Oh, I haven't yet made the vis discount greater when applied with the warpwood rod... it says it in the thaumanomicon but I forgot to add it :L will be fixed for this weeks update.

Sounds awesome, Ill try and maybe add the crimson cultist ball as a focus. Maybe call it "Wand Focus: Crimson Terror" ? don't know, but the whole "mimicing a crimson cultist" sounds like a cool idea.

I like the new wands caps and rods, problem is that I added this to an already generated world that I've explored pretty far out, so it's going to take a minute to get to some shadow ore.
Hopefully in the next version you will be able to make shadow ore as well as find it in the world.
The current version of Thaumcraft has a limited number of spaces for addon tabs. When Azanor updates to TC5 in 1.8, he'll be allowing for the tabs to be added dynamically.

And the shadow stuff to be completely honest id rather just make it in a crucible over world gen just because it feels along the way thamcraft is maybe have it as a config?

Yeah, crucible truly feels more thaumcrafty but since its already programmed I think ill just add research to be able to craft it as well... maybe ill make it more rare in the world too.

Hmmm... I love the idea of your mod (especially since I spent last week writing out a whole taint themed expansion for Thaumcraft due to the exclusion of it lately), but one thing is nagging at me currently. If I'm remembering right, Azanor had stated that warp and taint are like two separate ideas of a similar bent, but at the same time at odds with each other. This mod freely mixes both, which breaks that lore. Now, don't quote me on that, because I'm certainly not scanning through hundreds of pages even with the search feature to find that specific post. That and I leave for work in 10 minutes.... curse you lack of free time! *shakes fist*
I have a request if it's at all possible. At the moment, taint is a joke. It doesn't spread much at all. I gave a chunks worth of taint 10 hours to spread and it barely doubled in size. What I want is an optional taint boost. Just a config option that makes taint go faster than the default max. If you can do that you will be my hero. I mean is threatening taint too much to ask?
I always felt that we needed an eldritch 'blast?' wand focus, as soon as Thaumcraft released the eldritch guardians. Nice work, I really like the craftable crimson set, though personly I find the void fortress armor redundant, it is too close to void robes. I can however understand that you must have thought about it and this is the outcome.
Thanks! and I actually re-added the void fortress armor from thaumcraft 4.2.0.0... It was that before the void robes. It may be almost the same ability-wise, but it looks cool. and its always nice to have a bunch of different armor sets, even if they have the same functions. (im obsessed with armor)

Hmmm. I might mention in the principal entry that it wasnt just a ripped page that spoke of using evil magics. Based off of this I think it should say "Using the evil magics together"

haha, i'll see what I can do. I can probably make a hook that will increase the speed that taint spreads...
In the next version the Warpwood will come in sapling form which you will have to grow to get the wood, it will grow in the form of a warped tree. (Inspiration for this came from Forbidden Magic's Tainted Tree)

I also have removed a bunch of the unnecessary materials that make no sense and I have changed them back to their normal thaumcraft counterparts. No more Shadow Gem, or Shadow Dust.

On a response to you wanting taint to spread faster, go into the config and change thaumcrafts config for taint spread ticks. (Its labeled #The chance per block update (1 in n) of the Taint biome spreading.) Normally its at 200, so a 1/200 chance, but put it to say 10 and it has a 1/10 chance to spread every few ticks. I would recommend using 50 to 100 for and above average spread, but if you want super taint, set it to the 10.
