Here is my idea for some pets: 1# Herobrine pet, [shift+Right Click] Summon Mobs that will fight for you. [RightClick] Gives Instant health.
2# Wither Skelton pet, Gives the Wither affect [Shift+RightClick] Summon Wither Head [RightClick] Gives a WitherHead, Cool down, 60secs
Is the wither affect being "given" with melee attacks? Like a weapon's enchantment?
And what do you mean by "summoning" a wither head? Do you mean the projectile that looks like a head? Being able to use the Wither Boss's ranged attack with a cool down of 60 seconds makes more sense than having your pet just drop wither heads into your inventory and is a lot more reasonable.
To justify an endless, easy supply of wither skeleton heads the recipe would need to be pretty extravagant.
Can you make a rainbow pet that shoots sparkling arrows (cause its a rain-bow)
To expand:
Name: Rain-bow Pet
Food: Dyes. All colors.
Effects -
Passive: If you use the cloud pet to fly while this is in your inventory, a small rainbow trail will follow you, dissipating very quickly. Consumes no pet food. Ideally solid lines that fade away, and the lasting time is relative to speed, but making that look okay in 3d is hard, and doing that in general is hard, and honestly it would only very very slightly be less cool if it was just a stack of seven redstone-shaped particles in each rainbow color.
Right-click: Consumes a random dye from your inventory every time: Shoot a sparkly arrow of the color of the consumed dye. Arrows don't quite go as far/fast as normal arrows, although only barely less, and go much further/faster than normal arrows while it is raining.
Sneak + Right-click: if you are wearing leather armor, randomize its color. If your hotbar contians stained glass, stained glass panes, stained clay, wool, or any other vanilla block available in all 16 colors, it will also randomize those. Not the dyes themselves though. Consumes no food.
The dyes are fairly balanced, because although they're cheaper than bow arrows, these arrows cannot be retrieved from the ground, and you can't enchant pets, so no infinity. Plus, it's an interesting dynamic to have a projectile that can be grown on trees. Literally. Made extra interesting since Cocoa beans are, in vanilla not really something people quest after, and making them such is cool.
Crafting recipe:
Y G B
O D I
R A V
Y - Yellow dye
G - Green dye
B - Blue dye
O - orange dye
D - Diamond
I - Indigo dye/cyan dye (since other mods are the only way to get indigo dye.)
R - Red Dye
A - Gold
V - Purple Dye
All dyes should be ore dictionaried, so that other mod options like Botania's crushed flowers and blue power's indigo plants all work.
Dungeons -
Halfed spawn rate in all dungeons except for cloud dungeon, where it is three times as likely to spawn as a normal pet.
EDIT: Come to think of it, if it's a rain-bow, it should have an effect that has something to do with the rain. Edited the above.
Hello Purplicious_Cow. I have one suggestion. Last few days i was very enjoing your mod. Here is my suggestion : what about holiday addon it will act like a separate mod,it will feature all holiday pets and items. Thats it ! P.s.Why this suggestion? Because its chaotic when i am searching versions so some pets.
there are actually several holiday themed pets, but you can only use them in the month of their respective holidays.
Yeah they are but some of them are useful and it would be good if the
pets were permanent like in addon in some sort. Because its chaotic
when i am searching versions so some pets.
new pet idea!
beacon pet
ability 1: gives random potion effect (aoe)
ability 2: gives a 10 second beacon light (cooldown)
food: blocks of gold, iron, diamond and emerald

herobrine is overrated
but the wither skeleton pet sounds nice
however it shouldn't give you skulls. too op

Ice and Fire: Dragons in a whole new light
My name is DalekCheetah, not ButterCheetah266
Otherwise, GJ =)
I wasn't sure what to do there. Will update it
I'm still having issues with forge 1.9, hoping an update fixes it. Also, I want to bring version 1.4.3 to 1.9, so it's up to date... no ETA sorry
GG
* Asriel seems happy with this.
Ok, just if it comes out soon I wanna see my language

We can add config to allow them all year. Work?
Ok, Inventory Pets 1.4.3 now available for 1.8 and 1.8.9
http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/inventory-pets/files/2294284
Heads up, we will probably skip support 1.8 going forward (only 1.7.10, 1.8.9 and something in the 1.9 range).
o.o
Why 1.8.9 support?
Once forge is out of beta for 1.9, I don't see any coherent reason to use 1.8.9 for anything anymore. Just 1.7.10 and 1.9.

Forge 1.9 is out of Beta...
I think
Yep, and I finally got it working
Yeah, could skip 1.8 altogether. Over half our users are still on 1.8.9 at the moment. We'll see how the update goes.
comet pet!
ability 1: temporary superspeed (like swiftness 7 or something) when the speed stops a minor explosion occurs (non damaging)
ability 2: summon a miniature comet projectile (similar to the ghast pet's fireballs)
crafting recipe is a stone and iron surrounding a netherstar (to make it hard to get) (comets have traces of metal)
Probably something like:
AllowHolidayPetsYearRound = false;
(by default false, you change it manually to true);
