Alright, so a lot of people have been asking how to make ships submersible. If you're not sure I made a quick video to explain, Sorry for the low audio but it does explain.
Thanks for the video. I'm sure this will clear up all of the confusion. Btw, how about cars? It beats the original idea (ships), but i've never seen a car mod (at least for 1.8), that allows you to build your own car!
It sucks the 1.7 version is exactly the same as the original version.
Nothing is OreDict and Rotating steam engine.
At least theres minetweaker.
Don't post without actually understanding what the 1.7 version has, there's a HUGE amount of core code rewrites, it fixes a memory leak with the original mod, it adds the anchor point and more things I can't even name. It may not be 'feature packed' but saying it's the same is just flat out incorrect.
you should add an optional upgrade block which tells the ship to not eject the player when they dismount (basically the player can walk about and interact with blocks normally inside the ship while it is assembled) this mod is fun, but without that upgrade... its almost useless.

It sure would be nice if we had some grenades don't you think?

Strange. When I try flying something, it says there was an issue starting Moving World. I ramped the max ship size up to 9999 for the heck of it, assuming there's no limit. Mashing the "Assemble" command rapidly eventually works, with each attempt slightly raising the number of registered blocks until hitting around 5100 total. When I fly the ship, it just vanishes altogether and I fall straight down. No sign of an entity either, remaining pieces are breakable and normal (Redstone torches, iron fence, some random blocks). It was different each time I tried it.
What's my problem here? I have that Iterative Algorithm stuff enabled but it just seems to negate the "mashing" step. Turning it on also removes half of the ship from existence instead of the whole thing. Subsequent attempts with the leftover half still cause pieces to simply vanish upon starting up.
Thank you very much! I was only asking because on the first post there was something saying "don't put videos of this mod on websites with ads on" and I don't use adverts on my YouTube videos, but I might possibly in a few years, though it's unlikely.
I think you just misunderstood, that's just so people don't host the mod files on other sites full of ads with misleading titles and such.

I need a bit more info than that, what version of the mods are you using? Does this occur with the original archimedes? Can I have the fml log to see what's going on?

Can you decode this crash for me. I get this 'sometimes' when mounting the ship; all the time when renaming the ship; and rarely when disassembling the ship. Love the mod otherwise!

Since posting, I narrowed down the problem, and fortunately it was not the ship mod causing the problem. Some sort of incompatibility with a certain display pillar mod caused the incident (Someone else must have put it down as I didn't notice it until now). If you're still interested I could try finding the fml log to shed some light on it.

I don't see any references to any of my code in that crash log, try removing mods one by one and seeing what happens when they're removed. This could very likely be an incompatibility.

Ah, no worries. The log wouldn't be much help to me if it was another mod causing the problem as it would be related to their code and not mine

That's really weird, can you hop on the irc with the link on the main post that would make this a bit easier.

You're allowed, that doesn't mean the spotlight will be on the main post but you can still make a video.

Can you decode this crash for me. I get this 'sometimes' when mounting the ship; all the time when renaming the ship; and rarely when disassembling the ship. Love the mod otherwise!
edit: I'm running:
Java 8u51
Minecraft 1.7.10
Forge 10.13.4.1448
as well as mods which I'm sure you can see in the crash report. Thanks again!
