Just fixed the flickering-thingy on cannonballs. Now they look many times better, and don't flicker in the air, thing that could be kind of a problem when playing....
If you ask, the Units still don't have the correct AI. They're still W.I.P, that's why they attack you and not obey you.
This is how the Unit AI would work, and everything related to it.
Okay; you have your Altar, and made the Spawner item for any unit. Let's say it's a Phalanx.
You have it there, for now, it justs wanders around without doing much of a thing. That is, until you attack a mob, and he'll attack too. The phalanx will also attack any mob that is looking for you, and mobs that don't follow the same owner.
Now, the colors. In the Age Of Empires games, you had to choose between 8 colors for your empire. In the mod, the color (might) be calculated somehow, depending on the owner. The result will always be the same, depending on the user. It's just some Character magic(R). My problem would be when two users have very similar names, the result would be similar colors. I'm thinking of adding a GUI to each unit, that shows the owner name, the stats, the unit type, etc.
Maybe I can do the same for each structure, those would be slightly more complicated, since to recolor the necessary blocks, I would need a Tile Entity, which can cause lag and some things.
So, do you like the way the colors would function? The idea before was to make it so you could change it on the GUI screen, but many problems came in with that idea.
Also, CELEBRATE! Look at dis:
If you add up the number of downloads on b1a (private version with a quick-fix); v6 and the source code, you get 314 downloads. Thank you so much guys! Also, 314 are the first three digits of Pi, which is cool-cool
And as a last edit, I was finding reposts of the mod on the internet, and somehow I found some sites that were redistributing the mod, but using my own mediafire link (added in the same date, same weight, everything), AND crediting me. God, these people are ACTUALLY doing something well! And it helps!
*Added crafting for the designer (I'm so sorry for not doing it before, I'm a dweeb). Crafted like this:
[A][A][A], Where A is Cobblestone and B is Iron Ingot.
*Added crafting for Steel Carving Knives.
I'm gonna start working now on the red currant (Or plain "berry") bushes. They're gonna have a similar farming process to the Aether's blue berries-I don't remember the exact name-it will be a block like tall grass, that when broken, it will place the berry-less bush, then grow again.
Then please gimme some, I'd really like it. Though the mod doesn't only include things from the Medieval ages (middle ages) but also a lot from the ancient history too (I've only, or mostly made Ancient content here).
Well anyways who cares about that, I'd really like you to give me some ideas. Of course, I will put you in the credits.
There, scroll down a bit and you'll find a "Signature" section. Here is where you copy the code I posted in the frontpage. But since MCF is really freakin' buggy, I'll just type it up for you here, without the changes the forum made:
Just finished the berry bushes, they had some texturing problems, that's why it came so late. Until now, it's pretty much an oak sapling with berries, but maybe some more leaves can make it look somehow unique or distinguishable. Just gotta add names, and that'd be it.
Good ideas, I'll keep them in mind. Don't really know what a scone is but I'll be reading about it XD (not a natve speaker) also, bigger doors and stuff would be cool. It's really necessary for castles.
