You and Chisel and Bits are some of my favorite mods! I really love the possibility of creating tons of custom doors and shutters and windows. Will the 1.10.2 release of Little tiles have a better UI for setting up the doors? If not would you consider adding tool tips for some of the stuff in the door UI? Keep up the good work! can't wait to see a full release :)!

Thanks,
what do you have in mind? Any specific ideas?
I guess just tool tips explaining the various options would be nice. I'm having a bit of an issue with the 1.10.2 pre release, I keep getting an Open GL error whenever I try to open up the UI, which is kinda keeping me from taking a bit of a closer look to see if anything stands out. Perhaps as a way future thing an actual rendering of the structure in question? Maybe like a ghost of the position it would open in? because I found in the 1.7.10 version, the door would flip orientations it would open on. Thank you!
Also would you consider support for Chisel's Glass and transparent blocks? Can't seem to get it to render when I place it down. I can use them, but they won't show up

When I feel about the new update and how I feel about using with other mods.
Littles Tiles and Chisel and Bits are the only mods I know with the capability of create custom blocks and furniture. Each has there own thing that makes the other stand out. I'm a little bias, but I use 1.7.10. The creator of Chisels and Bits said that there will not be a back port to 1.7.10 and will never happen. So I use Little Tiles.
I used both mods using 1.10.2 to see that the differences were. Here is what I know.
Chisel and Bits is more easy to use in terms of chiseling. One of the biggest feature is that I can chisel any part of the world using C&B. In Little Tiles, I have to use the hammer to create blocks. It would be much easier If you can just chisel blocks and redo/undo if you mess up. Chisel and Bits also has a feature where you can change the shape of the chisel by pressing alt/control. This helps in creating complex structure blocks for stairs, rails, etc..
Also, C&B automatically saves the design/structure into its own tab after its destroyed. This makes it easy to quickly create. There is less steps in create a design too. You just get a design paper, click on structure, and its saved into the tab. Problem with this is, I wasn't able to create a large structure. Little Tiles can. In Little Tiles, I just click on a first position and second position and use the steps to create the structure. Little Tiles mod can also create specific blocks such as doors, ladders, and many others. This is a great feature that C&B doesn't have. (There is a problem when creating multi structures. It's confusing when trying to do the positions. I feel its much easier and smart if you use the top corner and bottom corners of a block to make positions. I use World Edit mod and it has this feature when I create a large stone block. So if you right click the top and bottom corners of the section you want to make a multi structure, then you would be getting every block in the section. Personally, I couldn't figure out how to position.)
things i wish little blocks can do:
easy to create structures.
a way to save structures & multi-structures for import/export
chisel any block in the world.
create chisel shapes for creativity.
things little blocks can do C&B can't:
create large structures
customized blocks (doors, ladders, etc..)
and other things like mark tool, force mode, etc..
I hope this helps.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I couldn't place a multi structure in 10.2. I don't know why.

Yeah, the last pre-release had a couple of issues. I could fix this already. The ui is the same as it was in 1.7.10. I also took care of the chisel glass issue.

First of all thanks for your great and detailed feedback.
I think the biggest issue about LittleTiles is that there are no tutorials and i will take care of that once it's officially released.
There is a way to import and export structures (/lt-export and /lt-import) and creating a structure should also be rather simple. It works like exactly like WorldEdit. The update for 1.10.2 adds a new tool called "utility knife" which allows you to chisel anything you want
So i hope this could solve some of your questions and i hope i can upload a tutorial rather soon.
Can you make possible to export structures as json files models? (Btw thank you for the ehnanced explosions feature I watched a little while ago the video)
I love this idea, but i'm not really into modeling, do you know any modeling tool i could use for testing?
Was checking out your videos and now I remember what I'd like for doors! Would it be possible to maybe have different settings for them? Such as sliding or lock to an axis so it opens like a vanilla door? Also would be lovely to give it maybe the vanilla door sounds as well, or at least an option to do so!
Also would you look into compatibility for Flat Colored Blocks? Think it would be great to use those in conjunction with your mod
Looking forward to the full release keep up the good work :D!

Yeah, sliding doors would be sooo awesome, but i personally think that those need sliding animations. So my next plan is to implement door animations, which is rather complicated and i want to release the new version first.
'opens like a vanilla door' - what does it mean?
I plan to add some more options for doors (such as sound and maybe animation speed ), but that's something for the future.
I already discovered that there is an issue with Flat Colored Blocks, which will be fixed in the next pre-release.
Completely understand, would love to see those features in a future update
Well with vanilla doors they can swing open in one direction. I don't mind that little tiles allows you to have the door swing in multiple directions, I would like the option however to limit it to opening in one position. Hope that clears it up
a guy sd something about a enhanced explosion feture and he saw it in a video what does he mean by that i looked through every page but coudent find a video wiht explosions in

It's actually rather simple to do that, just make a door thicker than one tile and put the axis on the edge. If you now place a block directly next to it, it won't be able to rotate in both directions, because the block is in the way (hope you could understand it, otherwise i will send you some pictures).

There is MrCrayfish's Model Creator (free) https://mrcrayfish.com/tools.php?id=mc that allows you to import JSON files If you will do it, your mod will be the most intuitive modeling program ever created (for Minecraft) totally in-game (even the texturization, which will use the already existing textures without having to create new ones). This mod will become more and more awesome!!
Ok i will take a look at that once i have finished the rendering system.
DUDE YOUR PICTURES ARE AWESOME, love it
I would love to implement some of your creations in the trailer, so if you like the idea you could send me your world.
Sure!! How can I send you my world? Is it possible via email?
I don't know, most of the e-mail providers don't allow more than 2MB per mail. You could also upload to a cloud (dropbox or something like that) or you could add me in skype or discord, but i rather send my data via pm so just say want you prefer.
All I can say is wow... I've been so torn over 1.7.10 because there was no chisel and bits, but this is arguably even more versatile! It's a shame I only found this mod now... I understand why you're updating to 1.10 and I believe that's definitely a good step in getting this mod out there, but I'm curious if you think you will plan on continuing support for 1.7.10? Also, I'm a bit confused how I can copy structures with the wrench in survival mode? Thanks and keep up the great work!

Thank you very much, the version for 1.7.10 is stable, so i will keep it as it is.
You need a Little Container and fill it with the needed materials.
Here is the last pre-release, hope i can release the full version this week:
CreativeCore v1.6.7 download
LittleTiles v1.3.0-pre9 download
I would love to get some feedback.

Can you put your mods to curse?
I'm thinking about it, maybe once i release LittleTiles for 1.10.2

it's soo massive to see what you guys create with my mod.
