Definately love the waypoint feature and the radar type idea so that you actually can see where the baddies are. Or the general direction at least.

Would love to see a signpost feature being added, so that you could name towns, bases or area's of your choice. These should not have the waypoint feature of teleporting to them or being visual on either the main screen, just the map. Perhaps with logo's that could be chosen? Logo's like a house, cave, landscape, etc. Would likely add a extra style to the mod and game!

I actually wanted to do something like this but it wasn't possible before. Now it is in the beta, thanks for reminding me

It never loads more than a certain amount of chunks. Everything else gets unloaded. It's probably a MC bug which didn't occur after you restarted but not because you removed the minimap.

Even though I highly doubt it, I could be wrong so I'll test this myself.

All the keybinds are configurable in Minecraft's own controls settings.

One thing though, your current dowload link gave me some problems: It lead me to a page with 4 indistinguishable download buttons and I didn't find the correct one at first, instead some "download manager" was downloaded and my virus scanner reported that file as critical.

It was probably an ad. They are pretty obvious though.

Waypoints are stored in your ".minecraft" folder in the "xaerominimap.txt" file. Take a look, maybe you'll see what's happening.

That's odd. The .minecraft folder was set as read-only. Hopefully that's the reason why. If not, then you'll need to look into it because i'm no modder.

That's probably why it happened. Change it and it should work.
