Yeah it is a ridiculous question, I'm aware, but other then how absurd 150,000 sounds, I didn't have a real argument against it, save possible lag. He pretty much wanted to use it to make a flying citadel, and not wanting to seem like the bad guy for no good reason, I wanted to check what other people would say. So thanks for replying and giving me a reason to hold me resolve on the size.
Technically it's possible but assembly is done on a single thread so that can and will take some time, and even if it completes I'd imagine it would be eating a lot of ram.
one of the biggest cons with ships+ verses archimdeses ships .(for me)
is the lack of support for carpenters blocks.
carpenters blocks version 3.3.4.2
worked with archimedes ships perfectly fine. at some point. carpenters updated and broke compatability with archimedes ships.
archimedes ships plus currently will not support carpenters blocks properly. then again . normal archimedes ships no longer supports latest version either.
the problem lies in the way blocks are displayed and rotational values are handled.
go back to old archimedes with carpenters blocks version 3.3.4.2 and it should work. maybe what worked there can be looked at and fixed here?
apart from that, there is NO reason i would use the old archimedes.none whatsoever. its a very good udpate
It's more of a trade off, I understand the frustration many have with this bug and I find it annoying as well but the way they render blocks now there's not a whole lot I can do that isn't just delaying the problem. The fact is that MovingWorld was just the first step in making AS+ a more friendly mod to develop with there are still many under the hood changes that need to be made, my first priority at the moment is getting the 1.7.10 build with backported features released then I will work on some of the major changes I want implemented.

So, has anyone found any major bugs in the Unstable 1.7 builds? If not I'll be bumping them to stable by Saturday.
I should be streaming development this Saturday around 6:30PM PST, if you're not sure what time that is in your timezone use this: http://www.timebie.com/std/pst.php?q=16.5
Will there ever be a stable 1.7.10 build or has development focus shifted?
There have been no overly substantial bug reports for the build marked unstable, it will be bumped in the next week or so if no major bugs are reported. I personally consider it fairly stable but think it should be tested more thoroughly.
Hi everyone, just want to explain the lack of activity the past few days in regards to development.
I'm currently working on a small program I'm being payed to develop, I don't expect this to take more than 1-2 weeks. Once that's done I'll be back to developing the mod for you guys!
I'm bumping the 1.7.10 builds to stable as there doesn't seem to be any major bugs people have found. Please feel free to continue with the suggestions as they will be considered!
Liquid Fuels is definitely coming in the future, as well as a change in the ship gui to properly display how much fuel your ship has.
As stated in my last post though I am currently doing a small payed project so don't expect too many major feature updates in the next 2-3 weeks

I have three suggestions:
1. Password/ Ship-lock
please add a password to the helm, so the ship cant be hi-jacked - or, maybe better, a lock-option. All the blocks are assambled to the ship, maybe it is possible to lock all the blocks in the helm menu. No other player can grief that ship or steal from chests. This would be awesome for multiplayer.
2. Recipe
There are three types of player:
1. Just a ship in water, no flying is used.
2. Airship users, classical with airbaloons
3. Spaceship - no airbaloons, just flying giant futuristic bases.
I my opinion the third playergroup should be able to change the helm-recipe to a much more expensive one. Or may it will be possible to add an new "Airship-Helm" - much more expensive. The regular helm should be as cheap as it is (4wood 4sticks 1iron), but should not be able to fly airships.
3. Boarding mecanism
for the future it will be nice to add a new block, that produces an elevator beam (up and down), known from ufo-movies. Maybe with a remote control, or just a key-binding, if you stand in the beam. A shiny future-spaceship, with ladders looks... funny
It is an amazing mod. Our ship and airship can move! I think you can make it better. I want more people to know this mod and give you advices, so can I share this mod with Chinese players in a Chinese forum"MCBBS"? (http://www.mcbbs.net)
Technically it's possible but assembly is done on a single thread so that can and will take some time, and even if it completes I'd imagine it would be eating a lot of ram.
Quick info blurb at 3AM.
you should add guns and allow ships to go under water
It's more of a trade off, I understand the frustration many have with this bug and I find it annoying as well but the way they render blocks now there's not a whole lot I can do that isn't just delaying the problem. Alpha 1.7.10 builds with submersibles heading your way soon everyone!
Unstable 1.7.10 builds added to the main post under regular downloads inside a spoiler, curseforge links are going up soon with the changelogs.
YESSSSSSSSS. Thank you very much good sir!!

Read the first post completely.
It's something that will be fixed in time but it's just a major change on how carpenters blocks gets it's information about neighbours.
Hope to see some of you there
yes!
Fuels are already togglable - just check the config file in the config folder.
I see you recently changed your permissions. Can I continue to use this mod in my modpack Ars Infinitum? It's distributed on the FTB Launcher.
I my opinion the third playergroup should be able to change the helm-recipe to a much more expensive one. Or may it will be possible to add an new "Airship-Helm" - much more expensive. The regular helm should be as cheap as it is (4wood 4sticks 1iron), but should not be able to fly airships.
3. Boarding mecanism
for the future it will be nice to add a new block, that produces an elevator beam (up and down), known from ufo-movies. Maybe with a remote control, or just a key-binding, if you stand in the beam. A shiny future-spaceship, with ladders looks... funny
Thanks for reading and keep up that great mod!
Have a nice weekend.
It is an amazing mod. Our ship and airship can move! I think you can make it better. I want more people to know this mod and give you advices, so can I share this mod with Chinese players in a Chinese forum"MCBBS"? (http://www.mcbbs.net)
