To specify what I have experienced: I had the Enderman pet in the nether, and whenever I would get low on health I would end up teleporting above the nether to the bedrock layer. I was able to get out of the bedrock layer via other fixes, but in case this is not supposed to happen I wanted to report this.
Hope I'm doing this right! Kinda a first timer when it comes to reporting bugs.
Hey mate, just got the 1.12 update, works great except for one thing. The iron nugget is already in minecraft and is creating some recipe problems within the game.

Thanks for the heads up. I will remove the recipe in an update, and update the in game recipes.
Is it possible that you could add a config file for the illuminati pet to ban certain items? For example, in extra-utilities there are unstable ingots. IF you are lucky, you get the stable one, if you're unlucky, you get the unstable one. Would it perhaps be possible to make a configuration file to disable certain drops from it, other than items that aren't craftable. I'm using a hardcore world, and I set up an AFK machine for my illuminati pet, if I hadn't filled up my inventory, then my world would of been gone. I got an unstable ingot, so yeah.
There's already an Illuminati Blacklist... do you not see a .JSON file in the config directory? (called illuminati_blacklist.json)
Seeing how I've gotten "Petologist" multiple times I'd say there's definitely an urge to collect them all. So I'd say the first idea is probably more accurate.

I really like this mod, I really do. It's cute, powerful, and most importantly, accessible and simplistic. However, I really wish you could make a Discord server, as you can become more active with your fans there. As it stands right now, we only have the Forums, Curse, and that's it, really.

If it isn't fixed, fix it. If it's fixed, don't break it.
Finally came up with a good pet suggestion! (May resemble a Gravity Gun, but with an Inventory Pets twist.)
Name: Magic Wand Pet
Appearance: A magic wand with golden smiling face as the top cap and an Ender Pearl as the bottom cap.
Recipe:
Gold Nugget, Gold Nugget, Gold Nugget
Stick, Diamond, Stick
Stick, Ender Pearl, Stick
Food: Ender Nuggets (one eaten every time something is picked up)
Abilities: Use-click grabs an entity in the world at a distance and holds them at an equal distance in front of you. Mobs, dropped items, and even players can be held this way. Sneak-use-click does the same, but for blocks instead (if tile data containing blocks are allowed they should cost extra to do so). While holding something sneak-use-click simply drops it, use-click throws it, and attack-click throws it forcefully enough to cause damage with whatever it hits (block damage may be optional as well). Thrown or dropped blocks are placed where they land. Held creatures are not prevented from acting if they can so act fast!
(This can be counted as a fan or Youtuber suggested pet since I'm happily both.)

Super interesting idea in here. Kind of reminds me of Jedi Knight, where you can force choke / throw enemies
I'm going to suggest a pet of my own ideal interests, but it's going to be Minecraft-related.
Name: Tome Pet
Appearance: Like a Minecraft book, but with the iconic derp face and a mixed Purple/Cyan tint
Recipe:
Leather, Paper, Leather
Leather, Enchantment Table, Leather
Leather, Paper, Leather
Food: Other Books (It's a cannibal!)
Durability: 10/10
Abilities: When held, it will occasionally spit out sugar cane, which I believe is the digested version of books. If right clicked, it will spit out a magic tome, a projectile with the Enchanting Particles that, when hitting an enemy, will inflict the "Busy" debuff, making them immobile while doubling their attack. When the projectile hits the ground, it will enchant it for 10 seconds, and standing on it enchants you, making you regenerate half a heart once per 2 seconds. Due to the abilities listed above, I had to make the recipe resemble a book with an actual enchantment table, making the recipe quite expensive. It's worth it, trust me!

I looked back a couple of pages and couldn't find anyone mentioning this, and wonder if you're aware? I used the Nether Portal pet to teleport to the nether, and everything was fine, but when teleporting back, I lost all my experience, back to level 0. Very strange. Is that intentional?
Edit: So, playing around a bit after I had come back from the nether, and my experience returned. I'm pretty sure it's when I grabbed a single piece of XP from mining some coal that it went back to normal. Still, very odd.

That's a thing that happens to me on occasion. I don't know exactly what causes it, but your XP is still there, it just doesn't show up on your toolbar. Getting more XP refreshes it.
Lower
Ooh good one.
Yeah, you normally place them on our github. I've put it there: https://github.com/capnkirok/Inventory-Pets/issues/195
Thank you for your response!
Right now The Heart Pet doesn't seem to be eating.
When does this pet eat? When it's at 0/4? And I Have Hardcore eating on where pets need whole items....does this effect the Heart Pet?
Come over and check out Wulf Hollow Server!

Looks like a bug. It's supposed to eat Brewing Stands, but it doesn't appear to do anything. Have added to the list: https://github.com/capnkirok/Inventory-Pets/issues/196

Already fixed in the development environment. We'll update again once we see a few more bugs.

THEY'RE LIKE TOMAGACHIS THAT GIVE YOU SUPERPOWERS
Or Pokemon that are actually useful?
Or living powerups?

Another good one, thanks!
Is there a reason the pet recipes don't show in the recipe book? Am I doing something wrong?
Maybe there's no JSON script for it yet? He did just recently update to 1.12+. Does JEI work?
