I have a question, will you ever update it to run on the Minecraft version 1.10.2? This is very important to me because I really REALLY want to install it so I can mess with the dog breeds. <3 Finally. Thank you!

Are you Looking for a server to play on that brings mods that introduces magic weapons customization to your gear claim land form guilds/clans/bandits/witchhunter/ become a witch or vampire
Are there any guidelines for using this mod in a Let's Play?
I'm about to start one, and I would love to use DoggyStyle in the modpack. I may take donations for the series, but of course I wouldn't be selling the mod itself or anything, and I would always give credit.
Support + I'd like to see improved characteristics/multipliers/maybe even an XP level. At least improved statistics so if you bred two dogs and one had 7 health and the other had 13 health, the puppy's health would range from 8-14. This would encourage breeding in order to improve stats.
You could add an XP system in too, maybe, that could increase stats as the dog leveled up. Also, the higher the XP level, the higher the puppy's base stats would be. Again, this would encourage training/breeding. This would be more difficult than just adding random stats/a breeding stat increase, though.
These are definitely things we've wanted to do for a while.
Does this mod replace wolves? It's a little weird to have wolves and dogs, that work differently.
It does not replace wolves. They also work differently from cows, chickens, creepers, villagers, etc. and it doesn't replace any of those either. I don't personally think that's weird at all. I haven't checked, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a mod that let you selectively disable vanilla mobs from spawning, if it really bothers you.
For everyone who asked a question related to the config, as long as you've played the mod once, inside your config folder (which sits inside your Minecraft folder, just like the mods folder does) there's a file called tgvstyle.cfg and you should be able to open that in any text editor and modify things as you like. For example, if dogs spawn too often, find the line that says I:spawnChance=8 and change 8 to something lower, like 5 or 6. (Or 0 if you want dogs never to naturally spawn). This doesn't affect hydrants. You can also change I:spawnMax to 1 if you don't want groups of dogs spawning together.
Guys, exciting news! In addition to DoggyStyle, the Style mod now encompasses a new sub-mod called TravelInStyle! It adds one new item and one new block.
The block is called a Waypoint. You craft it with a diamond in the middle, gold nuggets in the corners, and obsidian everywhere else. Then you place it in the world and you'll be prompted to give it a name.
The item is called a Teleporter. You craft it with an ender pearl in the middle, a diamond to the left and right, redstone above and below, and obisidian in the corners. When you right click a Waypoint with the Teleporter, it will "memorize" that Waypoint. Then you can use the Teleporter again to return to any of the Waypoints it has memorized, at any time.
You can turn both of these things off by editing the config file tgvstyle.cfg and, under the travelinstyle section, setting B:enabled=false.
We're working on buliding a Wiki to house all the mod information, as it's getting to be a bit too much to navigate on the forum post, so look for that coming soon!

KittyStyle will require a lot of models, coding, and most importantly our time. To enjoy modeling and coding for free we release content that we enjoy making. We saw a need for a teleport mod that wasn't too over powered, but works correctly.
Hello, GoldVane! I got a question! Are all the modifications/updates, that you are adding to the latest version of the mod (1.8.x), be added to the latest mod version of 1.7.10? Or, the last 1.7.10 version will be the last one?
*English is not my first language, so I want to apologize in advanced :/
I wish, I was one of the people who said, "THIS IS AWESOME!". but, I have a problem. I'm using 1.8.9 and I wasted ALL my cooked beefs. Just to find out. That having puppies DON'T WORK! I've been waiting for half an hour.................................Sorry, Other than that. I love the mod!
If you have two adult dogs of the same breed but different genders and feed them both meat, it should work. I just double-checked. The mother needs to have a dog house. Follow mode works best, roam should also work I think. Stay mode might not.
HEY GUYS! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS MOD FOR 1.8.9!
By the way, is there a special way you make a doggy lie down on 1.8.9?
I checked, there's no button in the doggy "Command Center" (I do not know what else to call is.)
Any suggestions?
THANKS!

They will sometimes lie down in roam mode, but there's not a specific way to make them. I felt it was redundant with stay mode there but if people want the option I can always add it back in.

I'm not planning on back-porting any features to the older editions. Trying to keep two codebases in sync is honestly just a huge hassle.
Both of the corgi breeds are available in this mod, but only the short tailed variety is listed in the spoiler. The models come in different colors so it wouldn't look like copies of the same models. The blue marle is such a beautiful skin, one of if not the prettiest in the mod, so it's really disappointing to not see it being shown off.

Corgi mode was the first model I've ever made, and I own 3 Pembrokes myself.
Right now we are focused on getting a wiki page up for everyone to use as reference! We have so much to add a simple front page won't be able to contain it all : )
There seems to be an issue with owning multiple dogs and death: In the 1.7.10 version of the mod, another player in a LAN game had two dogs tamed, both with dog houses and one died. On death it did not spawn back in the dog house, it just died. Its death was due to it jumping in front of the player and getting hit, so it was a player that killed it. Not sure if that is taken into account, but if players can accidentally kill their own dogs for good, that is a bug that needs to be fixed.
It's very easy to hit pets in combat and friendly fire should be turned off for pets.
Will you consider 1.8.9-1.8.8? Please, i'd appreciate it!
Oh, then no 1.8.9-1.8.8, ok, i understand...:steve_tearful::(:melting:

There is now a beta release for 1.8.9, available on CurseForge.
Do it!

does that mean you could add cats?
We all ready have a pit like breed under the name American Staffordshire Terrier.
Other bigger dogs I will consider, but at the moment we have a pretty full list of dogs all ready.
I do love smush faced dogs, maybe in the future. I had a prototype i was working on it's just hard to do that smush face justice.
Right now there is no other traits for 1.7.10. We will be adding stuff in the future for sure but it will only be in updated versions.
Styles will come as it comes, I'm working on fluffy dogs but it's hard to do without making them look super blocky!
Awe! It's hard because there are SO many versions coming out so fast. I hope soon we will catch up while providing new content.
