing this bug?

A very nice looking more that has some fatal flaws.
For example, when I returned to one of the worlds I made with these blocks I found it refused to load and reported a tessellation error. At first I thought it was due to moving to a more recent version of Forge however when I opened the world with MCEdit i found that copying blocks into a schematic caused the schematic itself to become faulty.
Had you used MCEdit or WorldEdit on the world before the corruption occurred, or only afterwards?
Do you have a backup of the world from before you upgraded Forge and before you used MCEdit or WorldEdit on it? If so, does that world load using the old version of Forge?
I've discovered that the change I made to fix the block breaking problem had another effect I didn't anticipate: if you break a block without using a tool of the appropriate level, you lose the block (like when you mine stone or ores).
What do people think about this? Is it reasonable behaviour, or should I make it so that the tool only affects breaking speed, not whether you can recover the block?
if you break a block without using a tool of the appropriate level, you lose the block (like when you mine stone or ores).
Yes that's reasonable as long as it takes an equally long time to destroy the block in that case so users can realize what's happening (like when mining or and stone with a hand).
are you going to bring back roof corners btw?, not the bottom corner piece. but the triangle piece. i know that theres a new triangle piece. but its not that roof corner...
The Bevelled Outer Corner under Roofing is one of the ones requested by Nnynstyxx. If that's not what you mean, you'll have to show me a picture of what you want.
man i totally found it. i had mistaken the "roof outer corner" for some kind of miniaturized 4 sided pyramid piece.
i don't know where i was gettin' that idea..... i kept looking for an outer corner piece and i was like... i know that thing was there. i KNOW it was there.
but alas the 4 sided pyramid scheme got me. xD
lol... that's a good one.
i did notice when you break a block the particles show correctly, but when i fall over 4 blocks high and land on a block the particles displayed are pink. and im totally not out to be a stickler. but it would be kinda cool to build some kind of spike room out of the bevelled outer corners.
edit: same thing is happening when running up the sides of blocks aswell.
(the white window pane.png displays invisible as a particle.)
but then again, perhaps there is a reason for this.
Hmmm, I didn't really design the hammer for breaking things -- I wouldn't expect it to work any better than just using your fist. But I might be wrong.
The fist also crash the game, the only thing you can use (in my case) to break the blocks is the hammer, the chisel crash it too.

Hey, are you planning a 1.8.8 version any time soon? Just curious.
I haven't had time to even think about that yet. We'll see.
Had you used MCEdit or WorldEdit on the world before the corruption occurred, or only afterwards?
Do you have a backup of the world from before you upgraded Forge and before you used MCEdit or WorldEdit on it? If so, does that world load using the old version of Forge?
Latest update (1.1.0) has these (look in the Roofing and Rounded categories). Also added a new category, Arches.
Oh, awesome! Let me check this stuff out!
Yes that's reasonable as long as it takes an equally long time to destroy the block in that case so users can realize what's happening (like when mining or and stone with a hand).
im really enjoying the arches and stuff. and the spheres are far out man.
i built a skateboard ramp in minecraft... like since when is there skateboarding in minecraft?
so yeah thats just so cool.
Nifty. All we need now is a skateboard mod to go with it! (No, I'm not volunteering...)
lol where is that skates.png at now... ?
are you going to bring back roof corners btw?, not the bottom corner piece. but the triangle piece.
i know that theres a new triangle piece. but its not that roof corner...
maybe im not seeing it and completely missing something. idk
