We have another new structure! This one is Norse-inspired. We aren't revealing the purpose yet, but what do you think it could be for?
Looks like a mead hall. Getting our first F/A booze? I'd be happy to find an ancient bottle of mead and maybe some kegs. Nothing like drinking to the discovery of an ancient Nordic ruin.

No release date is given because it causes problems when it's not released on the date it's supposed to. But don't worry it shouldn't be too long before it updates, getting there.
Off topic but did anyone read the article about geologists figuring out what caused the Permian mass extinction (if anyone was wondering, it was the worst mass extinction on record and it killed off 95% of life on Earth. Including all of the Cambrian fauna).

yeah the permian was so bad it was the only mass extinction of insect life, and insects are hard to take down due to how much they reproduce. It was the result of a tremendous volcanic eruption that originated in siberea and is basically why the Ring of Fire even exists if I'm not mistaken.

Actually I have just read the article, it wasn't much of an eruption considering that it ended up spreading beneath the surface where it ended up igniting large coal deposits that released tones of Methane, Carbon Dioxide, and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, so much gases were released in fact that caused the suffocation of most life on the surface and acidified the Oceans significantly.

The Ring of Fire is actually the region bordering the Pacific Ocean, completely unrelated to the Permian Extnction.

Not much of an eruption?! Not much of an Eruption!? I would say that turning the entirety of Siberia into an active Volcano is a pretty massive eruption.

All that was the result of the eruption, mind you. It was ultimately implied by my statement.
Well true. Actually what's would be a good idea is in the Permian environment you can gain a suffocating effect from the greenhouse gases underground when you pass an underground sill. However when you dig it up you stop the production of greenhouse gases from the metamorphic rocks. As what happened was the heat from the sills caused the sedimentary rocks to go under metamorphosis which forces the gases to be pushed out. Which introduces three rocks, Permian Desert sandstone as the base rock found in the biome. Marble as the Pemian metamorphic rock of sandstone, the rock that produces the gas. Mining it will stop the gas. And the last, this is a guess, Permian Sill basalt, the sill rock.
Another suggestion, for the cretaceous and Tertiary biomes. If they spawn next together then between the two biomes will contain iridium. A new block of iridium or iridium ore as in New Mexico the cretaceous rocks and Tertiary rocks are separated by a layer of Imodium between them. Supporting the idea of a mass extinction and a meteorite strike. Okay th a last part of the meteorite strike I'm not sure but it's been a long time I studied this in geology.
Hope people like
There is actually a giant crater just offshore of the Yucatan peninsula that is carbon-dated to around 65 mya. Whether it caused the mass extinction or not is up for heavy debate.

None of our new structures are decorated inside yet.
About that Norse structure. Chance it'll be a mead hall? We haven't had anything like that in this mod.

The funny thing is that if the meteor that killed off the dinosaurs had collided with Earth as little as 30 seconds early or late would have changed the entire course of history. Same goes for the Permian Extinction and if it had happened in a different spot then history would have been changed forever.
One tiny sliver of comfort in all the damage we cause to the planet is that no matter what we do, the insects will endure. You just have to like them for being even harder to kill than us.
That is actually a pretty big reason the reason most of the world hates insects.
Now-I do not by any means know the programming behind this mod, and you guys do an amazing job with it and I really appreciate the work you put in to it.
But, with that said, it there any way that you could make the updates seemless in that when you update, less items and mobs would disappear from the world so you wouldn't have to create a new one each time the mod updates? Otherwise, it seems kind of pointless to really invest and put a lot of time into a world.

A ) Our updates come out slow enough that you shouldn't have to worry about having to jump ship on worlds all the time.
B ) There isn't a way to make "seemless" updates. When you go between versions, things WILL break. You can't avoid it.

Is there a date that the update is going to be released or is it still not determined yet?
Okay then.

There was an edgy statement on "skeletons and zombies being undead humans" but I erased it lol

This isn't necessarily a bad argument, its a good argument as long as a conclusion can be reached. Don't be ashamed
