I was going to keep the 1.7.10 version updated, but there is such a big difference in code between that and 1.8, it was just taking up a lot of time. So I decided to focus on improving the 1.8.9 version, though I have not given up support of 1.7.10 if you find any issues.
Loot bag chance has been a config option for a while now - I am not actively updating 1.7.10 versions at the moment because I haven't got time to work on that and the 1.8.9 versions.
I recommend updating to the latest 1.8.9 version, though I am guessing you are using other mods that aren't ported over yet.
I really like how it's similar to Chocolate's Dungeons mod.

Awesome mod! I was using this in a personal modpack I've got going and I thought something cool to add in would be compatibility and support with other mods, say for example Biomes o Plenty. As for general content I consider this mod to be complete as it is already well balanced and super fun to use, especially if you are looking to spice up your regular survival world honestly any modded client.
I was intending to add BoP biome support, but that is the only one I really have planned, at the moment. If you have any other suggestions I would be happy to hear them.

Heyyy, there are a few things I'd like to address here...
1- I've had this mod installed for quite some time and so far every single loot-bag has dropped so far except the potion bag. Is it supposed to be rare or is it some type of glitch?
2- While travelling around the world I like to look out for the traps in the ground that have chests under them, though sometimes they are completely empty. Is this a bug too?
3- Have encountered towers with tower guardians in them a lot. Will tower guardians ever get a spawn egg? Is the N supposed to be capitalized when he says "Naive"?... And out of context, is he supposed to not have arms? xD

1) Potion bags were disabled at one point, because a problem selecting a random potion. But I am pretty sure I fixed that. (When I have time to update this again, I will look into it)
2) That is intended. Some traps spawn without a loot box, as a decoy. Sometimes loot boxes spawn without traps. Have fun removing the top 2 layers of your entire world.
3) I don't intend to add a spawn egg for Tower Guardians, but you can create new ones by putting a nether star in an armoured skeleton. Pretty sure that is in the description, over on the curse page.

I haven't found a single dungeon yet it my world. I'm using a preset, so is that a problem? I really want to find one and make it my base. Other than that, I love this mod. It reminds me of the olden days.
The mod generates all structures during worldgen, and I haven't added retrogen, so worlds generated without Dungeon Tactics will not have the worldgen features (Towers, Dungeons, Flowers, etc.).
There is a config option to increase/decrease the number of Towers/Dungeons generated, if you want to make sure they are generating in a test world.

My world gen respects the structures gamerule - as long as generate structures is true, towers and dungeons should generate, even with a custom/preset world.
If you decrease the spread of towers and start a test world, but they still do not generate, let me know and I will look into it - otherwise, just keep looking. The default spread is 1000 blocks, with fuzz, so you will have to search a fair way. If you want a lot of my structures, but don't want it to be overly crowded, around 500 is a good number.
I was just about to ask about dungeon chance, but you beat me to it. Looking at the configs shed a lot of light on things, mostly what the ore clusters were. I turned up dungeon spawns by 2.5x since I feel they are way too rare. That said, I still have some questions.
- How are gilded and jeweled armor better than, say, diamond?
- What does duct tape do?
- Who is this skull with armor at the top of the tall dungeons and why does he take so much killing?
- Do magic tethers do anything besides teleport you around?
- What does the battle harness do?
- What does a pylactery do?
- What does a heart jar do?
- What do the mastery tomes do?
I'm definitely looking forward to playing this mod!

Secondly; if the answers aren't in the description, play around and see what happens. You might end up finding an easter egg in the process.
I am loving this mod, especially the loot bags. That said, I think I've found a bug: I can't apply enchanted books to things in the anvil. I have the latest version. This may be interference with Craft++, but I didn't have this bug until I installed this mod.

What do you mean by 'Preset'?
