i think you should make steel and torite armor and blocks darker like the items
Ehh. Just tried that in a text commit, but the problem I kept running into is that simply darkening the existing Torite and Steel block/armor textures makes them super contrast-ey and weird. To really get it to look good I'd need to re-do the block textures from scratch, but then I'd also have to re-do the armor textures too, which takes a long time. Probably won't happen for 4.1.1, but I might try to fix those when I have some spare time.

My plan is to convert all of the Minestrapp 16x16 blocks/items to 32x32. Hopefully it can be released as a Minestrapp resource pack. I'll post more pics soon with other new blocks.

Very very nice!
also those of you that play on the server may notice it hasn't been online. I've been having some issues with the payments not going through I should have it back up soon.
Not yet unfortunately. We'll make sure it comes back as soon as possible, but sadly issues with the server host's payment system aren't something we can control, so it may be down for a bit.
On a more positive note, though, I just managed to fix the redwood bug! (Hopefully for real this time). Their leaves still decay a bit when they're generated, but they have a slightly larger decay range and drop less saplings, so each tree should only drop about 1 sapling maximum while it's decaying as opposed to the tons that they were dropping before.
I also managed to fix Minestrapp Saplings not being plantable in Flower Pots! That's a bug that's been around since like Minestrapp 3, so even though it may not seem like a big deal, it's a big deal to us. Unfortunately though, we had to overwrite Vanilla Flowerpots to do it, so if you have already placed Flower Pots in your world, you'll have to craft new ones in order to plant Minestrapp plants in them.
And while we're on the subject of fixes and features, Cobblestone Walls for each of the 4 other biome-specific Stone types have been added, along with Granite, Andesite, Diorite, and Slate Brick Stairs and Slabs! They're relatively minor decorative features, but they should open up quite a few new building possibilities.
Is it on the github issues page? I don't remember what that bug was, but it's hard to keep track of them if they aren't listed on github, so if you post it there we can probably try to fix it.

When you hover over boulders with nei tooltips on, it flickers missing textures and shows all its drops. The drops part is a NEI glitch that also appears with grass, and has to do with how rare drops work.
Alright, here's a quick update since we haven't been posting much recently.
Obviously, 4.1.1 has been delayed a lot from its initial release date estimate. Don't worry: the mod isn't dead again. Me and Werty are both in college and the school year started again last month, so we just haven't had any time to work on much. Fortunately though, we only have one major bug we need to fix before we can release 4.1.1, so hopefully that'll be out before winter break.
As far as the server goes, I have some good news and some bad news. Bad news is we still can't seem to get the payments to go through, so the official server is still down. We're not sure when it'll be back up, but we'll make sure we get it up as soon as we can.
However, the good news is I just set up a small temporary Minestrapp server to fill the gap until we get the normal one back up. Unfortunately, it's on a new world save, might be slightly laggier, and can only support up to 20 people at once, but it's definitely better than nothing. I also built an actual spawn building this time, and every user gets a free Claimerator when they log on for the first time, so the early-game experience should be a bit smoother than it was on the official server. The I.P. for that is 68.40.120.63, so feel free to hop on if you're getting Minestrapp server withdrawl.
We've actually created two new dimensions in the past, though neither of them were ever added to Minestrapp. One of them was Virtious, which was a sort of alien-planet type environment that we created for Modjam 3. We worked on it with one of the devs from the Elysium mod, and he made a short showcase video about it during that Modjam, so you can watch that for a better idea of what the dimension looked like.
Though it never really got fleshed out very much after Modjam, the dimension was intended to have a very large emphasis on exploration and dungeons, and even had a few types of "post-apocalyptic bunkers" coded in and generating before we stopped development. At one point, we were planning on updating the dimension and adding it to Minestrapp, where it would help fill in some of the technology gaps in our planned super-late-game tech tree. The idea was that players would be able to find various technical components in the Virtious dungeons, which they could use to craft technologies that would normally seem ridiculously advanced and out of place in the relatively steam-punk-esque technology era of the Overworld. This idea was partially implemented in the form of the Technological Doodads added in 4.0.2A, but who knows -- if we have enough time next summer, we might try re-adding the dimension again.
The other dimension we were working on was a sort of sky dimension loosely based on the Aether (partially inspired by the fact that the Aether devs seem to be consistently two versions behind the latest Vanilla version :P). The dimension was coming along well -- we had quite a few blocks and items already added, and even had the terrain generating flawlessly -- but then we ran into all the issues with Minestrapp 3, and Clashsoft (who was the main dev working on the dimensions at the time) decided to quit modding to focus more on his programming language, Dyvil, so the project just sort of fizzled out. We don't really have any idea if we'll pick it up again some day, but it would definitely be interesting to see how we could work it into Minestrapp, especially now that Hang Gliders are fully functional...

I would love to see these added! I've always wanted a better aether, and a "moon" dimension.
Hey Delo, I finished the mockup texture of the-thing-that-shall-be-unknown. Here it is!
Here are a few pictures of a few blocks that I have been working on for a 32x32 Minestrappolation resource pack.

That's awesome! Did you make the rest of the textures as well, or will this be an add-on to an existing resource pack?

Have you guys ever planned on adding a dimension?
The server will be back up within a day or 2 I just have to reset a few things and it will be good to go!

I'm sorry to ask again, but I haven't been active for a month. Has any progress been made in fixing the bug?
yes, they did fix it.
Are you ever going to add DPS developers like 1.9?
