slowing it up does the same thing, it looks like its slowing but for a second it goes back to normal time and same thing happens. i tried everything from /tickrate 30-40-50 or something like that

I just tried on Skyfactory 2.5.5 and it works perfectly well for me. Can you record a video or something like that?
NOtice the time and the sky and the furnace. same speed , doesnt speed up . it goes back. and also look at fps is good and stable
There is a mod in the modpack that prevents the server tickrate to be changed. I don't know which one, but there is definitely one. If you want, you can start removing mods and to test which one caused it. Depending on the mod, I can fix the issue
Hi sir, i thought u said u tried it on sky factory 2.5.5 and it worked? i also tried it on project ozone 2, same thing happened.
I did a quick test, that's why I thought it worked. If you find which mod is in SkyFactory 2.5.5 and Project Ozone 2 that causes this, please, let me know and I'll try to fix ASAP
can u tell me how to disable mods or something? i dont even know how.
Some launchers have a "disable/remove" option. But if yours doesn't, you can open the mods directory and just delete them. And don't forget to not open your save file after removing mods, as it can corrupt it.
I can't seem to find it i've been looking for hours, please help me find it , on skyfactory 2.5.5 i really want to use this mod, i tried it on older versions of skyfactory 2.4 it worked, but yea 2.5.5 doesnt, can u please find it out for me. im using cursed too. its taking too much time.

Hey! neighborvadim found out which mod was causing the problem, it was Fastcraft.
Try removing Fastcraft and see if it works, and thank neighborvadim for investigating it
Mod is a amazing tool, awesome that it's being updated however it doesn't work with the replay mod, https://www.replaymod.com/ The problem is, once you load into a replay various buttons will just instantly freeze the game forever, mainly buttons dealing with time in the replay mod like the pause button, jumping fowards, jumping backwards, pressing the esc key.
However if this is not fixed I or anyone else can keep the tickrate mod while recording and simply remove it while editing the replay.

So client tickrate affects your player entity on the server? Or is it just what you see client side? Is the player actually moving faster/slower on the server or do they just seem like they are from their end?

They are moving faster/slower. The server might not behave properly, but they are.
If it's not to much of a problem to do, you should add a command to increase player speed, slowing down the tickrate is really useful for me but when my player moves slow.. it makes things annoying, and also prevents me from setting the tickrate to 0.
It's definitely a great improvement for the mod, but I don't know if I want to over complicate it. I'll definitely think about it.

For Curse Launcher, read this

What happens when a player's tickrate is faster or slower than the server?
I'll take a look at it
You do everything faster, but the server might not like it and will probably "undo" your actions because they are too fast.
So client tickrate affects your player entity on the server? Or is it just what you see client side? Is the player actually moving faster/slower on the server or do they just seem like they are from their end?
They are moving faster/slower. The server might not behave properly, but they are.
Okay…well here's another problem. I tried excuting the /tickrate command via command blocks, it actually worked.
However, if this command is excuted while the player is flying forward, the player will be teleported a few blocks forward, strange.
Seems to be a minor bug?
It's definitely a great improvement for the mod, but I don't know if I want to over complicate it. I'll definitely think about it.
The tickrate command resets the client timer, but it's an easy fix. Thanks for reporting the bug
It means that it can change the speed of the game, including the speed that sounds plays
