1.8 development is now starting, consider the 1.7.10 beta build stable, if there are major bugs found while there is no stable 1.8 build I will patch them, but once there's a 1.8 build out 1.7.10 will no longer be supported.
I would like to see the mod continue but that doesn't change facts.
@mdf25 That is the license that I posted but thank you for linking it.
The door was opened for discussion when he chose to post the comment from the mod page here. When I saw the response I thought I would expand upon the original comment. I didn't think I'd need to include the definition but here it is.
Sub license:
a license or contract granted to a third party by a licensee for specified rights or uses of a product, brand name, logo, etc.
As worded it grants the ability to, but does not itself grant a sub license.
One thing that both the original commenter and myself have both pointed out is the main portion that is at issue.
The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software.
By his own admission the base code is still the original. So by definition a 'substantial portion' of the mod. Yet when you look at his license there is just the Creative Commons one and no portion of the original which this line from it makes required.
Yes, I have better things to do with my time. If he wants to leave himself open to having it taken down should the original author return and decide it should be that's up to him.
I wonder what authority you imagine will "take it down" (and why did you create an account to make these ridiculous posts?)
Even if there was an answer it'd be a moot point anyway - the original author obviously no longer has any interest in the mod.

I've changed a substantial portion of the code as well (REWROTE THE ENTIRETY OF THE NETWORKING CODE), even if I added the notice saying that some of the original code was MIT it wouldn't do anything. I would still have control of the code that relies on my networking code, and relies on MovingWorld Lib. The mod is creative commons, I'm not overly strict about this but I'm also not changing the license. I have had several requests for the mod to be used in packs, none of them have been denied. I've spent months working on making this mod actually usable for people, you can see all of the commits I've done on github, there's been a huge amount of work done. And as I said before, if you want to talk about licensing issues message me, and don't sour the entire thread with legal mumbo jumbo.
There's a large possibility that the MetaRotation system will either be removed or made optional. Minecraft 1.8 adds the property system that makes facing directions for things like furnaces handled by a property with the name facing. This is under an assumption that modders use the system properly, if they do then I will remove the MetaRotation system.

If it's not to late for the requests but something that would allow a ship to move to an other dimension would really complete this mod for me because we use galacticraft so when we move to other worlds we are forced to leave our ships behind.
Also a block to convert airballon from the original AS to this would be awesome since you don't intend to keep the mods compatible
Ok so i now notice that you can convert the old archimedes ship mod builds into the plus so its semi reverse compatible this is amazing as I do not have to rebuild anything.!
I'd imagine they're taking about ChickenBone's Wireless Redstone solution. A huge thing I want to implement in the future is making the MovingWorld mod a little more literal, at this point they're more MovingChunks than anything else. If I'm able to get them to act like miniature worlds then it would be possible to have lots of tile work as expected (redstone, furnaces, buildcraft pipes, etc.).
Dude cy ty umiesz Mowicz po Polsku? can you help me fix my Airbus A380 its huge and it wont fly
ETA for 1.8?
:3
I think by default you can't make a ship bigger than 1024 blocks, but you can change that number in the configs. ^^

I like this mod especially for cinematic even though my computer can't handle it but its good can't wait for the propeller.
Streaming on updating to 1.8.Just ignore that guy dem.
Lots of core code has changed, don't expect it too soon, but not too late either.

Oh that would be good.
So when will this be out?

I'm not a coder/programmer, but I'm fairly sure this could be done with something similar to WorldEdit or PreciousStones plugin.
Ofc correct me if I'm wrong.

I didn't know that world edit provided this kind of capacity thanks for the hint

MovingWorld on github now has no errors, it's not functional but all the code that needed to be converted to BlockPos has been done.
Hey could you possibly add the ability to support wireless redstone systems?
What kind of support are you talking about?
