I just thought of an idea: is it possible to change the type of food a pet eats in the config, and thus change the recipe based on that? It's good for modpack creators, and besides, there are tons of pets that eat nether quartz. >.>

Ha! We are forcing you to use the Nether Portal Pet, Magma Cube, and Cloud in the Nether and mine the ceiling!
Ok, that's a good idea. We'll have to think about how to implement.
For effects given by pets, shouldn't they give a longer effect ? For example, the ocelot give Night Vision, but it makes the sky flicker because of Minecraft, you know...
Check out the Night Vision effect in the latest version, Pyeroh_, we think it's much improved (and thanks for the suggestion).
Update from Inventory Pet dev headquarters: We will be making the Black Hole abilities toggle-able in the update, so you can turn it on and off with Right Click. The pet will have certain amount of active time available (e.g., 3 minutes), so you can choose how to spend it. Once the 3 minute pool has been used up, the pet will of course get hungry and need to eat. It's a pretty sweet feature, so thank you Jspy1 again for the suggestion.
By the way, this toggle feature will also apply to 3 other new pets. (Hmmm... I wonder what these new pets do...?!!?!? And if we told you one of them is even better than Black Hole, would you even believe us?)
Sadly, our toggle failed miserably in testing, so we pulled it out at the last minute. We will bring it back once we sort it out. So, for now, the AOE Pets give timed effects (about 30 seconds each use). Still a great idea, and still working on it
I hear of the new update and it sounds awesome. But the reason I am here is for a fix to the Cloud pet zapping away blocks that it hits. I could see it ruining stuff with a misplaced zap.
Not that I have a particular investment in the debate, but why not sun and moon pets? They'd fit in fine with the black hole and cloud pets, give the moon pet the ability to grant you invisibility at night and reduce gravity and the sun pet the ability to see invisible entities and an aura that sets zombies and skeletons on fire.
The moon pet was already done when you posted this one, Dee_Twenty. We think you are psychic and are a bit scared of you.
Do I need to hold Right Click with the Moon pet? Or is it broken? Cause I'm not seeing anything with it with items I dropped.
Just right click. Definitely not broken, and working fine by all reports, so something else is going on. Are you perhaps using the Black Hole at the same time?
Or... do you have any other mods installed that we should know about (that might be causing some kind of conflict?)

And make sure you are using version 1.3.1
I'm not using the Black Hole, nor am I out-of-date. As far as mods, oof. Lemme get a dump done and I'll edit this post with them.

Okay, thx. And we can assume he's eaten, yeah? And it works on Entities but not on Items?
Update: Also, you could remove all other mods (to a safe folder), create a new game and see if it works as expected. Then we will know for sure it's a conflict (and you can put your mods back)
Eh, Purplicious? Not that I'm not happy with the burnable coal nuggets, but did you remember to change the recipes to yield/require (coal>nuggets and nuggets>coal, respectively) eight nuggets? Because coal still makes nine nuggets when I try the recipe. Not that I mind, really, but it's a balance thing, you know?

Getting that update now.

Wasn't sure you meant by this one.

Hope you noticed anything different ... ?
FYI, you can now turn this off in the config.

Nailed it.
Let us know if you are still having the same problem in the update. We changed a little bit about how these entities render.
Ha, sweeet!

Yeah, forgot to change the recipe. We'll add it to the next update list. For now, enjoy your extra nugget
You must add in a pet that changes the weather, maybe a sun pet because of earths rotation?
next idea: add in a new set of pets that have a modded in brackets meaning they come from different mods
the blaze pet needs a level of str taken away str 2 is op
I also wanted to add an Hourglass pet that makes time go fast as you hold right-click on it.
