So I've been using this map for quite some time. I recently started playing Life in the Woods and use the latest 1.7.10 Version of this mod in there - worked perfectly fine until a few days ago when the map stopped updating - like in updating if I was underground or not, or I built stuff and it wouldn't show up on the map...
This bug was solved, when I either relogged or when I went to the options disabled flowers an enabled flowers again - then everything was suddenly alright again.
Any ideas?
Are you sure you use the latest mod version? Do you have any error output in the client logs?
Okay, so really weird issue I've been having with this mini-map mod.
1. Trap doors are easily opened by the naked hand, but if I have an item, like a sword (i.e.), I have to double or triple click to open it to go down a ladder. Sometimes it does not even open the trap door if I have a specific item in my hand.
2. When I was trying to make a ladder in the crafting table, as soon as I would shift-click on the finished ladders to put them into my inventory, the game would crash. (This has happened roughly 4 times to the point where I thought it was Optifine, so I deleted it, and it turns out to be the mini-map mod.)
Keep in mind, I am playing on a server, but I hardly doubt they have any rules against mods.
Hope you can fix this! It's a really great mod cause I used it years ago, but it has such a weird issue now.

What makes you think that it's the minimap doing it? Removing Optifine and seeing the issue continue doesn't prove anything. You had to do the complete opposite: remove the minimap and see the issue disappear. Please do this and write back.
Yup very sure and no - no errors on the client - basically the client of Life in the woods Renaissance doesn't seem to output ANY error even if the game crashes ^^;
So yeah I have no idea why it is like that. It doesn't actually disturb the gameplay - it's more a cosmetical thing I think ^^
Can you go in the .minecraft folder (or another directory the client uses), go to the "logs" folder and check the log file of the time when the issue was happening? Appreciate your help.
It's actually a huge problem even if it doesn't disturb the gameplay
Update (11:34 AM): Half of my villagers in my creative world are now pink ... do you think this has to do with my forgemod? I haven't played moded Minecraft in years. lol.
I removed the mini-map mod from the folder and put back Optifine. I got the same problems, except this time when I would open chests, they would close back again instead of staying open.

Nope, this isn't my mod. Check out Xaero's World Map though.
* Fixed the game crashing on startup when old and new waypoint formats are conflicting.
* Fixed unselecting waypoints with the right mouse button in the waypoints menu.
* Other minor fixes.
Had to reinstall minecraft to fix an issue I was having. Can someone tell me where to find info on getting my waypoints back? I have the map working and my saves are ok, but I cant get the waypoints to show up in game. I saved the waypoints file and moved it over but not showing in game.
Update: I got it to work with 1.11 by moving over a backup file still not working with my original world that I kept at 1.8.8

Check if you have accidently disabled them in the settings with a key toggle.
I found a forge log that contains some line concerning the minimap I don't know if that helps

Going through that log made me realize that I apparently do NOT have the latest version ._. I will update and see what happens - if the error still occurs then I will let you know. Maybe the log is useful nevertheless
I was so worried xD
Let me know if the problem is fixed in the latest version. I remember fixing a similar issue.
No, in game waypoints is completely empty. They do not show up anywhere. I copied my saved waypoints text file into the minecraft config folder. Is there somewhere I need to copy it for the game to read them?
Only other option is to travel the map looking for all my bases and mines. That's gonna take a while. Can't even remember where everything is nevermind the nether too.
Thanks for all the help. Love this mod. Makes the game way better!!

Ummm, there is now a completely new waypoint saving system. You can still load old files but you will have to remove the new mods/XaeroWaypoints folder and only then the mod will know to load from the config folder. Then it will resave everything to the new folder and rename the old text file to .txt.backup to know not to read.
Ok so I have two profiles that I use so I can keep different worlds at different versions. And that backup file I saved and transferred over on the one profile and it worked fine. There was no backup file for the other profile to save and transfer over.
1.11 minimap version it is the way you described. On the profile that uses 1.8.9 minimap version it does not have that back up folder.
Did as you suggested and removed waypoint files. Booted game and set a waypoint. A new waypoint file was generated so I copy and pasted into the new file. Old waypoints still not in game just the new one that I made to generate the new file.
Let me know if you can think of anything else. Thanks!
Found them in game. I didn't realize all worlds waypoints are available in all the waypoint menu. None of the waypoints there are the ones for the world I loaded but I will figure it out through trial and error.

Thanks for your patience.
All profiles use the same minecraft folder and the same waypoint files. So I don't understand what you meant by 1.8.9 not having the backup folder and 1.11 having it.
I have 2 separate minecraft folders. One is for a world I have that I kept as the 1.8 version of minecraft and one is always updated to the latest version. I forget why it is like that but I remember finding the instructions to do so online somewhere. I think it is so I can have different versions of Forge.
Are you sure you use the latest mod version? Do you have any error output in the client logs?

It means that the minimap mod has nothing to do with this, so I can't help you.
You should report the crash to the Forge team.

Okay, I'm kinda noob to the whole Minecraft life again, so could you direct me with a link, please?
Thanks!
Hey, I've been looking around and I haven't been able to find out how to make the map go fullscreen like this (I believe this person has your mod- it has the same features)
Nope, this isn't my mod. Check out Xaero's World Map though.

Okay, thanks for the help!

On-map and in-game waypoints are on. "Waypoints" is greyed out in settings
Edit: "waypoints" is not greyed out when settings are accessed in game. Still no waypoints though
I was so worried xD
Let me know if the problem is fixed in the latest version. I remember fixing a similar issue.
Do they show up in the waypoints GUI or on the minimap?

I am no computer pro so I hope that makes sense.
