Each effect number refers to a customizable effect. Right now, 41 effects working. We'll make this more user-friendly so you can see the listed effects, choose a power level, etc., but the important thing is that it works, people
Will we be able to create the pet icons in game, or will we have to create it using Paint/other?
I have a idea for this epic mod. So you know how other mods have other tabs in survival like Tinkers Construct and Galacticraft well I thought that Inventory pets should have their own tab where you have 9 rows and 9 columns the 1st row would be the pet itself 2nd food for it and 3rd if it gives you a item that item goes into that slot instead like the spider and chicken because they give you eggs and string. The reason why I am suggesting this is when you have inventory pets with other mods add in backbacks, extra weapons, and useful items. Also your house has OCD modded chests your inventory can become full and your constantly having to dump it out. And you can enable and disable the tab in the config. Sure this would go against the name but technically it's still in your inventory even if it isn't the vanilla one.
If you do add this in make sure it's in 1.7.10
We agree that inventory maintenance is a pain. We're going to add a Feed Bag in the next release which would free up some inventory slots. But it would be nice to have a more elegant solution. For future consideration to have an 'on item' tab/organization system. Thanks for the suggestion.

The Loot Pet seems to be too overpowered,because as soon as you have the Loot pet and Silk Touch pickaxe, you can literally get infinite amount of ore, (get one ore and put it back down, mine it, put down, mine and put down again)
and I found a texture for End Portal Pet (I guess) in the Mod Jar File, but It seem that there are no End Portal Pet in game,
and I also find a Custom Pet texture that looks like darker version of slime pet
(and btw, sorry if someone has already mention this, and sorry for my bad English)

Thanks for the feedback, TyroFlex. We can reduce Sponge Pet radius a bit, you may be right, but it was kind of the point -- he's quite thirsty. You can turn this ability off in the config if you want (1.3.3+)
Re: the Loot Pet. Yes, that is an exploit. We'll have to fix. Thanks for bringing that to our attention.

What! You were lurking in our texture folder?! Yes, we had an End Portal pet at one point, but couldn't get it working reliably. It may make a comeback. The Custom Pet texture is part of ongoing work for Custom Pets, which are coming soon.

1. the Nether Portal Pet
are the Nether Portal ability to find nice spot is broken? I am using him in test world and I arrived to Nether on the air and I fall straight down around 50-100 block and died
2. The endermen Pet
he can take over Slime Pet's Work I see, as long as we have many obsidian nugget in inventory, he keep teleport me away from enemy when I reach 2.5 Heart without I getting damage from enemy, I run into enemy again and he do same thing, I do /kill command and I cant die since he preventing me :|
3. Heart Pet
(this might not be a good Idea) but I think its too OP having Regen 4 only with crafting him and getting some poppy ( he is more efficient than Enchanted Gold Apple) maybe rebalance it with making the Crafting recipe more expensive (or the food)
4.Pingot Pet
pls increase the detection range every time I use it I found it first it can only detect ore around 3-4 block away from the ore
5. The Banana Pet
this pet sometime glitching when it landed in a water, it doesn't come back, first time this happen I think its only a glitch but then it happen again and I try to see the glitch so I use water breathing and I wait the pet to land in water and then it disappear but don't come back to my inventory pls fix it

Thanks for the feedback, TyroFlex. You make some good points around game balance, which we are always looking to improve.
1. NetherPortal Pet, we'll look into some more. We did extensive testing on this one last release, but it looks like this problem still happens. We have put more coding time into this and the Pingot than any other Pet
2. Enderman Pet - we'll take a look. Maybe a longer cooldown would make sense here.
3. Heart Pet - we'll play around with this one. We suspect you may be right.
4. Pingot - oh, the poor Pingot. Yes, can increase his range.
5. Banana Pet - It should never completely disappear. For the record, it goes through water, and keeps going until it hits a solid block. So it can take some time to return. We can test.
There is a new config option "Pets eat whole items" that makes feeding all pets harder (e.g., the Heart Pet requires a Redstone Light).
That is intended behavior. No need for a video and thanks for checking!

the banana pet pretty much one shot every kind of mobs under 20 health (10 heart) (except Zombie, it deal 18 damage) welp, the banana is pretty strong tho It deal same damage of Power 5 Bow (except when battling Ender Dragon)
is the banana pet indeed made to deal damage that massive?

and after I try to deflect / punch the Fireball back to the ghast... the Fireball disappear completely

Yeah, the Ghast Fireball gets really weird with the Black Hole. We are OK with it (frankly not much we can do).
the cow pet supposed to remove all negative effect, but It also remove "Night Vision" effect (which I think is good )
and The Cow Pet have an ability to fill empty bucket with milk, but If we stack the empty bucket (ex : 16 empty bucket in one slot) it ended filling 16 bucket instead of 1 bucket ( Is the cow pet created to be able to fill more than 1 bucket at same time?
2. Brewing Stand Pet
there are no problem with him but maybe add a cooldown to him? I think there are no chance of getting bad potion (except the splash one) and he is easy to be crafted and he can brew hundred of good potion per minute :| he can brew a total of 6 large chest full of good potion in one minute :| (around 325 potion per minute, That is a lot o_o)... so pls recondiser on adding cooldown between potion that he brew (1 - 2 sec of cooldown is more than enough )
3. Creeper Pet
same as the Brewing Stand Pet, try to give him a cooldown, as the explosion is same as TNT, its lethal and destructive (even tho I think there are option to disable his ability) :| (it can one hit kill most of vanilla mob)
4. Cloud Pet
( you may not agree with this suggestion) I know he is legendary, the Lightning is very lethal trough, so the player can spam the lightning as he eat instantly if there are a food for him, maybe give him a eating time (like cooldown while the pet eat) to prevent spam of the lightning ( or maybe the Cloud Pet is made and indeed have ability to be able to spam lightning?? I don't have too much problem with the lightning tho..
5.Magma cube pet
well he working good but If you jump right before you walk on lava, instead of walking on lava, you Float above the lava, this is actually not a big problem, but if it can be fixd then its better
6. Purplicious Cow Pet
hey its you the pet do same thing like cow pet, instead of filling 1 bucket, it fills every bucket in one inventory slot ( is he really planned to have the ability to fill more than 1 bucket at a time or this is only a bug? )
7. Jukebox pet
just a small problem, the song doesn't stop when I remove the pet from my hotbar + inventory :|
8. Mooshroom Pet
same thing happen, he fill 64 bowl at one time :| I guess all type of cow looking pet are having some problem :|
I have a pet suggestion
it like the moon pet but instead of reversing gravity of entity
it reverse gravity of flowing water and lava
it maybe hard to make but it will be cool
And I have an Idea for pet mechanism, add level system for the pet everytime the player use or feed the pet, the pet get certain number of xp point, and the higher the pet level, the ability is become more stonger, this is maybe a good way to make pet with strong and destructive power more balanced
::Fact About Pets::
Every pets can be fixed/fed using the Duct Tape from orespawn (i think its from orespawn) since the pet count as an item with damaged durability, they can be fed with Duct Tape XD

Ha ha :), well, we were thinking of 5 being the max for the power level. 5 is pretty strong as is.
For the first release, you'll have to use a program like Paint, yes. We'd like to do an in-game texture editor, but this will take a bit of time.
However, we will provide templates which you can edit to your heart's content, and set the animation speed.

2. will the feed bag also be put in 1.8 as well as 1.7.10 when released for the first time?
