Where do they spawn? Is it just in the biomes wolves spawn or what? This seems like information that should be included in the OP...
I'm assuming they will spawn into existing worlds too, havnt found any yet though.
a. Where do they spawn? Usually everywhere. I created a default world and saw dogs everywhere. They're like in every chunk. But I guess TheGoldVane will add configurations later in the future. I'm gonna ask them in Twitter.
b. I don't know if they spawn in existing worlds, haven't found any dogs in my old testing world.

I just found this mod, and so far, I really like it!
First of all I want to say that I love the way the Beagles, Chihuahuas, Pembroke Welsh Corgis, and the Siberian Huskies look, they are very well done and they are the most realistic looking Minecraft dogs I have seen, love the different color too.
I also love the others except for one thing, the scaling on the dogs is a little big..
The Great Dane and Saint Bernard are as tall as a human, and taller than a cow, and the others, (Lab, GSD, Dobie, Dalmatian) are almost as tall as humans and cows.. I love the models themselves but the scale, and the neck length on the dogs is a little much.
I got photos of these dogs beside a person in real life to show you what I mean as far as scaling, hope this will help.
I do hope that nobody takes offense to this, I am just trying to point this out to you.

I've just a question, what is the purpose of the "Dog Whistle" cause you can open the GUI without it in your hand ?
The dog whistle will have future implementations within the mod. Right now it is there so you don't have to keep a space free in order to command your dog. When I'm running around mining, collecting, and monster killing there is nothing more annoying than trying to keep a spot free.
While people are reporting bugs where and there we have addressed most of the issues. The mod was only released 4 days a go so there was bound to be a few things going wrong. We will be releasing new content!
As of now the mod is working and ready for you to enjoy! Download and have fun!
Great mod, my players love the dogs. But the spawning is taking over things.
Could you do a config please with an option to turn off your world gen spawning?
That way we could use JAS to spawn the dogs in biomes, or, as I intend to do, have traders selling the breed specific spawn eggs in the markets we have in villages?
Zeus does all the java work on the mod. He is in the tail end of moving and should be settled in tonight, maybe tomorrow. I brought it to his attention and he will have a reply for you ASAP!

I quite like this mod in my singleplayer world, but on my forge server I am unable to find any dogs nor place a doghouse after I have crafted one. Is there a method of how to fix said problems?
I am now working on shortening the dogs necks that are piratically long. I have always have a feeling that they where kind of long but I ignored it. When you look at something for so long you stop seeing things correctly.
I'm playing with my brother on a LAN hardcore world. Everytime I try to SPAWN a dog in, I crash, and cannot connect to the server. It always kicks me with "Disconnected from server". My brother has to kill the dog in order for me to log back in.
Also, if I was in creative when I spawned the dog, when I relogged, it made me go into survival. Any help?

Thanks! I've fixed all the long necks in the mod ATM and as soon as Zeus's computer is fixed we will upload the new models. I also added a few coat colors!

You guys should totally add a miniature schnauzer !!
Mine is named Cloudy and hes kind of a special one, as he is white and brown colored instead of the usual salt n pepper colors.
This is much better than copious dogs mod. Much more simple. Great job
One tip: make the necks shorter.
