Keep trying! There are 4 more out there, and one of them isn't too much harder to get than the Zebra.

The hint for breeding the other four secret horses is that they work almost opposite how the Zebra works.... I'll drop another hint in a few days if no one is successful.

I'll drop one small hint right now, though: Don't worry about the Aura trait, as it doesn't affect whether a horse becomes a secret breed or not.

XXwardXX, I do believe you have one there! Just to verify, could you post a pic of the DNA and/or the inventory screen?

Unfortunately, that doesn't count. It is pretty cool, though, and not easy to do!

This is a pain in the butt.

Yeah, you need to be careful with how you keep track of your different horse breeds. I'd kill off the ones that have less good genes than the ones you already have, just to help keep things easier. Like if you breed a horse with a big body and wings with a horse that has a horn and wings, and you get offspring that just has a big body (and no wings and no horn), then just get rid of it.

Sometimes I'll breed some of my prize horses, and when they don't give me a good offspring, I'll just go away and come back in a few minutes when they're ready to breed again. They *do* recharge faster than normal horses, but it still takes a little time.

There are still three horse breeds to find.

XXwardXX discovered the Red-winged Blackbird by breeding a horse that has all of the traits (well, the important ones - Aura doesn't matter) - wings, flaming hooves, horn, and large size. With all those traits present, the Destrier hide gene ("d") mutated into the special Red-winged Blackbird hide gene ("D").

I'll get in touch over PM to tell you how to get your prize, two custom horses!

Here's a better picture of the Red-Winged Blackbird mutant breed. It's actually kind of hard to get a good pic, since he spawns with the big Destrier body.

However, I used a cheat code to make him a little smaller, to get a better picture.

You can see that he has a modified Destrier hide, with bright red feathery wing tips, and a reddish tint to his horn.

Wow, great job! He is the hardest of all 5 secret breeds, because those unicorn skin genes are the most recessive (except for Zebra hide genes, but those are special and don't count).

There are 2 secret breeds left to find.

By the way, you can breed these guys with other horses, and they'll pass on their special hide genes, which are dominant over the normal hide genes. That way you can see a pegasus with big rainbow wings, if you want.

EDIT: Is there a command to spawn the rainbow smash? I accidentally entered the save without the mod :/

Oh bummer! There is a way to cheat one in, if you can figure it out. There's a cheat codes page here . I went and figured out the cheat code for Red-Winged Blackbird last night, and I'll do it for Rainbow Smash tonight, and I'll post them both on that page.

I'm not sure I want to post yet how to actually use the cheat codes (but if someone figured it out, I'd be cool with that). I'd like for the other two breeds to be discovered first, you know, so it's not trivial to just put in a cheat code to make one appear.

If no one discovers the two remaining in a couple of weeks, I'll just post the cheat codes and how to use them.

Let me think on it, and I'll see if I can come up with a good way for you to get another Rainbow Smash sooner.
