Loving the mod man. Awesome job. Quick question. Can you make it so the portable cell charges armor too? Or was that an intentional exception? Once again great job keep up the good work. Had to add Practicalities to Infinity on my server because I couldn't live without it and when I saw you had another one out I had to jump on it
Thanks for the quick response. That's kinda how I figured it was. I have nothing but respect for all the mod authors out there especially ones like you who are really trying to add and improve to the game not just make as much content as possible and just throw it out there. Just thought I'd give you a shout to show there are people out here who love and appreciate what you do. We are just quieter than the haters because we are busy making the most of what you offer the community. Like I said in my original post thanks so much and keep it up
quite seriously EXACTLY what i was looking for, a mod that lets me wirelessly transmit power and nothing else
everyone talks about Tesseracts like they're the best thing ever, and ya they kinda are, but to get them you have to get all this other stuff you might not want (Thermal Expansion is WAY too complex for my tastes)
this mod does everything i wanted and more (the batteries are icing on the cake)
now if only i could find a mod that adds a Grinder and ONLY a grinder....
the Quantum entangler (the wireless Transmitter) Recipe is HELLISHLY expensive
to get one you need a tier 5 battery, which takes 4 T4, which each take 4 T3, which each take 4 T2, which each take 4 T1.
to put it in plain numbers, that 256 T1s to make a T5 each of which takes:
1544 gold (roughly, the component made with it is made 2 at time, but costs 3 of said component to make a battery)
768 steel (which if you make with this mod's recipe will cost you 768 iron and 3072 coal)
256 diamonds
128 nether quartz
128+ redstone
and thats just for the batteries themselves, not counting the amplification crystals each of which will cost you a Diamond
you need 179 of them by the way
then there's the ZBQs. which cost a Block Of Diamond, 2 Blocks of Gold, 2 Blocks of Lapis, and 4 Blocks of redstone
now you could argue "its meant to be endgame," but this is WAY PAST endgame and ventures into ludicrous territory IMO
simply lowering it down to costing a T4 battery and leaving all else as-is would reduce that cost to a much more reasonable level ( a T4 costs 64 T1s, so just divide everything i calculated above by 4 and you get the idea)
TL:DR- 471 diamonds and literally THOUSANDS of Gold, Iron, and Coal is way over the top for one block
I would have to agree. It is kinda ridiculous. But on the other hand once you get one its soooo worth it. The convenience is unparalleled. The receivers are reasonably priced and very useful. And the Qubit Cell might just be the best thing I have ever seen. Yeah your draconic capacitor holds 250 million Rf but mine has full access to my entire power generation. Which with this mod could be infinite by itself. Although a way to combine ZPEs similar to solars might be a nice convenience as well. If not no biggie just an idea.
1. Very useful. up to now wireless RF transmission was impossible without Thermal Expansion, which is a very large mod that adds a great many things i dont want.
2. I'd consider it mid-game. All it really adds is wireless RF transmission and a weak (though admittedly free) generator. as such the EXTREME high cost for some of the components is a bit over the top
3. This mod is amazing, exactly what i was looking for. Seems stable so far, no crashes that could be attributed to this mod.
4. The costs! SERIOUSLY over-priced for what it does.
Hey everyone! I have a release candidate build (1.2.0-rc1) for those who are interested in trying it out. Get it here
This is a release candidate and as such I expect it to be stable enough to play with, but use at your own risk. Backup your world before upgrading and if you find any problems big or small please let me know here or in the Issue tracker
I like pancakes. I like QuantumFlux. I like WirelessRF. You deserve some pancakes. (if you don't like pancakes, noooo!!!!)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If I helped you in any way or agree in my ideas or posts, make sure you click that green arrow pointing up below my post or simply huggle me! I use 1.7.10 (Modded), so when I comment that I like a 1.8 mod, I will comment to downgrade to 1.7.10. I support no pics, no clicks. Suggestions that I think that are the best deserves a banner!
It is almost time to say goodbye to 1.7.10 because of the recent surge of big 1.9 mods.
Why MCreator sucks: jcm2606's file (doesn't open a new tab) He allows/welcomes anyone to link the file, so I put it here in my signature for people to know how MCreator functions. I thank jcm2606 (he's awesome) for creating the document/file and I'm just here to spread the word.

It was an oversight, and it will be fixed in the next update. Thanks for the kind words

In the interest of always making things more awesome, I am looking for candid and honest feedback from those who have used this mod extensively.
1. How useful is this to you?
2. Do you consider this early, mid, or end game?
3. What has your overall experience been? Has it been stable?
4. What one thing would you change?
Thanks!

In a video you said that you need to get your texture artist to do the textures. who is it?
I work with CyanideX. He has been busy thouh, and the new ones will comein due time

500+ huggles? U wot, m8?
1.2.0 is hot off the build server! Changelog and download available in the original post. For those who car I have uploaded a developer build as well.
Thanks I will end up making it compatible with microblocks. I think it is the best way to go.
compatible, or dependent?
and that is why I haven't done it yet
PLEASE dont make it dependent, i'd have to stop using QF if it were dependent on microblocks
Any plans to implement item/fluid routing on top of RF? Think of the cables that could be saved!
I have thought about it. I want to work through the mechanics first
