I mean, back when I stared, Lapis was just a decorative block.
Nope. I haven't tried to make it work with other power systems. It's intended to be intentionally low tech. Forestry and IE should have other grinder systems, which will perform better than the windmill anyway.
Ahh ok, that makes sense. I didn't look for other grinders, because your grindstone was the coolest :). I love in-game machinery that looks kinda low tech, but is still useful.
You probably get asked this constantly, but a quick forum search didn't turn up any answer - do you have plans on eventually porting at least some of the feature set of Harder Underground to > 1.7? Enough of my "required" mods are finally into 1.10.2 that I'm running that now. I really miss underground being more adventurous though, and I can't find anything like HU or Enviromine to fill that slot :/.

Yes, but, not soon. I need to revisit the goals from the ground up. The result wasn't quite what I wanted and the gas caused a lot of lag issues.

Any idea why the container sluice was removed? I cannot find it in the config or in the mod itself anymore. Even used NEI to search for it.
Also, could use an oredict for this mod's flour, so that it can be used for making HC dough.
I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!

Alrighty, maybe look into TE compatibility so small dusts can be crafted 9:1 into pulverized ore. Could make early game a slight bit less tedious when getting that first batch of iron for the sifter.

The idea is for you to "upgrade" from the windmill / millstone to the pulverizer. The raw ore should go right into it.
If it doesn't you can use a pressure packager (can be powered by the same windmill) to turn 9 raw ore into a packaged ore block that will (the model on it is bleh, but it's just a failsafe mod compatibility thing).

The only bug I have now is with manually crafting tiny dusts into large dusts w/ TE installed. It works once, then stops working until I reload the world, sometimes not working until I completely reload the game. That might be a problem.

"On another note, am I supposed to be able to hook up the millstone with other power sources such as those from Forestry or Immersive Engineering? I couldn't get it to work. Later in the game, I'd love to hook up your millstone to the (sorry!) sexier windmills from IE and have them in my underground workshop :)."

What about the flour and sugarcane grinding though? I like having that required, but I can't upgrade your windmill to the IE windmills. Although I guess I haven't tried putting wheat/sugarcane through an IE grinder.

I am using CustomOreGen and Ore Flowers and am wondering if there is a way to configure the flowers to oreDict with Copper. I am not using Harder Ores for personal preference and I cannot get the flowers to spawn for Copper. Any help would be great!

I don't know what my issue was. Strange. This is going to be a strange request, but hopefully it is something that you would be able / willing to do. Instead of flowers, I want to place "hint" ore rocks on the ground similarly to how TerraFirmaCraft does it.
hey running into a bit of an issue where no ore is spawning in the world at all. im running a pretty mod heavy pack currently but there are not many that change the generation. have you or anyone run across any incompatibilities amongst other mods? or perhaps i have missed a step somewhere in the configs?

do a /cogEnableDebugging true command and check to see what COG thinks its doing (cheats required), then in creative mode, punch your way to some of those veins and check to see if they're being populated.
But it does sound like a mod incompatibility, but it's likely something that's incompatible with COG.

tested out a new world, ran the command and all it shows are the green squares. flew around for quite some time and nothing changed.
in the configs i noticed mention of things like ic2 but did not see immersive engineering, would it have an issue with it not recognizing the ore? i originally had geolosys installed but now disabled in the pack, so ill give deleting that mod entirely and deleting the config file a go just to see if some reaming bits are interfering.
and probably a silly question but would the fact that im running mc1.12.2 and not mc 1.12.1 be an issue?
additional question would BOP terrain gen mess with CoG?

That would be COG not having any distributions to lay down. The redstone pipes are freaking everywhere.
Why that is could be due to another mod force-disabling COG's distributions, COG's distributions just being disabled by the user, or some other issue.

Sorry to be "that guy" but I'm somewhat confused here- The mod you link that you say is required- Custom Ore Generation- doesn't seem to be updated to 1.12? Will throwing it into a 1.12 client still work, or do we just need to wait for it to update
Awesome looking mod BTW, been wanting to make the time to try it out

Already done:
https://github.com/Draco18s/ReasonableRealism/blob/1.12.1/src/main/java/com/draco18s/flowers/OreFlowersBase.java#L217
If it's not detecting a given mod's copper, then they haven't registered it to the oreDict in a way that I can recognize it.
Thanks Draco!
