I really enjoy the lucky block mod, and I've created some customized drops for 1.8 (and since new drops are always awesome, I decided to share it). =)
There are about 200 or so new drops and about 50 modified default drops... lots of new things. =)
I also added some worldgen (also through Loot++) so you may find some spiral lucky blocks randomly in your world.... I tried to make them spawn at about the same rate as the regular lucky blocks by default.
Spoiler (click to hide)
There are normal spiral blocks, as well as "lucky" and "unlucky" structures.
If you want to get rid of or modify the world generation, go into the zipped addon and look in theconfig/world_gen/surface.txt file. To see what all of those options mean, look in the Loot++ config, in your config folder at Loot++/world_gen.cfg.
You can delete the surface.txt file if you don't want any world gen at all.
And here's the crafting recipe:
And a few screenshots of the drops:
Beware the Slime King in his Castle!
Open some Giant Spiral Lucky Blocks!
Gingerbread House
Red Dragon Dungeon (This dragon is kinda evil!)
Ice Jar
Spiral Dungeon. Complete with a boss and a hidden room...
And here's a preview of the boss...
Lucky Tower (A procedurally generated dungeon with a random height, which creates itself as you move up)
Turn the world into candy!
Astral Creepers raining from the sky. Don't worry, they aren't as scary as they look. =)
Grim has a new outfit...
And Bob seems to have found himself a new sword...
Chest Pedestals
Spiral Towers
And if you're super lucky... you might even find some custom-created Super Lucky armour, weapons, and tools.
True, true. With your blocks anyway. Yeah, they give it the ability to display armor and even weapons but then took it's AI.
Oh well, what can we do?
Anyway, if you want, check my thread in a bit, I'm in the final testing phase for my modded version of OMEGA.
Very cool. =)
Unfortunately, I can't try it out; this little laptop is too slow to run any mods more intensive than lucky blocks (it runs vanilla at about 5 fps... optifine helps a bit but not enough; I've had to put almost all of my mods on hold =( ). I sure hope I get my good computer back soon...
I hope it goes well for your new version though. =)
I've added a bunch of new drops, including a new lucky tower! It generates itself as you explore... you might get lucky, or you might be killed. =)
Also, the format of the download changed, because addon support was added to the mod! (Yay!) So now you can just drag the download into the addons/lucky_block folder in your minecraft folder. Make sure you have the new lucky blocks version 6.0.0.
Hi i am working on my code because I found it very neat. In normal minecraft I am pretty good at commands is there anyway to just copy and paste my command for my lucky block mod. by the way great mod!

There actually is a way to run a command when the lucky block breaks. I believe it's something like:
Congratulations on getting reviewed by PopularMMOs
Yeah, I saw it. =) It's too bad that there are so few mods in 1.8 though; it may be hard for him to find something to fight with these in the challenge games. =P
By the way, could you help me figure out the 3-D-ness of the block in 1.8? I liked your model and want to make my Omega model 3-D.
Let's just say... it took a while to do... =P
You can look up how to make 1.8 block models. You have to add faces or "cubes" to the block model and specify the dimensions, position, texture, and which face of the cube it corresponds to (which will make it not render when that face doesn't render).
You may have trouble with the omega blocks, since it would take more cubes. There's a limit to how many you can add onto the block, and I just about reached it with these.

And that's about it! Enjoy the add-on!
You can also check out this resource pack that gives the original lucky block a 3D model like these spiral ones:

Check out the 1.7 version of the addon here!
Speedy Super Lucky Boots... like my Omega Boots?
How did you make structures? That's the one thing I wanted to try and make.
Oh neat, hadn't seen your addon. =) Yeah, it looks like we had a lot of similar ideas. Not quite as OP though... =P
I did the structures with /setblock and /fill commands. Let's just say they are very long entries...
PlayerInDistress is going to add structure support in the next update though, so I haven't done too many structures yet.
I love how everyone is referencing PopularMMOs in these addons. =)
oh cool. well i'll give it a try, since currently all i have different in my 1.8 version is killer rabbit and the removal of the giant
and yeah, he's the reason we're all still making them, i believe!
Ah. =) I didn't even remove the giant. Instead I gave it something like 64 rotten flesh as a drop.
It may not have any AI anymore (*sigh* why would they remove it?), but it's an interesting food source if you're starving I guess.

type=command, ID="/give @a diamond"
Do you need the LuckyBlock mod to use this? Or can I have this one instead?
You do need the lucky block mod as well.
Love the 3d textures! By far one of my favorite Lucky Block addons!

I'm glad you like it. =)
u should change the "spiral sword" into an actual sword BC its just a spiral block and it
makes no sense
No problem! =)
Congratulations on getting reviewed by PopularMMOs:
lol. Hey, maybe the edges of the block are sharp. =P It does have 3 more attack damage than a diamond sword, so it actually is a legitimate weapon.
Yeah, I saw it. =) It's too bad that there are so few mods in 1.8 though; it may be hard for him to find something to fight with these in the challenge games. =P
